Crowded and and basically always cool. The die entrance has a line sometimes but inside the drinks strong and the view is spectacular. Nice vibes and a bunch of history reside here. It gets more and less clubby dependency on the night. I got really drunk here and after we walked over to the standard to get some fancy 24hour diner food. Still a sweet ass dig on Sunset. Do you grab my ass Mr. Zadir?

I came to the Skybar at Mondrian on Sunset near La Cienaga for an event on 6⁄23. The bartenders and bouncer were actually pretty good. We dropped $ 125 at Skybar, and $ 200 at Ivory. So why the 1 Star? Well, when we left it took 45 minutes for the valet to retrieve my car. They made the excuse of 200 cars for the event, and 4 lots. Sorry, but thats a Fukn Bull$hit excuse when there was hardly anybody waiting when I paid the overpriced $ 15 valet fee. Additionally, I arrived early for the event, so my car should have been in a lot closer to the hotel. Fuk the Mondrian, Skybar, Ivory, and the valet parking bull$hit. I’m never coming here again, and I suggest you avoid the Mondrian, Ivory, and Skybar too!!!

This place is always a hit or a miss. If you come on a busy day, forget it. The service is beyond slow when it’s busy and sometimes even when it’s not which I don’t understand. Also they overcharged my card once on top of the fact that they’re already somewhat pricey so make sure you check your credit card account afterwards. However; the vibe is very enjoyable and their drinks(especially their Mai tai) are amazing. I would tell people to at least try it once and hope for a good experience.

We came on a Friday night for a friend’s birthday and it’s a beautiful outdoor venue. It’s large enough that it doesn’t become crowded and packed. It’s a very relax/chill lounge. You can also get a 180 view of WeHo which was beautiful at night. Music was not too loud making it easy for us to talk without screaming into each other’s ears. I loved the ambiance and feel. The décor was my favorite part of the entire place to be honest! I felt like I was in someone’s classy backyard. The drinks however were extremely overpriced… A simple strawberry margarita was about $ 16. Otherwise, beautiful lounge, I would definitely come again for the atmosphere.

Enjoyed some drinks with friends on Friday night and left really content with the view, service and over all ambiance. It was refreshing to visit a lounge with such a mature vibe since it wasn’t a loud or obnoxious setting that hindered us from having a nice chat. The drinks aren’t overpriced considering there is no entry fee.

this place is basically a tourist trap. drinks are crazy expensive and the bar service beyond slow. Really nice views but if you don’t wear Drakkar Noir or aren’t hooking this ain’t the spot for you. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Katana or next door to Bar 20.

Skybar is a nice venue, and I enjoyed spending an afternoon there… until I looked at my credit card statement. Turns out they overcharged me on BOTH of my bar tabs(and not even subtly — they rounded to the nearest $ 20). Safe to say I’ll be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

My first time at Skybar and it was awesome! I was visiting from out of town and went out with my friend. We went on a weeknight so it was very chill and not at all crowed. It was very easy to find a comfy seat to sit and sip our drinks by the pool. The atmosphere is wonderful, so relaxing and inviting. The views overlooking LA are hard to beat! The bartender that night was wonderful! He gave us quick and efficient service, and my drink was delicious. The drinks were pricy but good. The bouncer at the door, Clay, was very friendly and accommodating. He was a great first impression! Overall our night at Skybar was a great night out! If you’re looking for a beautiful bar with killer views, this is the place!

I was at Skybar last Saturday and I asked a waitress to take a photo of my friends and I. She snaps 2 quick photos of us while we weren’t ready, so we politely asked her to take another one. In a rude and snobby tone she says«I don’t have time to take another one» and hands our phone back and runs off. We were shocked with her attitude and how RUDE she was! Here’s a little advice for that waitress: next time you need to run off for your minimum wage waitressing job, you can at least be NICE about it to the other paying customers.

Worst experience of my life! I begged my husband to come to Mondrian for our buisness trip even though we got a better deal at the Rosevelt and it was the worst mistake ever. First of all the waitresses didn’t even acknowledge me for atleast an hour. Then I got a tab for one prove and had it taken from me and jacked up 35 $ for«gratuity«even though it was just my husband and i. very unprofessional the last time I will ever return to the Mondrian and SkyBar unprofessional. Can’t wait to leave my BBB review I was discriminated against and talked down to.

They sold us a ticked through eventbrite and even mandate us to dress white and we arrived at 10 and they claim that only they allow VIP but we saw how the doorman get paid bribes by others $ 40 and let those who didn’t have ticket in. It’s a scam and waste of our time and our money for valet and paid for ticket. Since we stayed at the hotel we got in after juice the guy $ 30, okay let say no big deal, but then once by the pool they have another doorman to go to bar to buy drink or hang by the pool with empty hand and dry throat. So we have to wait behind another line and another testy doorman to buy a drink. We end up go upstairs as it was very poorly organized.

To start off I never Unilocal. But yesterday night I had reserved a table at the sky bar and to start off I walked in and I had reserved a table in the upper patio area but they told me those tables there had a higher minimum. Ok sure I guess. So first they got my table wrong. Then when people started coming in I ordered my 2 bottles and they came everything was fine. Then once I had 2 more of my friends stop by because they were in the area they waited outside for about 25min because they said I had exceeded my 12 person maximum for my bottles and if I wanted to let them in I needed to raise my minimum of the table another $ 250. So I did because no one would leave 2 of their friends outside. So for my 3rd bottle I ordered a bottle of champagne since I figured the girls would want some but instead they wanted vodka. After an hour and speaking to 3 workers they finally got my bottle. But now we had to wait another 35min for cups. Instead of enjoying my birthday last night I was running around making sure everyone was fine and that the table was being taken care of since everything was such a big deal. One staff member says they are under staffed and after I spoke with the manager he laughed and said that’s funny because we’re not. It was a nightmare and I will definitely never do another event there let alone go there myself. Guys 1 bottle gets 6 people in. If you plan on having more this is not the place for it. You have no freedom to have as many people as you want wether its planned for them to come or if they just stop by. The manager was very nice and appreciated what I had to say. But what a nightmare I regretted even putting something together last night.

VALETIS $ 20! And $ 40 if you stay over 4 hours! That is just insane. I just hope that the Mondrian pays their Valet staff well because with that price tag, they’re not getting any tips. Skybar itself is a really nice area, but I must say I’m disappointed that it’s not a rooftop bar, given the name. My husband got scotch here($ 25) and I got some white wine, both were a bit overpriced for my taste, but hey, you’re on the Sunset strip, so we came here expecting that. Overall, pretty nice, large space. Also looks to be great area to host a birthday or event.

This was my 2nd time at Skybar. The first time was on a Saturday night a few months back for my friends birthday, the second time was on a Monday night. Both experiences were nice but a bit different from each other. On Saturday night this place can get pretty crowded with no place to sit(unless you have a table). On Monday it was a lot more chill with lots of lounging areas available. From what I recall, the wait to get in wasn’t too bad when I came on a Saturday night and on Monday there was no wait at all. The two biggest downfalls about this place is that the valet parking is $ 20(street parking could get a little challenging but there is public parking across the street for $ 12) and the drinks are pretty price($ 16 for a cocktail) a little too much in my opinion… but I have to admit the drinks are very well made… specially the mojito! Side note: Props to the bartender working tonight(Monday)… He was very charismatic, attentive and quick. This place has wonderful ambience and great décor. I wouldn’t call this my favorite spot but I’ll definitely be coming back.

Soooooo LA… sooooooo Hollywood… which makes this a unique place that I like checking out. You can’t find a lounge like this in San Francisco. Swimming pool… breezy/shaded upstairs seating… nice view of LA… perfect on a sunny day! But the drinks are way overpriced(i would get the mai tai if you want more bang for the buck) and service is extremely slow and standoffish.

Very pretty as anyone who has been here would know. Spacious as well. Ambiance for days. All these things were nice. What wasn’t so nice was that I had one of the worst Old Fashioned’s ever here. Way too sweet, no bitters, no orange peel, just not a good time.(Pretty standard drink at a bar too, smh) If the bar does a bit better with their drinks, I’ll be back.

Nice enough place for drinks and socializing with a great view over Hollywood. Seemed more quiet and intimate than many places in the neighborhood. The bar is elevated and separate to the pool area; the blue luminescence of the pool appears absolutely gorgeous beneath the bar. The lounge area has a lot of space and is a good bet for a group outing. Bartenders were friendly enough. I felt sort of blah about the Skybar. Perhaps it was an off night(Wed)!

I think this is still one of the most beautiful outdoor pool lounge in WeHo, it’s at Mondrian hotel on Sunset. We were just at Katana restaurant across the street, looking for a lounge nearby after dinner. Didn’t make a reservation cause we didn’t plan to come here, but one of the gentlemen at the door let us in right away, it was very nice of him considering it was Labor Day weekend Saturday, a line was forming outside already, Since we came in late, all the tables by the pool were sold out, so we got a table upstairs at the bar and lounge area. Ordered bottle of Grey Goose with pineapple juice, red bull and Perrier sparkling waters. The seatings were quite comfy and intimate, I liked it a lot. It got really crowded later on, glad we had a table so we didn’t need to worry about finding a place to sit, and there was no place to sit anyways. It was a fun evening, very friendly crowd, we sure had a great time on my birthday/Labor day weekend!

A group of 8 of us attended a free movie night hosted at their pool. The movie was set to start at 8pm and Who Framed Roger Rabbit was supposed to show. We arrived at 705pm which was absolutely perfect. We grabbed the best seats and chatted till the movie started. Everything was good until a couple of things happened. Our waitress was rude. She seemed annoyed when we requested a menu even though another worker had told us to ask for one. She disappeared for over 30 minutes till we asked another server who sent her over. She was rude taking our order then told us none of the cocktails were available, just beer and wine which would have been helpful if she had just told us in the beginning. Next, a worker needed to accommodate some«VIP» people and he requested 4 of our seats… Which was half of our seating… He said he would give us two other raised seats if we could squish together. Luckily the seats are large and we were small so it worked out. Then instead of Roger Rabbit lighting up the screen it was Pretty Woman. Shoot. Their website listed Roger Rabbit so everyone was a bit disappointed and it made me look like a bad planner. Two friends decided to leave after 30 minutes cause they were hungry and they didn’t like the movie. The wait for food was over an hour as well which sucked. I ordered chips and guac and my friend ordered the chicken club sandwich, both were mediocre. The reason this review is a high 4 stars is because the worker who asked to remove our seats redeemed our experience by giving us free popcorn and piña colada samples. I happen to love Pretty Woman so my experience wasn’t shunted and I was very happy with the venue and experience. I removed one star because of the rude waitress and because they allow smoking which gives me headaches and doesnt seem appropriate by a pool. Aside from that we had a fun night and I would return for another. Also, we found street parking and saved $ 18 valet!

I have attended many private events here and they are always well done. I know many of them are PR to attract celebrities so they can photograph them here, which just adds to the fun. I do love the flow of the space and décor. The pool area is very nicely done with interesting open windows upstairs and down, –so the crane hanging in the background next door is hardly noticeable. If you like vodka drinks, before this last event, we got a drink in the Herringbone Bar adjacent to the pool — it was the best drink I ever had — Brad’s Pear Achilles Peel! Clay gets points for be very helpful and friendly, but Brad’s recipe beats them all! I only took a star off because the valet parking I feel should be comped for events like other hotels do like the Marina Del Rey Marriot does. Other than that, this place rocks!

I came here for a business event and we needed some snacks to line our stomachs. The Skybar is located on Sunset, just East of La Cienega in Hollywood at the Mondrian Hotel. In addition to what we ordered, they offer burgers, chicken tenders, and chicken wings. We ordered the ahi tartare($ 17), and the ceviche tostada($ 12). To drink, I had a Don Julio rocks($ 14). First of all, the tartare wasn’t very good. It was drowned in some kind of mayonnaise-y kinda sauce(think bad poke). Additionally, it was way overpriced for the portion: 2 Stars. Secondarily, the tostada was just OK. Nothing stood out about the ceviche, and it was also overpriced(though not as much as the tartare): 3 Stars. Regarding the ambiance, it is outstanding. It is like someone’s backyard. There are a couple of levels. The first level has a bar and the pool. The second level has a bar and a lounge area: 5 Stars. On the other hand, service was mixed. I bought my drink from the upstairs bar, and the female Azn bartender was a little cold: 3 Stars. However, the waitress was really nice and friendly: 4 Stars. Lastly, the kitchen was pretty bad. The food took forever, and it wasn’t that crowded: 2 Stars. Regardless of the food, I would come back here in a heartbeat. The ambiance is excellent, and the service is good for the most part. Just make sure you come only for the drinks, and eat elsewhere beforehand!

I want here today for a pool party. It was $ 10 for admission if you ordered your tickets ahead of time. Which is reasonable. We arrived at about 1:45(the party started at 1pm) and there were no open seats in site. The employees in the blue shirts were running the party and they told us all of the lounge chairs are reserved for hotel guests, and the large lounges were paid for already. So they brought us towels and we posted up on the ground by the pool. One employee warned us that we might have to move if they need to bring out more lounge chairs but they never did, which we really appreciated. As the day went on it got busier and busier so we were lucky to have a spot. The bathrooms were very clean and close by the pool. We ordered some skinny margaritas and it was $ 28 for two. Which sounds like alot but the bartender gave us each a drink and a half(which he called a shot). So it was actually a good deal! & the drink was so refreshing. So overall the drinks were priced the same as any other LA hot spot. The staff was just very friendly and helpful over all. The place itself was clean and the crowd was very normal. We met a few people that were very friendly and nice, which is kinda unexpected in LA. I would definitely want to come back! Maybe on a weekday. Even though I work M-F so I guess we’ll see! haha.

Jetzt war ich auch endlich mal in der legendären Sky Bar. Auch wenn die very sophisticated people einem ganz schön gegen den Strich gehen können, ist der grandiose Ausblick über L.A. unschlagbar! Daher vier Sterne. Vom Publikum und der Musik her bevorzuge ich allerdings den Dresden Room unweit des Hollywood Boulevard.

Absolute Weltklasse Bar. Gigantischer Panoramablick über Downtown L.A.
