The wait can be quite long so be prepared, yet the ladies were thorough in their work.

terrible. I went for a polish change. They were busy so rushed me. Some parts of my nail are not even polished while others are so thick that when they put me in front of the fan it created ripples. They didn’t care when I told them but they did care when I refused to tip.

If you’re looking for a nail & waxing place, this is the spot to go to in town. I’ve been going here since they first opened which is about ten years ago. They have the best prices and they do a really good job. The ladies are friendly and professional. Parking is great. You can find parking easily since they have a big parking lot. I love the eye brow waxing from this place also. They really know how to shape the brows! I love to get my manicure & pedicure done from here. Just let the ladies know how short or long you want to have your nails trimmed and if you want to have your cuticle cut and they’ll do whatever you want. I’ve always had a good experience with my nails. I’d strongly recommend this place!

STOP! This place blows, Iisten to me, there are better places to go for nails or eyebrows in this city. I used to go to this place when I was young and I didn’t know better. It was a block from my house & it was cheap. Without going on and on, let me just hit the NAIL on its head: cons: — The quality on the manicure is poor, and un equal. Constantly! — Each time I went I ended up with bleeding cuticles. — The girls are rough & don’t speak a word of English. — No massage or any kind of personal service. — Often a long waiting time. — Charge $ 1 for a credit card transaction. Yet insisted about a tip. — Don’t dare go for eyebrow waxing.(Keep reading) Pros: — Parking nearby(good luck) — Trader Joe’s & Coffee shop nearby — Relatively Cheap — Massage coaches(will f up your back) Do not dare go for Eyebrow waxing. There is only 1 lady who’s doing it & she is scary, brutal, hard to communicate with, bluntly not a nice person & she will destroy your eyebrows & would never admit it. I can not do my own eyebrows, can’t shape them & It’s painful when I do it myself. What do you want, I’m a guy after all! So I used to go there & ask leather face to do it for me, she didn’t get it right even once, each time it got all Crockett so I had to hold a mirror while she’s was plucking my hairs out while instructing her. One time I was traumatized when she over plucked it into a feminine shape so I had to walk around with girlie eyebrows! But the straw with that salon was when the beast put boiling wax on my eyebrows & skin around it and burned my skin so bad, it took 3 weeks to recover. Plain hell — I wish I would know better! It got really embarrassing when I sent my tourist friend who arrived from Austria to do his nails over there (he had tight schedule & needed his nails done asap). All I heard from him is disappointed laughs about how bad of a job they did how he can’t believe I sent him there. All star nail — Never again! Yalla Bye!

I“ve been going to All Star Nail in West Hollywood for probably ten years. Inexpensive. Fast. No drama. i just can’t stand the snobby vibe in most nail salons. All Star is the Trader Joe’s shopping Center(plus), big parking lot(plus), Bombay Grill and a cute little coffee house also share the lot(plus, plus). I usually order some samosas at the Bombay Grill, then pick them up when my nails are done. I get a manicure and pedicure at Star Nails, which is the least expensive mani-pedi in town, I think. You just have to insist they don’t cut your cuticles, otherwise, most of the women are very good, and they’ll paint cute designs on your toenails. :) If I’m going straight home after, I’ll get my eyebrows waxed. I can’t go out in public afterwards — I’m too Nordic and my skin gets all red for a couple of hours. There is a weird Russian mofia vibe in some of the other shops/restaurants and with guys standing around smoking on the sidewalks, but I don’t think it’s an issue, except maybe if you’re Russian. I ignore them and they don’t see me. I’m going to run get my nails done tomorrow morning before I go to Palm Springs. Save about $ 30 probably. My eyebrows can mellow out in the car on the way there. Remember to bring cash for tips.

Eyebrow Perfection. Seriously. Conveniently located in Trader Joe’s parking lot, I popped in for a super quick wax. It took 10 mins from start to finish. Carol waxed me and my eyebrows look AMAZING or in her words«modern magazine model». Eyebrow and lip wax for $ 12 without tip. Who needs designer brows when there’s little gems like Carol tucked in the back of your local nail salon?

Then nothing. sure I dont’ speaky Bietnamese, but gimme a break. not that I really care, but i want her to be all like hookin my nails and fingers up so pay attention! then she cutting the fudge out of my cuticles. she made a finger or two bleed. ouch. everything she was doing was was everthing wrong and really half assed. my cuticles looked horrible 2 days afterwards. wtf? looked like i didn’t even get a manicure. save you’re self some bucks. go somewhere else. I like this place a lot, been here several times and have always been pleased. The staff is always welcoming and I rarely have to wait. Clean and friendly. Lee is my favorite, she’s awesome at French manicures. Nice selection of colors. I also love the fake incense thing on the floor in the front — I have no idea what purpose it serves but it always cracks me up.

I would definatly go here for a quick eyebrow wax, however I am never going here for a «false set»(of nails) again. I recently had a job interview and decided to go here instead of my regular place because it was closer to where I was. The price was about the same, maybe even a dollar or two more, but the service was very subpar. The woman who did my nails was very rushed. She didn’t really say much other than«you have bad nails.» Yes, I bite my nails — but look lady, if girls like me didn’t bite our nails YOU wouldn’t have a job doing nails. My fingers ended up a little bloody after she used the motorized file to file my nails down. Putting the set on didn’t take very long at all, but that was probably another big problem. She didn’t measure my nails to see if they were even.(that’s also my fault for not asking.. .) but nope, NONE were even. My thumbs had a huge differential between the nails. The french tip looked very nice, I’d say that was the best part of the entire experiance. However, that doesn’t really matter when your nails start breaking off 2 days after you pay almost $ 30 to get them done! I had to go to Target and buy some nail glue and stick them back on myself everytime someone held my hand, or I opened a door too quickly. I doubt I’ll ever go back for nails again.
