Very cute park right next to the Willamette River. I take my dog for«chuck-it» numerous times, we love it here. A few days ago, I saw a family with snow saucers sliding down the hill(how creative). There are a few picnic spots, a lake, water fountain, baseball fields & play ground.

And so it begins… First day of school which also means the start of soccer season. At times it feels like I live at this park. It is the place where life happens in my world. This is a better than average park for a few reasons. There is a nice play structure, partially shaded, that is best suited for ages 4 — 8 and a water feature that is turned on during the summer months. In addition to soccer and baseball fields, this park gets bonus points for volleyball(grass and sand) and horseshoes. The best feature is that Willamette Park is where the Tualatin and Willamette rivers meet. So on many evenings you see fathers and sons fishing along the river and families picking wild blackberries in the summer. We regularly launch our canoes and kayaks from this park and head up toward Oregon City and the Willamette Falls. For the ‘more power’ crowd there is the Bernert Landing Boat Ramp. Many West Linn festivals and events are held at this park since there are several covered shelters, gazebos and a stage. West Linn’s Old Time Fair is here every summer, complete with carnival rides, a waterski show and lumberjack competition. Always a good time. Compared to many other parks in the suburbs, which were built in the last ten years, this one has an old fashioned and rambling feel that I really like.
