Pizza D’roma

I ordered a large cheese calzone over the phone. I tried to have chicken added to it but they refused, saying «it wouldn’t turn out right.» I’ve never had a pizza place refuse to add chicken to a calzone before.
I arrived at the store on time to pick up the calzone but it wasn’t ready yet. They told me «it will be ready in a few minutes.» I ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes for my order. I finally pay and head home (I live literally three minutes away) only to find that the calzone is completely cold and uncooked on the inside. I’m not talking about ‘cooked and cooled off on the ride home’. I’m talking about unmelted cheese and LOTS of raw dough on the inside. They had obviously forgotten about my order and didn’t even bother to start it until I had arrived to pick it up. Their attempt to speed-​cook a calzone left it looking nice on the outside, but completely raw on the inside.
Paying via credit card raised all kinds of ‘credit card scam’ red flags for me. I handed the cashier my card, she swiped it through the machine, handed it back and said I could leave. She was surprised and a little upset when I asked for the receipt. The receipt she gave me was the one with space for a tip and a signature. I can think of exactly ZERO legal reasons why she didn’t want to give me my receipt, but lots of illegal reasons.

As I speak Italian, it really irks me that this place misspells its own name, it should be Pizza Di Roma. I suppose that any real Italian would not eat here anyway, as it is a very mediocre restaurant, with a feeble attempt to make pizza… they just don’t try.
I guess it won’t kill you, especially if you are just looking to fuel-​up. That’s it! I now know what it reminds me of… a filling station.

Love the pizza at this restaurant, pizza crust is just right, it didn’t take long for us to get our pizza, kind of wish this was closer to me so I can come here more often

Solid pizza, crispy crust, quality cheese. Tough finding decent pizza down here, PDR is best around. 2 mediums, 1 topping, $ 19 out the door, just ask.

I like the pizza. The staff seems to keep changing and with that the atmosphere. I walk in for lunch eat my food and enjoy the place. nothing fancy just good old fashion pizzeria

Great food, great employees their like family to me! I’ve been going here for years I definitely do not have a bad thing to say about pizza de Roma!

Gave them many chances, but the pizza is always undercooked or burned (overcooked). Their staff is very rude, arrogant can’t-be-bothered attitude. They stay glued to watching the reality shows on the tv instead of paying attention to food quality and customer service. Dirty place too. Sad state of affairs. No more chances from me.

I’d be coming here to pizza de Roma for the past five years I’ve never had a problem with their food all of their food taste amazing the pizza is delicious my favorite entrée is the chicken franchise and the chicken I’ll bonanza sub. Also it has great atmosphere clean area clean restroom and the people here treat me like family

Watch out for roaches. Ordered spaghetti and meat balls one day. While I sat inside while they made the food I saw one roach on the wall, and one in the counter. That’s when I cancelled my order and left. Ran by two young guts I think.

Just awful. We decided to get some take out and my wife wanted to give Pizza De Roma another try. I was skeptical, but it was convenient. I got spaghetti though, to avoid the burnt pizza crust.
So guess what… burned garlic rolls! I mean BLACK! I uploaded a picture this time.
Also, the meatballs were obviously heated in the microwave. Like rubber and tasteless.
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!

Pizza is OK, but you must eat it when fresh and hot, or the crust quickly turns to stiff rubber. I’ve never been to Rome, but assume this is typical style for the area, or cut a star off.
Also, the service is as described below, and I had trouble parking to pick up a pizza one afternoon, seems all the delivery people would park somewhere else.

Pizza not that great

It was my first time trying this place and did so accompanied and under the suggestion of my friend who lives nearby their pizzeria.
For $ 5 I was able to enjoy a decent slice of pepperoni pizza topped with onions and bell peppers and a Snapple! Perhaps could have done without as much toppings on one slice (but that is not a major issue). My friend ordered a medium cheese pizza and it was delicious (enjoyed that a wee bit more than mine actually).
You know the pizza is good when you can’t wait to have another slice when you get home, which I did ;)

One of the worst pizza’s I’ve ever had. Ordered a medium pie with mushrooms and olives to be delivered. It arrived in a timely manner and the delivery man was very pleasant.
The pie looked overcooked and generally unappetizing; overly flat and lifeless almost as though it had been lying around for a good while. When I attemped to break it into slices it was almost as if it was made of rubber: tough and unyeilding.
The consistency was extremely chewey with little flavor, and there was preciouse little tomato sauce detectable. The thin layer of cheese appeared well over-​cooked also. Altogether a real disaster of a pizza.
I returned the pie to the store shortly afterwards and was greeted by a very professional young lady who, however, refused to refund my $ 13.30 for said pie; instead offering me either store credit or to cook me a new one.
Why would I want either?

Walk up counter pizza. Great pizza, good chicken franchase. Nice local place.
