We had to give the place a try and the food was pretty good. The meats were tasty and the servings were large. Their prices are high and the space is strange. They served green enchilada sauce with the chips which we didn’t care for much. The wobbly table and the tape on the dirty windows would be easy fixes but exterior paint seems to take priority.

Food was alright. service was a little slow. The only complaint I have is that they got my husbands order wrong.

Terrible all around. I tried most of their tacos. The meats inside were all overcooked. Al pastor was so dry it was like jerky. carnitas wet bland globs. Salsa bar is severely lacking, but has plenty of fruit flies. Beyond bad food, dining room is filthy, especially under tables. bathrooms old and dirty. rusty swamp cooler leaking a puddle in the dining room. provocative murals on the walls. Service is nonexistent. On our last visit, we were lone diners, but we barely saw our server, and while we were ignored her kids had free roam of the place, screaming, crying, beating on each other, it was a mad house. I complained about the food, but I was barely acknowledged. Cook in the back glared at us as we left. This place is a disaster. I’m not sure it can be salvaged, but I wish them the best.

We were drawn in by the graffiti on the building and I was craving tacos so we figured why not. When we entered it was empty and no one was around, after a minute a nice young lady came out and told us to pick a table. We were served complementary chips and salsa, the salsa was hot which was weird, but good. Something I didn’t like was we ordered horchata and in the menu it said it was 2.50. It was a pretty big cup, but then we were charged 3.50 because apparently she just gave us a larger cup without asking. I ordered three tacos; chicken, carne asada, and al pastor. My husband had the chicken quesadilla. All had generous portions of meat, but it was all overcooked and pretty low quality. The tortillas were fresh and really good though. They had a really small salsa bar with limes, old cilantro, and two types of salsa. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but there are definitely better tacos out there, so I don’t think I would go back.

The outside graffiti is what attracted us to this somewhat rundown place. We entered to a large room with colorful walls, paintings and a tiled floor. Nobody was there to greet us and we had every choice of a table. We took a moment to decide, but chose a large table and was welcomed by a young woman. The menu was basic; $ 1.50 tacos, more authentic Mexican choices, drinks($ 3.50 for horchata? That’s too much) and desserts. We decided on a few tacos each, beans and drinks for the both of us. Our food was brought out in good time, but wasn’t hot. The salsa bar had only 5 choices; limes, onions w cilantro, radishes, a red sauce and a green sauce. The drinks were HUGE, that is not an optical illusion in the pictures I posted. No music was playing, just a TV was on in the upper area. Our combined meals came to about $ 18, plus tip. The service was pleasant and timely. I won’t return, but it was ok for today’s lunch.

Food was good, we had the carne asada tacos and the soapa. The tacos had a lot of meat and the soapa was large and one was more than enough for one person. The bar where you get the toppings for the tacos was sketchy and the cilantro was dried out. They had ants on the floor. Overall, I’d recommend trying it at least one time. The graffiti outside is fun.

Without exception, the WORST mexican food we’ve ever been served. EVER. I’ve eaten at many a Taqueria,(lived in San Antonio TX for 12 years) and am not put off by dive-y looking places. Often they have awesome food. This is not a place like that. My huaraches was entirely inedible. I literally took two bites and was out. The chips were burned. All of the food had a strange taste to it. even the beans & rice, which we could not eat. All was terrible. DON’T DOIT. Do not go here.

This place is absolutely the most disgusting food I’ve ever had. Everything was either soggy or greasy and tasteless. There wasn’t an ounce of flavor in anything, the salsa was bland and the chips were burned. The carnitas were served with intestines in them, no warning. The tamales were a pile of mush. If I could give this restaurant zero stars it deserves it! The only redeeming quality was the sweet young gal that took our order. Don’t waste your time or money eating here.

This place was incredibly poor quality. You expect a hole in the wall experience and come out regretting the 8 dollars you spent on the quesadilla. The best thing was the jarrito drink. That comes in a bottle! My quesadilla was soggy on the bottom with dry chicken on the inside. I think there were small patches of cheese somewhere in it. It came served on a plate covered in aluminum foil. My dull knife helped dig into that scrumptious foil which added great taste to my meal. If you want excellent legit Mexican food, go to tamales tita which is right next door. Please don’t waste your time at Azteca!!!

I’m Mexican, born and raised in Mexico City. I love trying new Mexican places but this place is actual garbage. Got takeout from here about three months ago. The lengua tacos were disgusting. Haven’t decided if I want to give these guys another chance or not.

As a lover of mexican food, i was suprised by the quality of food and friendly service. The food was wonderfully satisfying, especially at such a low price. If you want to try something authentic and delicious, order the Molcajete bowl. The stone bowl is filled with meat seeped in flavor with orange slices, cactus, and mexican cheese with a sise of beans, rice and homemade tortillas.

I have driven by this building numerous times on the way home from various places. I believe the restaurant that it is right now was Grand Opened recently. The building from the outside is easy enough to ignore. The windows on the outside are small, so it’s hard to see what may be going on in there unless you pull over and check it out. I parked on the North side of the building and entered through the door on the East side. The East side door is not the main entrance. The main entrance is on the South side. Let’s talk about the menu and get to the food, this is a first time visit for me so i’m providing some extra description. The menu is simplistic like a In n Out menu. Meat, Meat, Meat and Menudo. The three adults that ate either had Carne Asada burritos or Carne Asads tacos. I personally ordered the Carne Asada burrito so I will share my personal experience. The day we went the restaurant was empty, we were able to choose our seat. The dining area was larger and I was surprised to see the spaciousness. As I mentioned before we entered through the side door(we also exited through the same door). Plenty of space in the dining room and the only thing I can remember was the flat panel TV that was playing spanish dubbed action movies. Let’s get back to the burrito. The food was delivered on a small oval plate and the burrito fully covered it. I’m thinking a larger plate could be used. I wasn’t sure what was going on inside the burrito because it was burrito’d(meaning wrapped up). I opened it up to find only the meat on the inside, nothing else. There is a salsa bar in the center of the room so I walked over to add my sauces and toppings. I’m generally a red sauce kind of guy, which is strange because I absolutely love Chili Verde. I loaded up with a generous amount of red sauce. Grabbed some of the cilantro/onion mix and headed back to my seat. I sampled a big bite of the burrito, marinated in the red sauce. BETRAYAL! This wasn’t regular hot sauce/salsa it was some type of «smoky,» flavored concoction. The other not so great part was I had a piece of chewy meat. You know the type that you get from time to time in a Beto’s burrito but you forgive it because it was only $ 5? Thankfully that was one of the only chewy mouthfuls I got. So the meat in general was good quality. I switched over to the green sauce and it tasted quite a bit better, in my opinion of course. My sister in-law said the red sauce tasted like a «chipotle,» style sauce she had tasted in Arizona. I don’t know what she was talking about but if you are from Arizona and are searching for that particular flavor check this place out. We ordered drinks and they forgot to bring them out. We finished eating and just skipped on the drinks, we weren’t charged. So here are my final thoughts(remember I didn’t try the Menudo). If you are going to serve the same menu as a Taco cart, be as fast as a taco cart. One thing I love about Taco carts is the speed the food is prepped(almost instant). The next thing, in those little cooler’s in front of the taco cart they have all the right flavors and toppings I want on my Tacos. Add one more sauce to the selection that isn’t the«smoky,» flavor and i’m game. If you have seen my Buffalo Wild Wings reviews, I think it is the sauce that keeps me going. This place is worth giving a try, if for nothing else to see what is inside that building you drive by all the time. If anybody tries the Menudo and it is delicious please shoot me a message and let me know. 2015 is going to be great!
