Great place with hardworking people. Meat combo platter and Gyro were fantastic, full of flavor and seasonings and in a generous portion. Staff was helpful and friendly.

As to the lone bad review, I rated that«funny», not because they had an allegedly bad meal,(well, to each their own tastes) but because his main complaint was that it was NOT Greek/Arabic /Lebanese. Er, the owners are Lebanese, bud. I’m of a Syrian background, but what do I know? As to things not being fresh, not possible due to the amount of business they do and the constant turn over of volumes of food. As to the one plastic table in the teeny parking lot, it’s not a café. It’s a bakery/grocer. As to the run down appearance, I like that they put their efforts into the food and not swag. Plus, you should have seen the place a decade ago! This is the closest thing around these parts to the kind of mid-east markets my dad used to take me to around Boston when I was a kid. You don’t like it? Cool. There’s only 6 parking places. More for me :)

This place is just a little hole in the wall. I would have never stopped here if it weren’t for the great reviews on Unilocal when I was searching for Baklava for a dinner party. The Baklava is the best that I have ever had and the service was amazing!

Eddie came out and delivered while we had a show at the convention center. There was rain, major incident yet the man was a gentleman and so amazing! Not to mention the food was amazing! Thank you Eddie!

This place is absurdly good. The spicy chicken kebab is insanity, their beet salad is amazing, and the tabouli is killer. I’ve never been disappointed here. Also, the people who work and own it are just peachy. Super into this place, I highly recommend it

Great little place. Had the vegetarian platter so I could get a sample of all the salads and they did not disappoint. Next time I’ll go for the meat! I’m just happy knowing that there’s a genuine market like this around. If you’re stuck at jury duty or just looking for something quick and super tasty downtown don’t pass this up.

Reality is I don’t know why my fellow Unilocalers rated this plce 5 stars! I came to west Palm for the day with my wife and wanted to try something new and different… Other than the same«restaurants»!! Well, I was big time Disappointed… The place, I don’t mind that it is a small minimarket… Could use some cleaning… No tables other than a plastic table outside in the parking lot. Main concern… It is not a Greek joint OR an Arab /Lebanese joint! So, food all in all way below average… Nothing fresh… The falafel, horrible and they took it out of an oven in an aluminum tray… Who knows how long it sat there… The shawarma, also nothing too fresh… They also recommended the Curry chicken sandwich… Awful! Just took one bite… The babaganoush? Threw it away! Just one plate was good… The tsatsiki… This was good… Other than that, this place made me lose one lunch! Sorry!!!

This is my go to place for all my middle east cravings. Best place for all your middle east and Mediterranean food needs anywhere in Palm Beach. I have been coming here for 20 plus years and they never disappoint me with their multitude of spices and foods from the region. Management and owners are friendly and always their to answer your questions. Would not only highly recommend this place but wouldn’t go any where else for my fix of middle east flavors.

This is my favorite lunch place. Best roast beef sandwiches. But the real deal is the hummus and homemade on premises pita bread. I could eat here everyday. Only downside is you must take out as no seating … But you can go to intercostal or picnic tables at the government center.

I work close by. I eat here 4 times a week. The 5th day I bring lunch. Lol. Food is FRESH! I’ve been coming here since the 90’s. Try the fattoush with feta cheese. Omg! Also the gyros. Greek salads. The pita is made fresh daily. I can go on and on. Seriously. Do yourself a favor. Go! P. S. It’s take out only but you can walk to the Intracoastal and eat with a view of Palm Beach. Not a bad lunch hour!

I had been craving falafel all weekend long, I finally made it here after reading all of those wonderful reviews. I was very pleasantly surprised because if you go by the looks of this place you may miss out on a whole lot of goodness. Service was as good as the food. Found a new favorite.

Super friendly owners and delicious fresh food. Middle eastern always offers flavor but this one beats them all with the quality of ingredients. We’ve hit many middle eastern joints in Miami in recent weeks and this one beats them all. We’ll be back !!

I found myself downtown today around lunchtime, and decided to give this place a try after all the stellar reviews. Its walking distance from the government center buildings. I was not disappointed. Its hole-in-the-wall, as so many hidden secrets are. Yet I still can’t believe I hadn’t been here before having been downtown numerous times. Read their daily specials on a dry erase board sitting outside, walked in and ordered a meat combo. Food was ready very quickly. Didn’t see anywhere to sit other than one occupied table outside so I took it to go and ate in my car. Everything was absolutely delicious. A hefty portion of different yummy flavored meats came with a stuffed grape leaf, a large amount of hummus, salad, and 2 white pitas. Definitely filled my appetite and then some. Delicious food, reasonably priced, very quick and pleasant service; can’t go wrong with a place like this.

Here is another 5 stars to add to this already 5 star Unilocal average review! If it wasn’t for the Unilocal mobile app, I would never have found this hole in the wall, so thanks again, Unilocal! From the outside, this place doesn’t look appealing, but like other reviewers have mentioned, it sure is a hidden gem, so don’t judge a book by its cover! Fresh tasting food and great service. In addition, they also have lots of deli food, lots of eclectic spices, and olives galore!!! If you like middle eastern food, this place is a must try! Mmm mmm mmm!

Super delicious, not the absolute best value for your money maybe, but totally tasty and not overly expensive. Note go about a half block west of where your GPS says it should be. See my picture to find it best.

Places like this are why I love Unilocal.Unless you are a local or were given the info as a scoop you’d probably never find or have heard of heard of this place. When our lunch plans with friends canceled at the last minute I pulled out my iPhone, fired up Unilocal to search for a unique lunch option in the area. After reading the reviews my mouth was watering and our GPS was quickly reset for this tasty gem. As other reviewers noted this is a little hole in the wall and very nondescript from the outside. They have a small parking lot and near the front door to the right is an arbor and patio table for communal eating. Check out the sign outside the front door for the daily specials and then enter the building to step into another world. To the left is the counter with prepared foods and a prep area where you can order. To the right is a mini shuk — middle Eastern market. You’ll find white buckets of all of those spices and spice blends and other ingredients from lands far away. You’ll also find a cooler with beverages. There were way too many options. Based on the Unilocal reviews hubby and I ordered the platters the hot platters he had the meet kebab well I ordered the chicken in the yellow garlic sauce. The platter included the meat and generous portions of hummus and salad along with pita(plain or whole wheat). Simply and stunningly delicious. We ate outside of communal table. Most people either took their orders to go or ate in their cars. What I really wanted to do was grab a spoon and take nibbles of everything in the case and coming out of the prep kitchen. What a delicious find. Thank you Unilocalers for helping us find this incredible spot.

Middle East Bakery is one of those places that really looks like a dump from the outside, but don’t let appearances fool you. This place is excellent and has the best falafel in town. I used to work around here so I came here every day for lunch. The options are plentiful and fresh. I used to get a falafel wrap and it’s something I still dream about to this day! Their other offerings are tasty as well. The platters are large and taste fresh. Middle East Bakery also serves as a grocery store, so there are a lot of other options beyond the counter if you’re interested in purchasing anything. The service was always friendly. Definitely a great hole in the wall spot in WPB.
