First and last time I will go there. They forgot about my order and and then still made my order slow enough that someone who just got there ordered and got their food before I did. I also had to remind them what I ordered

I went here and asked them to put just rice and chicken in the bowl. I paid the regular size and did not get much chicken at all, this was a big let down. The food was good but the thing that got me most was the attitude of the clerk when I told her my frustrations on the chicken portions.

There’s not much to say. It’s a little eatery that serves awesomely delicious food by very sweet, kind, polite employees. I guess that’s a lot by today’s standards tho. :)

What happened to this flame broiler? I ordered a chicken veggie mini bowl & i see 1 broccoli, one big piece of lettuce & like 5 pieces of chicken. They are lucky im in a rush to go to work or i would have said something!

Poor management to say the least. Overall lackluster quality of food and atmosphere. The worst made up in store«warning» signs I ever seen, warning customers about their poor management style. Basically, you will not be helped if there’s a problem with your order. Rather integrated and belittled. Try the delicious and UBER friendly Greek place next door instead. Tasty as can be! You won’t regret it.

The worst location I’ve been to. They can’t seem to keep track of orders and you end up waiting a good 20 minutes. Meanwhile, the girl will take your money then go help the cook in the back without washing her hands… over it

It’s at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd & La Brea Ave right below the Target. I passed by it dozens of times because it looks kind of small on the outside. well I finally went in and was surprised to see there’s a few tables inside besides the tables outside that are shared with the Starbucks Coffee joint next door. I am so glad I walked over and checked it out. WOW. I’m hooked on Flame Broiler. my first time there I had the Chicken Bowl with Veggies and it was really good. I’m always trying to lose weight so the veggies make a good combination with the steamed rice and meat. I’m a big guy and have a healthy appetite. I was very satisfied with the large portion of grilled chicken, rice & veggies. My next visit I got the half & half {the Works}combination bowl. Beef, Chicken, Veggies and Rice. I’m hooked on the Combo Bowl. The meat is VERY tender and veggies are fresh. When you make your decision the cashier asks you if you want white or brown rice and if you want onions. I was very pleased with the finely chopped ‘Chives’ sprinkled on top. Once again. I was very happy with the very generous portion of grilled chicken and beef. I’ve been there several times now and love it. There is free parking for one hour in the shopping complex. I always take the bus and it stops right there about 150 feet from the restaurant.

Really had a hard time not giving this place two stars. The food is ok. Came out luke warm on my to go order. Not sure why i could have sworn I saw the guy using the grill in the back and I was the only person there. Maybe it was just reheated but not enough? Don’t know. Anyways, what turned me off was the sign about the return policy in front of the registers. You will never see a sign like that in any restaurant, whether that’s their policy or not. It seems like a horrible omen that they would have enough people trying to return their food that they need to have a full blown sign with their policy on it. I mean, it’s not like it’s just a sentence; it’s like a paragraph with terms and conditions. Word to the owner: keep the same policy if you want, but lose the sign. In reality, customer refunds/returns should be handled on a case by case basis. Your sign makes me not want to go back at all. What if there was a bandaid in my food? You won’t refund me? I don’t want another beef bowl – I want my money back. I didn’t order a bandaid bowl. The NOEXCEPTIONS sounds ridiculous when put into context. Also, what’s with all the cameras there? I counted 9 in just the entry and front area. The place is tiny… it just looks odd, like there’s diamonds in the chicken bowl?

This place is on point! I don’t understand the 3* average review. I’m here at least once or twice a week as it’s so convenient to my home. The food is always fresh, and really healthy. The staff is consistent and although they aren’t over the top enthusiastic they are quick at what they do and they don’t mess things up. If you want over the top«service» try a steakhouse in Beverly Hills. I highly recommend the White Meat Chicken Mini Bowl with Brown Rice(no onion, my preference). Very healthy, always cooked fresh, and very tasty. I use the Hot sauce on the chicken and Teriyaki on the rice. Thanks Flame Broiler!

I’ve repeatedly gone to this location for dinner. I’m often here at the Starbucks studying and find it very convenient to grab a bite here. The mixed half and half bowl with veggies is my favourite item to order. The meat just tastes so damn good! I’m also in love with the green hot sauce! At least a small cup or 2 of the sauce. The bowls are much healthier than most meals. Serving sizes are fair and it’s definitely worth what you spend. There are both indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve never sat inside before, as it’s often very nice outside. Seating is never scare since there are so many tables out there. You’ll often see some crazy characters while sitting out there but it’s great if you’re a people watcher. Parking is free for the first hour at the west Hollywood gateway Center. Not sure how much it costs after that hour though since I’ve never stayed that long. If I’m staying longer, I’ll walk from my apartment which is very close by.

I like this place; it’s great for a relatively cheap and healthy meal. I usually get the chicken and vegetable bowl. They tend to put way too much rice, which is my only gripe.

This is what I got from« Unilocal HQ» Hi Alberto, We’re writing to let you know that we’ve removed your review of The Flame Broiler. Our Support team has determined that it falls outside our Content Guidelines( ) because it contains personal attacks. We understand you may have had an exceptionally bad experience. While we welcome our reviewers to share their experiences and to be as descriptive as possible in those accounts, we ask that they avoid taking their grievances to a personal level. Removed Content: I’ve been here several times. The same cashier takes my order each time. I think her name is Joanna. At least that is what my receipt said. Her attitude is terrible. She never says thank you. Never smiles. She definitely has her preferred customer base because she is super friendly when she sees someone she knows. Her uniform is super filthy. It’s a dark shirt but you can tell she doesn’t care how she looks. You need better customer service at this location. Regards, Yurika Unilocal Support San Francisco, California — — — — — My response — — — — — Believe me that this«attack» isn’t personal. I give my sincerest and most accurate account of my experience at this Restaraunt that I have visited over and over. If Unilocal doesn’t want a true and accurate account of what happens at each business then why allow someone to post a review. A personal attack would mean I would need to know this person on a personal level. I don’t know Joanna or anyone who works with her. I have no personal ties to Flame Broiler or any of their parent/sister companies. No ties to the franchise owner(s). I provided a verbal account as to what I have experienced at the store. It is very frustrating when a business owner can complain or pay for removal of bad reviews on their business. A secret shopper would give you the same account without being labeled as personal. I’ll no longer be using Unilocal to find reviews or give reviews on places of business I frequent and I will be advising my peers to do the same along with referencing this email.

I usually go here with my co-workers. Lots of good seating outside, perfect for sunny LA. I order the chicken bowl and their teriyaki sauce is really good. Sometimes I get too much sauce and it’s really sweet.

Well I was expecting somewhat of a nightmare experience due to some of the recent reviews but was pleasantly surprised by this Flame Broiler. I ordered an chicken breast and veggie bowl and it was prepared quickly and tasted quite good, comparable or slightly better than Flame Broilers I’ve been to in Pasadena and Whittier. The customer service was adequate, nothing extraordinary but the cashier did say thanks and was helpful when I asked for jalapenos. I’m glad they keep them in the back chilled, rather than sitting out like other FB’s do. The grill cook was cute, hey this is West Hollywood! That may have been why I thought the wait was so short *swoon*. The courtyard ambiance is nice, which is good because the interior did smell like a grill. I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a healthy lunch or late night craving.

Okay, so… 1. The inside is always hot, and always has a musky smell. It’s dingy, and almost always looks/feels dirty. The seating area is small and cramped, which is usually fine because there’s plenty of outdoor seating. When it’s not fine is when I do decide to eat in to avoid getting flys on my food, the door is always left open and so the flys still succeed. Super annoying. 2. The food at this particular Flame Broiler is not as good as other Flame Broilers I have eaten at. 3. While the employees are nice, they don’t seem to speak or understand much english which sucks when something goes wrong and I need to explain it. Sometimes the cashier ignores the customers and the guy cooking in the back is the one to ask me if I want to order. Lol. Overall, I’m generally tired of this place and will not be coming back. I guess there’s a reason why the La Salsa across from here always seems much busier.

It’s good. I order all veggies, no rice. They charge 75¢ more. But worth it. Though last two times we noticed their soda machine had no taste… Like they were watering down the syrup for the soda. So I stopped ordering any drinks from them and get one at another restaurant.

Not a bad place just not a good place either. Either there is no A/C in this place or it was broken because it was very hot in there. The rice was overcooked. The location in Tulsa is much nicer.

I can’t believe I’m writing this review of Flame Broilers. It’s like reviewing McDonalds. But here, we are… came here after we received about a million coupons in those coupon books that invade your mailbox. This location is nice because of the outdoor seating and proximity to Target and other nearby errands you may have. Oh wowee fast food and Target, what a hell of a day you’re going to have! But FB is a nice change from other disgusting and fattening fast food. Ever have one of those hard balls inside one of your chicken nuggets? Sick! Plus I don’t eat burgers, so if you’re interested in saving your arteries, this is a good option while on the go. I usually get a bowl with chicken and vegetables. But if I’m feeling especially healthy or I’ve had a pound of pasta or pizza the night before, I’ll opt for a carb free platter with the chicken and double vegetables instead of rice. They have several self-serve sauces, which are a nice option to cover the otherwise bland vegetables. Everything is fast and fresh. The only suggestion I’d have is to ask for all white meat if you’re going to chicken route. Otherwise you will get stuck with a greasier grab bag of chopped mysterious pieces and tendons. But hey, some people like the dark side. They charge a bit extra but nothing much. Don’t forget your coupon!
