Ok. I love Indian food. I have it a whole lot in NYC and in London, and all around the wide world. Here were served pretty tasty if a bit bland dishes– very light on the salt. But we did request«not spicy» though. All in all we were pleased(if not thrilled) with the saag paneer, the curry chicken, the tandoori chicken, which was delicious, and the cauliflower appetizer — also very good. Prices, I felt, were a bit on the higher side for what it was. My friend ordered a hard liquor from the bar, but apparently was served something else, twice in a dirty glass. Ok. People don’t usually order drinks there. Forgiven. What was really lacking, was the awkward service. In a completely empty Restsurant, water was oddly not there when you needed it,(and there when you didn’t), the check took ages to arrive, and they started vacuuming the floor while we were still sitting at the table(!) … If you wouldn’t do this while your guest in your house is still seated on your couch– please don’t do it while there are still customers dining at your restaurant.

Love the tikka masala, Korma and naan bread. The samosas are amazing too. I just wish parking was easier.

Great food but bad service. Been here twice and both times, two different waiters were rude with attitude.

Lunch buffet was beyond anything that I could imagine or prep myself for! So my colleagues and I were working from a remote location and we said we’d have lunch here the next time we were in the area. That time arrived this week and if I can speak frankly, the game has changed for me! I’ve had Indian food before and thought it okay, a good change. Saffron changed all that for me. The uniqueness and authenticity of the flavors, the diversity of the buffet options literally have my GPS defaulting to Saffron for lunch in WPB. While everything was delicious the Goat Masala and the Eggplant Curry were phenomenal. I could eat the goat masala all day and be completely satisfied. The décor inside is appealing and enhances the experience completely. The lunch buffet is $ 11.95! You cannot beat that for the quality and uniqueness of the food. I highly recommend and state confidently that you will enjoy Saffron if you enjoy authentic Indian cuisine!

Terrible experience!!! We went for the lunch Buffett on a Saturday. Perhaps had the rudest waitress possible. A large Indian woman. We had to practically beg for water. When we asked for more naan bread it was cold and hard. She attempted to bring us tea the table behind us ordered. When we asked what is was, her reply was it is what you ordered!!! She then almost started to argue with us as we tried to explain we did not order the tea! Quite strange and rude! People like that need not be in the service industry… To top of of experience my Mom and I both got sick after eating the tiki masala or the curried goat!!! No thanks! Never going back! I would obviously give a zero if it was an option!

Been here two yrs and have eaten at several Indian restaurants. My wife is Indian, from Delhi and knows and cooks Indian food, so knows what is good and what is not. This was not so good. Started with the Saffron mixed grill and that was ok but the seekh kebabs were very bland. Then ordered Chicken Biryani and lamb vindaloo(curry) and Dal(black lentils). The Biryani was ok but the other dishes, again, very bland. The worst part of the meal was the service. The restaurant was not half full and yet it took over 45 min to get our food out after ordering. I’ve had better food and much better service at other establishments. Would not choose to go here again.

Avoid the lunch buffet. The food has no flavor and no spice. I have eaten here for dinner and it’s not great either but if u order extra spicy it will be a little better. For some reason it’s not typical indian food. I cook at home and it’s better.

I’ve gone four times, and each time I’ve had a different experience-all for buffet(lunch) First things first, never go on a weekday, their food quality is not the same, nor are their items. Im from up North were the indian food is amazing, and this is the best I’ve been to in the state. Having said that, they have the worst service possible, the workers are rude, and they closed the Buffet at 2pm exactly, and turned off the music while we were there. I will go here again, simply because their food is the best with what we have in the area, but I will never go on a weekday again. Also– best bollywood selection for music I’ve ever heard.

Typical Indian restaurant for Americans. Americans will love the food. Not for India people who are looking for spicy food or dum Biryani. The taste is more like sweet n spicy. The buffet is not at all worth.

Having just moved to the area a couple months ago, my husband and I have been actively seeking out restaurants that compare to our old faves back home in Utah. At first I wasn’t convinced that Saffron would be that good for some arbitrary reason, but I have to be honest — I was pleasantly surprised! The menu was extensive, the restaurant atmosphere was nice, and the customer service good. Can’t remember what we ordered other than garlic naan, but it was all really delicious. The reason why I’m dinging a star off is because the wait time was unexpectedly long between ordering and being served our food. Not sure why, as there didn’t seem to be too many people ahead of us. Also, there was a really loud party at the table next to us who had no sensors when they spoke… but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. Will be going back!

I went to Saffron for the lunch buffet and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a very good selection of food for the price they are offering for the buffet. They had things like Chicken Tandoori(my favorite) and Goat Vindaloo and several different curries. They also had an assortment of vegetable dishes. The naan bread was fresh and really good. The ambiance is really nice. It’s not something you would expect in a strip mall. If you want to try a number of different dishes for a good price, I recommend the buffet.

I took my wife to Saffron for Valentine’s Day. She has some Indian heritage and loved the food. I liked it a lot also, although some of it was a bit spicy for me. The waiter was courteous and efficient. I was happy that our food came out from the chef rather quickly after we ordered. There was a cool belly dancer that my wife and I both enjoyed watching. The ethnic music added to the romantic ambiance. A great place for a Valentine’s date. We will definitely return to Saffron. The owners run a similar restaurant in Miami, and we plan to visit that one too.

I absolutely love this place! They have a great assortment in the lunch buffet. The food does NOT taste like microwaved out of a box food. The quality of food is superb. The ambiance is quiet yet elegant. The staff is very attentive. The only con I have about this place is the dessert options in the buffet. You only have one option and the several times that Ive been to this place, it’s never been appetizing. But overrall, I would say this IS the BEST Indian restaurant in the Palm Bch area!!!

We looked at the menu for an hour before ordering. I call and say id like delivery and he said I can only order it ONLINE then hung up. Yeah ok buddy. Didn’t order anything from a place that has poor customer service. That was about a month ago

We’ve been to Saffron several times over the years. The ambiance can’t be beat — the décor is defies all the strip mall chic expectations one harbors living here in VacationLand. Delicate and exotic drapers float over the booth seating, elaborate chafing dishes line the buffet wall, Indian music infuses the dining area with a spiritual calm. Five stars +. However, there ends the high praise, for the rest is just OK when compared to other Indian places around the county. Aloo gobi is my go-to dish for passing judgement(along with sidekick naan). The dish is solid here, but won’t knock your socks off, the the naan also wasn’t anything terribly special. The service is… weird. I’ve never felt particularly welcomed at Saffron. Quite the opposite, in fact, I’ve often felt as if I were seriously putting the staff/owners out by ordering food and during the meal I’ve more than once received a raised eyebrow. While I realize JP’s use of hair product can be unorthodox, this has made more than one meal a bit unsettling. Who knows… maybe they mistook him for Mark-Paul Gosselaar and were just working up the courage to ask for an autograph? Yes, that’s probably what happened. In my ideal world, Saffron and Indus would join forces: Saffron in charge of decorating, Indus in charge of cuisine.

Went in for buffet. The price is good. $ 10.95 per person. The décor is nice and the food selection at the buffet was good. Food was good, but not something that I would rave as being the best. The food temp was warm, but sometimes that happens with buffets. No dal at buffet. And it was unclear whether we could order a la carte. Service was awkward. We weren’t really spoken to or asked anything other than for drink order. It was dead silent in there too. It wasn’t bad. I’m not too sure about this place. I would say I will try another place before giving this place another try. Maybe it was an off day.

We ate dinner here last night. We were looking forward to the lunch buffet but missed it by a couple of hours but dinner was still fabulous. The set up and décor of the restaurant is beautiful and well-designed. The first smell that you get a whiff of are the herbs that are in this cute décor plate behind you but also a welcoming incense all over the restaurant. It really makes you feel like you just entered into a whole new world. When you are outside the place, they have a beautiful entrance door inside and out, and a large window display of decors that draw your eyes in. The ladies room entrance hallway has beautifully painted walls and décor. Despite using cheap toilet paper and paper towels to dry hands, the décor and beautiful table with glass sink made up for that. The sink drain didn’t match the glass sink as a whole but I didn’t really care much, I was more fascinated by the color paints used on the walls and the glass sink. So pretty! The floors, bath cells, trash bin, and sink area were kept clean. They have India music playing in the background throughout the whole restaurant which makes sense after all it is an Indian cuisine. There isn’t a required/strict dress attire for this place so jeans are acceptable. We had a male waiter that served the four of us was who started and continued to be very patient, honest about what we should order since we wanted to try almost everything on the appetizer menu, and friendly. For drinks we started out with sweet lassi(I always save mine for dessert but ended up getting a second later, it was so delicious!), and hot chai tea(recommended to try). They serve salted lassi(but feels like you’re eating a spoonful of salt) and tea cold as well. We started out with the Saffron Tandoori Special($ 25.95); seekh kabab, chicken tikka, chicken tikka masala, shrimp vindaloo, lambchop masala. I couldn’t have shrimp due to my shellfish allergy but everything smelled very delicious. My mouth was watering before I could take a bite out of the lamb chop. When served the appetizer was very well arranged and appealing to the eyes. For soup, we tried the Mulligatawany soup. We ordered a basket of each; garlic and onion naan. Delicious! The smell of the garlic and onion on the bread is very profound and so delicious to the taste buds. The waiter was excellent at making eye contact to each and every one of us, making us feel that we and our food needs were all equally important, when helping us decide on orders where we would all enjoy it together and being punctual to each and every one of our preferences to the food we wanted individually as well. We used the naan for our meal entrees which were; chicken curry(medium), Vegetable biryani(medium), chicken korma(mild), murg saag(mild), and palak paneer(mild). We ordered so many things to share with the table. Be cautious that the majority of their dishes are served hot(temperature and spice-wise) so be careful munching on your food or else expect a burnt tongue. I had a bite of each of the mild dishes and couldn’t continue to eat them because their ‘mild’ spice is considered too spicy for my taste buds. The cup of yogurt brought to the table is also a bit spicy so the only thing that I was able to find to soften the spicy burn to my mouth and lips was sipping my lassi(that’s why I had a second one ordered). Cold water and my chai tea did not help lessen any of the spices. My dish was the vegetable biryani but was still super spicy to my taste buds. I had about seven bites and I had to take a break from eating. We had little room for dessert and shared a type of rice pudding which I can’t remember the name but it is not on the menu. It was actually suggested by our waiter to try. When we tried it, I didn’t favor very much but the other guests at our table enjoyed it so nothing was wasted. We did have a few boxes to bring our leftover meals home. When we received our tab, we were a bit disappointed. They didn’t mess up our tab amount but we had planned to tip our waiter well but due to the added 18% gratuity tip for a party of 4 we didn’t leave a tip. We also do not know if that gratuity tip really goes to the waiter or just to the restaurant. There is a menu online that can be easily accessible to view directions and the hours of operation for the restaurant. Also, it has a list(PDF format too) of almost every entrée and dish that the restaurant serves, as well as the prices but sometimes online menus are not updated as quickly as we expect it should be to match the menus in the restaurant. But it will at least give you an idea of what to get and how much you will be paying for your meal(s); .
