I contacted Brian Garber, the owner, on Nov 13 for an office luncheon for 26 people on Nov 24 for Thanksgiving. He SEEMED very genuine and verbally told me all he had to offer. He was even willing to accommodate the one vegan employee we had with recipes he is given. Over the next 10 days, I begged in writing, voice mail, email and text to PLEASECONFIRMINWRITING that we would be getting our order. All I asked for was a quick email confirming all was in order and he would deliver on Nov 24. He ignored this and all further correspondence. PLEASENOTE– HEJUSTHADTOSAY ‘OKAY’ TOMYEMAIL but he never did. When his voice mail was not accepting new messages on Nov 20, I was in panic mode. Today, Nov 23 he told us he did not want to work with a customer who wanted something in writing and did not want to waste his time responding to emails/voice mails.(Obviously, typing«okay» takes up too much of his time on an email???). I WASSODISAPPOINTEDINBRIAN’S LACKOFCONSIDERATIONFOR A GROUPLUNCHEON. HECOULDHAVETOLDUSLASTWEEKHEWOULDNOTFULFILLTHEORDERRATHERTHANONTHESAMEDAY. PS. in addition to his very reasonable prices(if it is too good to be true, it probably is not true), he charges $ 125 per hour for his time in preparing the food!!! Found this out today, the day of his expected delivery. In 2015 it is unheard of to deal with anyone without something in writing as there were no misunderstandings. The fact that Brian decided to punish me because I had the intelligence to ask for something in writing, even a quick email just confirming he would fulfill our verbal agreement, is bizarre. I can only hope that fate intervenes. Please note, the address for Palm Beach Express is now: 522 W Lantana Road, Lantana, FL33462. They have a website with the name Palm Beach Express Catering. The food is good, but their customer service is the worst in the business. Go elsewhere and find someone who values your business.
