Management needs to get their act together. For the third time in as many months I’ve ordered food for delivery or pickup and rec’d food that was wrong. We ordered close to 100.00 in food when we rec’d it, the food was wrong. And they KNOWINGLY made it wrong. When you call, you get a girl who try’s to play it off, and asks you if you’d like to talk to «the manager.» And then has the nerve to openly tell you«we ran out of that.» Then how about calling the customer? And let the customer know, so they can change the order THEY’RE paying for? That hard? No, it’s not. This has the signs of a managers kid, or someone that clearly SHOULDNOT be managing, managing. And failing at it. We’ve been good customers for years. Might have to put them on ice for a while. Brian seems to be the only person here that clearly cares about the customers. Perhaps HIS management skills should be exemplified, by others.

The food is pretty good but the service is BEYONDAWFUL!!! I ordered for delivery and the guy was late, he pounded on my front door like he was on fire, then he had no change. He took my bill with the promise that he would return in 5 mins with my change. An hour passed and I called him. He told me that he would not be able to get back to my house because he was very busy and that I could have a store credit! UNBELIEVABLE!!! I told him that I didn’t want a store credit and that I wanted my change. So after another hour goes by I call Fortissimo’s and speak with the Manager. He proceeds to tell me that the driver will be back to my house eventually and that Id just have to wait and he hung up on me. So another hour and a half goes by and I call the Manager AGAIN. I tell him that I have things to do and that I can’t just sit home all day waiting for the driver to come back and that If he wasn’t at my house in the next hour that I’d be forced to call the West Orange Police Dept and file a complaint and that’s theft. He rudely told me that if I did that It would just take them longer to get to me. UNREAL!!! So finally after 3 – 4 hours the driver shows up and leaves my change on my doorstep. AFTERHETIPSHIMSELF!!! Holy Moly I have NEVER had such an awful experience with a restaurant. Too bad too because the food is usually pretty good. But you can best believe I will NEVEREVER order from that place again!!! Terrible horrible service!!!

The best restaurant in West Orange hands down. Very very good pizza. The crust is perfectly soft and flavorful. The chicken parmesan sandwich is great. Their bread is always fresh. They deliver and it’s usually fast and correct. I am a New Yorker and pizza lover and their pizza is great.

I’ve worked in restaurants for a bit over 5 years and I’ve never seen a situation handled like this. 1. I understand that delivery does take a while, and I was informed of the 45 min wait, which took a little over an hour. 2. After the food arrived we got what looked like someone used our pizza as a frisbee(the delivery guy apologized like crazy, so I don’t blame him). 3. Now here’s the kicker. I called the pizzeria and told them of my dilemma and asked if they would like for me to send them a photo of the pie. The girl on the phone declined, but put me on hold to find a solution. She apologized and asked if I would like a store credit for my next order, but to be honest the pizza was luke warm and didn’t look appetizing. I just told her that I would like a refund and request food elsewhere. After my 2nd time on hold so that she could talk to her manager they sent the driver back. I would have probably taken it into consideration if there was an offer of a new pie being sent to the address, but that didn’t happen. 4. Like i said, the driver came back and apologized, no hard feelings towards him. Things happen. 5. However, my sister called back to talk to a manager and spoke to a man by the name of Chris. From what I over heard he was dismissive, argumentative and non– accommodated. He told my sister that apparently her residence was out of their delivery zone(even though she’s ordered there 3 times within the last 2 weeks). After about 3 – 5 min on the phone he called back 5 minutes lated not to apologize, but to(what I believe) prove some sort of point. Long story first it was about the food, but once the driver apologized, it was down to the way the restaurant handled the ordeal. Poor customer service on Chris, the delivery manager’s part and it’s a shame… the reviews on here seem pretty good. Guess I’m getting Dominoes…

Ordered delivery for a couple of pies and some salad. Food was a little late but was decent. The crust was a good thickness, neither too thin or too thick and had plenty of toppings. Would order from here again.

Delicious pizza, eggplant parmigiana, and side of sautéed broccoli with garlic. Large portions and modest prices.

Looks great from the outside and inside. Plenty of suits during the weekdays but boy oh boy does the quality need to be worked on for a above average prices menu! $ 12 crab cakes made with Canned crab meat, everything else is average at best. Wife had the chicken cheese steak and loved it. Don’t forget to hit Mark & Julie’s two doors down for after meal ice cream!!!

This place is a hit or miss. I usually order delivery. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s ok, sometimes I regret not calling dominos. Tonight I ordered chicken francaise with linguine. $ 16.95! What I got was 2 small pieces of chicken breasts drowned in a thick yellow very lemony sauce — my son couldn’t even eat a 2nd bite :/and the linguine was soaked in red sauce. What the heck! I also got a tiny salad and a sliver of the vesuvius cake. I’m pretty sure it had to do with the coupon I mentioned. Ugh… I don’t mind paying good money for good food at all, but tonight — and really the last few orders — a huge disappointment :/

Just enjoyed one of my favorite lunch dishes at Fortissimo’s; Penne Arrabbiata. Excellently executed pasta dish by Fortissimo that has a nice bite to it. It’s loaded with flavors including chili, hot peppers, tomato, onion, garlic, and basil. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

I have only gotten delivery from Fortissimo, but it is worthy of 5 stars. The food ALWAYS gets here in 30 – 45 minutes, fresh and delicious. I have explored their entire menu(literally, the entire menu) and love everything I attempted. Their classic Italian dishes, healthy wraps, and ravioli d’aragosta are my favorite. I cannot say enough about both the food and service Fortissimo provides. It has quickly replaced all of my once-go-to Montclair Italian restaurants.

My mother tried calling inquiring about a coupon and they immediately put her on the busy line. I have been here awhile back and I have no real issues with the food, but you do not treat people that way. If you put your menu in the mailboxes advertising coupons, please do not ignore people that are trying to inquire about them.

When we’re in the area this a solid go-to Italian choice. Strip mall restaurants are the Rodney Dangerfields of cuisine, No respect! Fortissimo is a pizzeria with takeout on one side and comfortable eat in dining on the other. Everything we’ve had here was very good, not gourmet or fine dining caliber, but enjoyable, Italian comfort good. Other reviews have complained about pricing, but there’s no way they could complain about the portions which are guaranteed to require a doggy bag. All in all, Fortissimo is the kind of place that every neighborhood should have and judging by the full seated area, the locals agree.

Great pizza is not hard to find in this area. Fortissimo serves up excellent pizza and has very fast delivery. It is a tie for first for the best pizza in West Orange between Fortissimo and Franks. Their appetizers are great but way overpriced. The entrees are typical, quality italian fare that you would expect from a NJ pizza shop. I would give 4 stars if the pizza was hands down the best in town and 5 stars if their prices were a little better. Overall you get GREAT pizza, average everything else but pay a few dollars more than most other local joints.

There’s a reason I don’t eat here and don’t order from here. The parking situation is tough. The food isn’t particularly special or very good. The prices aren’t over the top, but they don’t match the quality of their food either. There are far better places for pizza. Their actual Italian food is mid-grade at best. A tip to those ordering a salad: Get your dressing on the side, unless you like wilted greens drowned in ½ a cup of oil/vinegar. The food/service and occasional parking frustration don’t warrant dining in, and with so many better places making better pizza, it really doesn’t warrant delivery. If I lived locally – within walking distance – it might be a decent place to grab a slice, but even then I’d consider other options.

I’ve been eating food from Fortissimo for over ten years and it is consistently very good. Both the takeout and restaurant service are excellent. While their pizza is average, their dinner entrees such as chicken marsala, gnocchi sorrentina and salads are very good. Their wait staff is always friendly and service is quick. They also have some healthy sandwiches on their takeout menu. A good neighborhood place.

Food: 3 Stars, Service: 1 Star = Average 2 Stars It sucks when bad service ruins a place for you. I came here for lunch today for the first time with a group of coworkers. We work in West Orange and are always looking for new places near by to try for lunch. Those who ordered pizza(garlic and herb slice and a sausage slice) really enjoyed it. The chicken parmesan sandwich and the gnocchi were okay. The girl at the pizza counter was very nice and helpful; however, our waiter was very rude. When he took our order, we assumed he was in a bad mood or hates his job until we noticed he was being more attentive to other tables. He never came by to check if we needed anything. When my coworker asked for a to-go container, he just kept walking and nodded yes. We didn’t even do anything to deserve this kind of disrespect unless you consider asking for a couple of minutes to look over the menu disrespectful. The food here would have been good enough for us to keep coming back for lunch and to spread the word to our large staff but we won’t be returning because of this ridiculous experience. It’s very important for owners to know who they have representing their restaurant.
