I have seen Dr Lewis since she had her private practice in LO. She has always been warm, caring and professional and has worked with me to solve issues. She has been open to my speculations about my health and always willing to recommend a specialist if the need be. She and Carey made a wonderful health care team and I was very fortunate to have them. However, the clinic she has since moved to(Legacy Medical Group at Bridgeport) is not so great. I have lost a lot of the personalization because you just can’t get to her or Carey(although she is not her primary nurse now). When Dr. Lewis was on vacation, it was impossible to get through to the front office that you needed to see a doctor without them popping you back into the voicemail of the medical assistants where your message would sit most of the day. I still am so grateful to have Dr. Lewis, I just wish she had never given up her private practice :(

I had been a patient of Dr. Sue Lewis for nearly five years. I kept going because there is one thing I could count on her for, and that’s an open mind. If I came to her with an alternative therapy, she would frequently let me try it out. She may not know much about it, but trusted in my extensive research I conveyed to her. She is also willing to refer you to a specialist if needed. I find most doctors to be too conservative. Also, her assistant, Carey, was usually good about getting back to me, though don’t ever expect a call back from Dr. Lewis if you need to speak with her directly, though this is typical with most doctors unfortunately. This is where the positives end unfortunately. I have always been rushed in her office, by both physician and assistant, not being able to use the entire time I was scheduled for. One time the office manager, Janine, billed a 15 minute appt for 45, but she was unwilling to talk to me about it. Dr. Lewis told her assistant Carey, on several occasions, for me to only come in for routine visits from now on, and nothing too complicated. This was difficult to hear because I do not get to choose how complex my condition is… The last straw was my car accident. The office manager, Janine, was very unprofessional and rude to me when I was in the most amount of pain. Despite my giving her my claim #, adjustor’s name and phone #, auto insurance policy # etc… she told me I had to provide her with the billing address within 48 hours. 24 hours later, she left me a threatening voice mail saying she would send me to collections and bill me because she didn’t have the billing address. Why couldn’t she call herself if it was this time sensitive? I was in pain a few days post car accident, and had other things on my mind. I had never once had a late payment with them, not once all these years. Dr. Lewis chose to take her side and never heard my side. A very disheartening experience. I need a new primary but this experience has scarred me, so I am not anxious to try find another just yet, been burned too much, heart can’t take it. ***Please note, Dr. Lewis is no longer in Lake Oswego Medical & Dental where I use to see her, she has recently relocated nearby to Bridgeport Clinic, also in Lake Oswego but may have a Portland address.***

In my continuing saga to find the right physician, I went with a recommendation of a friend and found Sue Lewis. Dr. Lewis, is very no nonsense and she’s the one that sent me to a specialist and we, therefore, discovered that the infamous DVT was still alive and well. She is very matter of fact and will go the aggressive route to get the proper end results. Very good and pleasant to deal with. Her staff too. I would definitely recommend to other friends.
