Holy yikes! This place is amazing! We were traveling through during the holidays from NY to PA and we’re lucky enough to find this place. Coming from the Miami area, we have a lot of restaurant options and compared to them this place has them BEAT! I believe that everyone from this area knows how great the food is that they don’t bother to Unilocal because everyone knows how great this place it. Several Guidos throughout the restaurant which is good enough for this Guido! Will stop on our way back through to Newark. i had the red snapper livornese and hubby had the veal soltamboca (sp?) we loved both of our meals! The bread is to die for. The full bar is a bonus :)

I can’t believe Primavera Trattoria hasn’t been rated yet. Tonight was my first visit but will surely not be my last. I came here with my friend for dinner and we were warmly greeted and seated at a table of our choice. Since we were in a slight time crunch, we opted not to get an appetizer and instead got down to business. I got the mixed seafood appetizer and asked if i could get it over broccoli rabbe. The server was so accommodating and didn’t bat an eye when I asked. My friend got a half order of the capellini and shrimp/​arugula which is a favorite of hers. Bread was pretty good (warm and fresh) but likely not homemade. Full bar is nice but I myself am a lover of BYO. Overall, I would recommend Primavera Trattoria to anyone who hasn’t tried it. Good food, good service, with warm albeit a bit dated ambiance. Worth your try.
