I’ve happily followed Raymond here. He’s a great barber who used to be a 10min walk from my house in Los Feliz, so this is a bit tricky, but it’s worth it for a barber who has never messed up a haircut. That is rare!

Juan is wonderful! I am so happy and satisfied with my hair cut and color. He’s a great person to be around, very funny and provides quality customer service. Definitely recommend Juan

I bought a livingsicial coupon for a Brazilian blowout with Omar at the W Salon in Studio 73. When I arrived Omar was in the early stages of working with another client and kept me waiting for ½ hour with no apology, as my parking meter ran. When he sat me down he suggested I might want to reschedule, informing me that I would have to wait 2 months after my appointment to color my hair. (Absolutely not true, I never waited 2 months after past Brazilan blowouts.) when I said to do it anyway, he then informed me there would be a surcharge for long hair, printed in rhe deal. I agreed and luckily thought to ask how much. He quoted a price of $ 60 in addition to my $ 90 livingsocial deal! In other places it’s $ 20 or &25 extra. I walked out and took a refund from livingsocial. A dishonest and sneaky businessman.

As a YouTube Personality and Blogger, I get a lot of FB messages, emails, etc… Typically they’re about diet and health (considering that’s my niche) but these days… The messages are ABOUT MY HAIR and who highlights it!!!
Well Alex… You can thank me for the influx of clients you may be getting in the upcoming works because I regaled to all about your terrific work! I will most certainly be coming back myself as well, so start mixing your colors NOW! :)

I had a great first time experience. My hair stylist was Juan. He did such an amazing job on my not so fabulous platinum (leopard) hair. I went in for my roots and a treatment and let me just say he made my hair feel and look so healthy and bouncy with that fabulous Blow Out… oh lord! :)
My appointment took a little longer than anticipated due to me basically messing up my own hair. Juan was such a sweetheart, very friendly, attentive and patient. Not once did he make me feel like he was rushing to just be done and assist his next appointment. I absolutely appreciate how important it was for him that I did not leave the salon unhappy.
The staff was amazing and love how they work as a team. They are all so friendly and welcoming. Thank you so much Juan, you made my platinum hair look fabulous and most importantly you brought it back to life! :) –Diana

Kacey Klos is the best hair stylist I have been to. I got extensions, Brazilian blowout, highlights, and color. She did an amazing job and is very punctual & professional. I highly recommend Kacey!

Had a great experience at Salon 73. They were able to get me an appointment with Kacey Klos the same day I called in. Which is what I really wanted. The salon was nice and clean, simple, not over the top at all. Kacey was super friendly and true professional. She did partial highlights «lowlights» to my hair, and recreated my layers. She took off all the damaged ends and the orange from going red to blonde. Absolutely love the revamp she did to it. Definitely coming back, Thanks Kacey

FYI, Tony is now at Studio Republic in West Hollywood, working in T and T’s Studio (Trina and Tiffany). They’re great and I still love going to Tony. I’m sure Alex and Theresa are still doing great work. Theresa specializes in short haircuts and the ladies always looked fly (don’t know if anybody but me still says that). I love Tony and don’t plan on leaving him any time soon, but if he becomes a celebrity stylist that charges $ 500 a visit, flies around the world with the stars and I want really short hair (which I don’t), I’d pay Theresa a visit.

KACEY IS TRUTH!
I just got one of the best styles I’ve gotten in LA. She did a full sew in weave, color, cut and style. She deep conditioned my real hair, which shows she values hair health. Plus, her personality is great. She’s fun, honest, friendly, smart and just pleasant to be around.
Even better, girl works QUICKLY. I have THICK, long hair that some folks struggle to braid. My appointment was after work (I have a boring day job). I was out of there in time to catch my shows on TV. lol. Plus, she does ethnic hair, makeup, non-​ethnic hair and pretty much everything.
There was also free parking on some of the side streets, which always helps.
I def found my new hairstylist in LA. Finally!

I love salon and people who works there. Juan saved my hairs .I had ugly hair coloring done by someone else and was very disappointed. Didnt have a hope that it could be fixed and my hairs can look vibrant and healthy again.

Love Alex! I had a red base that I didn’t like and sporadic highlights. He colored my hair to remove the red with a nice brown and then he did balayage hombre highlights all over. He added more layers, too. It was my first time with him and he was Ahhhmazing! I can’t say enough good things about him. He is accommodating and doesn’t double-​book either which is a huge plus for me. He took the time to ask me what results I was looking for and provided honest feedback. If you’re looking for a nice salon with awesome, skilled stylists this is the place to go. Thank you, Alex!

called in the morning and luckily Juan was able to take me at 2:30pm easily. I love that he has a very warm and welcoming approach as we met. definitely felt right at home with him. planned on getting a full color and highlights but he suggested color and ombré instead. my hair is now sexier than ever :) we talked about getting a few hair extensions when I come back for my retouch when it’s time. So I’m addicted to being blonde (currently going through a Gandalf the Grey shade phase) — it’s a problem, an expensive habit! When I moved out to L. A from Dublin and needed my blonde fix! I was extorted and had my hair butchered twice in two nameless salons before I came across STUDIO 73 SALON, my bleach blonde saviour in this city of «angels»!!
Alex is a sweetheart, a perfectionist and most of all a creative genius! When I first came in and told him my stories of woe about my previous experiences in salons in L. A he was so sympathetic and promised to fix me up with my hit of blonde! When I told him to make me look like a female Gandalf and he excitedly said let’s make you GREY! I loved it! before I left the salon that first time I gave him the biggest hug, he had fixed my hair, and given me the exact colour I wanted for the most amazing of prices! I instantly became a loyal customer!
The next time I went, he created a whole new colour just for me, mixing grey w/​lavender and blues and silvers… I had people stopping me on the street complimenting my super awesome, unique and original colour!
The third time I went in Alex had specifically gone out and bought some different shades of grey to try out on my hair!
Honestly lads and lassies this place is AMAZING — the environment is so much fun, you feel instantly at ease and not to mention the fact AGAIN that Alex is a genius! ! Think about it a girl goes in and asks to be turned into Gandalf The Grey and without judging or disagreeing, Alex took on the challenge and turned me into A stylish Gandalf!
So I seriously seriously recommend here — honestly I’m sold and will return again and again! Anything you want, anything crazy or simple for a super amazing price come here :)

This salon is absolutely amazing! I showed up an hour late and they still took me!
Let me start with the scalp massage, it was the best scalp massage I have ever gotten. Make sure you book your appointment with Kacey klos. She knows what she is doing.
My hair turned out amazing. She is so talented and really knows how to work all types of hair. Definitely go here! You will not be disappointed!

You made my hair look absolutely fabulous!
Starting off with jet black hair is a problem for anyone trying to go lighter, but Juan and Alex made it happen! I’m thrilled with my results and I’ll be posting pics soon. The difference is just what I wanted, subtle highlights that would balance my color that I’m going out.
The process was lengthy, but Juan was so patient. The parking was a breeze and the others hairstylists were super sweet. The place is cozy and cute and located right on Santa Monica. In West Hollywood.
They even hooked it up with some fab wine. Perfect:)

After making reservations, the owner Alex was confused to see me because he thought I called to cancel. Turns out the receptionist mixed up the names when someone else called to cancel… it happens, but not a good first impression.
I then shows Alex several pictures of my previous haircut so he could get a good idea of what I wanted. What I got was very different!
My precision cut was sorely lacking. My left side is about ½ inch longer than the right and the overall cut was a different shape than I had showed him in the pictures. I won’t be going back…

Its utterly remarkable how on earth (or any of the planets) this salon boasts a 5 star rating. My experience here was so abysmal that I’ve delayed writing this review due to the sheer horror that the memory of my post-​Studio73 hair brings me.
RIP to my virgin hair. Walked in for a single process color, and told Alex, the dementor of hair, that I would like my dark brown hair to be as light as possible without bleaching. He informed me that it would be possible to go 2 shades lighter. Instead, he dyed my hair black.
The only thing worse for your hair than intentionally dyeing it black is unintentionally dyeing it black. To combat my nausea, Alex assured me that «it just looks darker because of the lighting in here» and that «it’ll also get lighter with a few washes.»
A month later I went back and asked for a refund. There wasn’t even really an argument. He spent a few minutes trying to convince me that the color was indeed lighter than my natural hair, but I can imagine how hard it would be to even attempt to lie your way out of hair. It was worth a shot, I guess.
He gave me a partial refund for the botched dye job but retained the cost of the trim, spitefully snapping at me with «you said you liked your trim so i’m not refunding that». Which is fair, I suppose. It was a good trim. I don’t know what one would be doing being employed at a salon if they weren’t able to neither dye nor cut hair, though.
I wouldn’t wish a dye job from here upon my worst neighbor. EVEN the one whose dog ALWAYS poops on our lawn. Save yourself the heartache + $$$ for color correction.

I recently cut off all my hair for the New Year and was looking for someone who could do the up keep and styling. I found Teresa the Attitude Adjuster who is a stylist here at Studio 73 and couldn’t be happier. She is awesome and does an amazing job.
Very professional and knowledgable! I knew from just speaking to her on our initial phone call that she was a gem. Teresa asked that I come in and meet her her first to get a feel for my hair and texture and the initial consultation. She wanted to make sure we were a good fit for each other.
I would highly recommend her; I’m bi-​racial with curly hair and she was not afraid to cut. She does excellent short cuts and styles but can do all hair styles.
