I have been going to Borics for the past couple of years, and barring just one instance, I have had a really good experience here. The hairstylists are very professional, and they try to make some good conversation with the customers. It has to be said that they charge $ 14 per haircut here, while most other West Lafayette hair stylists charge around $ 12. You can search online for coupons, and if you are lucky you might find a $ 3 or 20% off coupon. It would have been nice if they had a TV in there for customers to watch. Pros: shorter wait times, experienced hairstylists, clean and tidy place. Cons: slightly expensive, lack of entertainment options for customers ;-)

I got a good haircut at a reasonable cost after a reasonable wait at a VERY convenient location for me. Stylist was chatty, informative and experienced. First-timers can give their email address and will get a $ 5-off coupon for their next visit. While I was there, hair products were on sale 30−50% off.

I had such a bad experience here today, and left feeling like they don’t care about the customer at all. I went into the salon to get a shampoo(that’s all, nothing more). One of the three female hairstylists said, «It’ll be awhile.» and proceeded to finish the haircut of her client. She never told me how along I had to wait, so I sat there for 20 minutes. After finishing with her client, she packed up and left the salon. Another one of the hairstylists finally said(after 30 minutes of my waiting) that there would be another two people to finish up before she could get to my shampoo.(There was an unexpected person sitting at the side, who knew). They should let people know upfront how long the wait is, so we can decide whether it’s worthwhile or not. Bottom line: They’ll make you wait and they don’t care. They have poor communication skills at this location. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.
