Love Rita’s ice! Their gelati is amazing as well as their cherry ice. Kennedy was serving us and she was really nice and had a fun personality. We will definitely be returning to this location.

I saw this chain while I was in Clearwater… every vacation MUST include ice cream, every day for that matter! We have Culvers in the Chicago area, so I wasn’t going to have that while visiting Florida. I visited CityPlace to kill some time before heading to the airport, and on my way back to the car I thought I’d get some ice cream. I passed a gelato place which was dead, and a tad intimidating to walk in, and this place was near my car. I stopped in, and also checked in on Unilocal, only to find $ 1.00 off my order! Score! That app comes in handy and surprises me all the time! I settled for pistachio custard in a cone, with rainbow sprinkles… it was so good, I could have had two! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the mood for custard or italian ice… everything looks super yummy in here! You won’t regret it!!!

Yumballs. Craved some Italian ice, and was pleased to see they offered both Italian ice and custard(you can blend the two as well). Got the pear, banana, and sugar free cherry. The cherry had delish cherry chunks but melted quickly. The pear was DELISH, but the banana was a bit unmemorable. Gotta go back to try more.

This custard taste so good. It’s thick and creamy. I’m just scared to know the fat and calories lol. I got it on a cheat day plus I shared but it was so delicious.

Walking in city place and found this little gem. The Italian ice is wonderful, I got Swedish fish, which is a unique flavor. Its not just italian ice they also have milkshakes, blendins, cream ice, gelati, custard and even sugar free italian ice. They have many seasonal flavors to choose from ranging from pink starburst, mango, lemon, cherry, Swedish fish and many more. The staff is really nice and they let you try different flavors. It comes about 3.00 each for a small(which is kind of like a medium) so that’s a reasonable price. I had 8 people with me and the total was about 25.00

If you don’t try Rita’s at least once I’m going to punch you in the face. Not physically, of course, but in spirit I will be punching your face. Punching it right through your computer or phone screen. I’m really not a violent man. I see it as a service– I’m doing you a favor. Your face was too pretty anyway. On the other hand, I’m probably ruining your life. Threatening you with a fake beating if you don’t try this stuff is like peer pressuring you to smoke a crack pipe. The good news is Rita’s is cheaper than crack and the folks who sell it to you won’t demand sexual favors or stab you(I’m assuming?). Simultaneously sweet, tart, fruity, creamy, icy, smooth, rich and refreshing… the frozen custard and Italian ice combos are quite literally the perfect food item to savor on a blistering hot day. Or a cool day. Or a day when you’re sad. Or during the night. If I lived closer I would throw up my hands in exasperation at the slightest disturbance and shout«That’s it! I’ve had it! If you need me I’ll be down at Rita’s! Gahd!» Toilet clogged? Rita’s. Slight nasal congestion? Rita’s. Wife humped your business partner? Go to Rita’s. I tried the Watermelon and custard and the peach and custard. It’s like a decadent grown up creamsicle in a cup. I finished the first and made my wife go in and buy the second so I wouldn’t look depraved. Then I attacked the second and smacked my wife’s hand away when she reached for a small taste. Yes, I’m ashamed and yes, I’d smack that hand again and again and again if given the chance. Rita’s will make you do terrible things like selfish hand smacking and digital face punching. You’ll be sorry you’re not sorry.

Delicious! Tried the coffee and vanilla custard with smores ice. The regular size is more than enough, but the large is doable: P

I have been a Rita’s fan for years in PA and was so glad to stumble across one her in FL. Their ice is addictive. I have 2 to-go quarts in my freezer at home right now. They allow samples. Their vanilla soft serve is fantastic as well, extra creamy. Trying to park just plain sucks. Plan on walking over when you are done with a movie.

Went to Ritas after dinner at Cheesecake Factory. What an amazing desert ! My 2 kids ordered a Gelati with s’mores ice flavor and vanilla custard. It was amazing .They put the vanilla custard on bottom and then scoop the s’mores ice on top. Then they add more custard on top. The ice had pieces of chocolate chips in it. I had a mango gelati which was spot on !

If you want to get your sweet on, try this place. It’s away from the main area of Cityplace, but you’ll be glad you made the walk. It’s even a better reason to burn off those calories afterwards. Frozen custards, milkshakes, Italian ice, sundaes, cream ice. OY! I tried the pineapple and sugar free mango peach cream ice and it was so good.

Italian ice is delish! Rita’s lives up to that. I tried the wild berry flavor and it was yum! Highly recommend and very affordable.

I never heard of frozen custard in my life! It’s delish! I always thought Rita’s was all about frozen ice or shaved ice type dessert. You can have frozen custard sundae’s, frozen custard, milk shakes, cream ice, Italian Ice. Trust me, there is something for everyone. I had the the frozen custard sundae with the waffle cone in a cup. It was so good! You can pick from about 6 flavors and there are a couple light flavors for those watching the sugar. They also have about 10 toppings that you can choose as well as syrups. I give in three stars because of their customer service. Their service very poor and my poor sundae looked like a disaster, luckily it tastes good. I couldn’t even put a top on my ice cream that was for take out and the employee didn’t seem to care that he was about to hand over an ice cream with a top that didn’t fit and ice cream leaking over. Sigh… I will be back, but there are a few other ice cream shops in City Place that I will visit before I go back to Rita’s.

Custard with this babe is alot of fun! It keeps her quiet and gives me time to admire her Polish and Cuban beauty.

Surprised that I’m the first person to review Rita’s. If you’re looking for an italian ice on steroids, look no further. Watch the calories, though — these snacks are surprisingly high in calories and sugar.

Great place! Really good frozen custard too! Definitely worth the walk away from the main food area of CityPlace.
