I had an incredible time the food was outstanding and our server with fake blonde hair was fun and disarming — I had a simple cheeseburger but it was outstanding

Decent beer selection. Wine selection just ok. The food was pretty good bar food. Sliders were actually cooked to temperature which was much appreciated. Nachos fully loaded. Service was very attentive. Ambiance was your standard pub type. Bathrooms were very clean. I will say this-didn’t appreciate being charged an extra dollar for something than the price listed on the menu. Not a fan of that. Parking was good since there is a lot across the street. Would return for some happy hour business but wouldn’t rush back. This place definitely has an edge over the eagens in Montclair in terms of the space, at least u don’t feel like ur crammed in a shoe box when you’re in here. In the area and want a drink? Go for it. Given the limited amount of beer bars in the area, this place will probably be a go to spot I’d imagine.

I just moved into the area and was looking for a good local bar to hang out at within walking distance. I stumbled upon this little gem Thoms. Food is good and the drinks are awesome. But what really makes this place great is the amazing staff! If you’re looking for a nice hangout bar without all the drama and headaches Thoms is your place!

Our group of 4 frequented Egan’s at this location on a monthly basis for the past 2 years. When the name and menu were changed, we were reticent to return, but decided to give it a shot this week. The waiter, a young man with pretend blond hair, was inattentive — never asked if anyone wanted water, never approached us during the meal to ask if everything was ok — and he had a sour expression on his face the whole time we were there. We arrived at 6:30pm and left around 9pm — prior to going that night, I had written to Thom’s Saloon on Facebook to ask if they would accept a 20% off Friends card from Egan & Son(we used to use it here each time we had dinner) and was assured it would be accepted. After our dinner the waiter informed me that the card would not be accepted and, furthermore, he said«it’s after 7pm» — I explained that we had arrived prior to 7pm and that’s what the card called for, but clearly the issue was a moot point with him. I will not be returning to this place, and neither will my 3 friends. Oh, did I mention the hamburgers tasted downright strange? Nobody finished their burger.

This place is decorated just like Egans in Montclair. Much much nicer than it used to be. There’s also live music or DJs on weekends and trivia on Tuesday nights. The food is great too, an inventive menu. The loaded fries, Mac and cheese and chicken pot pie are all amazing! The manager seems to really know what she’s doing. It’s similar to Egans but different enough to deserve a visit.

About two weeks ago I stopped in to see what changed with my local bar. Too my surprise staff didn’t but the décor So I ordered my usual siracha wings but wasn’t too pleased. Drinks were still great so my night wasn’t ruined. The manager on duty was so apologetic that I felt at home. She also spoke to the chef in the kitchen and assured me that the next time I’m there everything should be back to normal. So upon entering I immediately pulled a stool at the bar ordered my wings and a drink. The moment has arrived! It looks like it supposed, it smells like it supposed to and now it hit the spot congrats See u soon!
