I’m always early, for everything, so catching a flight is clearly no exception, so naturally I had well over an hour before I even had to be at my gate for boarding. Perfect time to grab a nice leisurely breakfast. As I was walking past Sam Sneads Tavern, I was happy to see that they were open and I was happy because I was starving. The restaurant was really empty, maybe three other tables, so I was surprised that the service was very slow. After sitting for about five minutes my server gave me a menu but I had to ask twice for a glass of water. I was in no rush, but I did get a bit aggravated. The menu is small and no substitutions are allowed. I ordered pancakes and tried to get a short stack or even a kids meal. No will do. I wound up ordering the pancakes with a side of bacon which I requested to be extra crispy. The bacon was very good! The pancakes were okay but they were the size of my head! I could barely eat one of them. The warm maple syrup was a nice touch. I don’t remember the price, but I think my bill came to about eight dollars. They serve lunch and dinner during breakfast, so if you want a heavy meal, they will make it for you. Although the menu is small, I felt like there was something for everyone. They have a full bar but they are limited on the alcohol, I think they just have the basics, so don’t expect a fruity drink with an umbrella here. Great place to kill time or come with children because they have a 8 hole putting green, pool table and also a foosball table. The morning I was here I watched two little boys play golf and they were having a blast. I would only return if I was in the airport with extra time to spare. My breakfast was OK and the prices were reasonable but the service was just not good.

Had to get to airport early for flight. Mistake. Restaurant choices here are lame. So we go to SamSnead’s Tavern. Service was ridiculous. Hardly anyone in restaurant. Server should not be waiting tables. He obviously hates it I order the Chefs special which was Salmon with hoisin sauce and asparagus. Waiter presents it «the kitchen is out of asparagus. Is rice ok? «. Did not let me know in advance so I could make a choice and change my order. He brings out entrees and never removed salad plates. This is not fast casual prices. We dropped $ 100 for salmon $ 22 grouper$ 24 and wine $ 46. Really Sam Snead!!! Maybe some training, quality human resources and culinary work would help. Obviously — I do not recommend.

Too slow for the food quality. Go off the Airport for wood food and reasonable service. My burger was ok…

The only good thing I can say about this place is that our server made sure we ordered. The food was less than desirable I in good consciences could not force my son to eat the rubberey pancake that I was unable to cut with a knife. My omelette lacked cheese and sat in my stomach like a brick. This restaurant only has a limited menu, if you have time before heading to the airport stop somewhere else.

Service was horrible and extremely slow. You would think in an airport that they would be a little more concerned about this. Food average at best and way too expensive for what you got. In airports always remember that if you don’t see flight crews present then there is usually a reason.

Expensive but fun place. Drinks expensive and pool was very expensive. Might return here but unsure

At best, the food is mediocre. Of course, one must remember it is located at an airport(does one expect good food at a restaurant)?! On to the coffee. Ugh! I do believe it came out of a carafe that ol’ Sam used back in his day and it’s never been washed. Awful! Did I mention that the coffee is AWFUL. In case not, telling you now, THECOFFEEISAWFUL! Had pancakes and eggs. Interesting that bacon or sausage is not offered with that combination. The eggs seemed to have been made from that powdered stuff. The pancakes. Well. They were just okay. The waitress, Lindsay, was awesome. Friendly, but not too. Knows her menu and listens intently. GREATSERVICE. The three star rating is based on service; not the food or the AWFUL coffee.

We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. I had to chase down the ‘supervisor’ to request our food which was mediocre. I think any reviewers that give this place 5 stars are either off their meds or they work there.

Took our time and got to the airport early. Had an excellent meal for our family of four. Food was fresh and well prepared.

I got a below average patty melt that took forever to deliver. Very poor service. The waiter said that we were there on a busy night. I’ve been in busy restaurants… this wasn’t one of them. I only ate here because I had some time before my flight out of PBI. There are other restaurants in PBI; try one of those before you eat here.

Not flexible. Charged full price for a salad less the chicken. Ran out of ingredients(cilantro) for one of their signature drinks at 2:30 in the afternoon. Vegetarian unfriendly. Server not accommodating. Like he was being inconvenienced with any non standard request.

It’s often hard to get a great experience at an airport restaurant. Sam Snead’s gives you a good experience, but it’s very limited in the drinks it has available and the food is just okay. This is a shame because it’s not even behind security. It could be so much better.

Due to the limited pre-security food options at PBI, I settled on this restaurant for a pre-departure lunch, as an aviation fan I was drawn by the nice casual ambiance with great views of the PBI runways and gate areas in the distance. Unfortuneatly the nice ambiance is the only aspect that kept me from rating this restaurant 1 star. The two biggest issues here are poor service and poor food quality, essentially a near total failure for any restaurant. It appears as if the staff either really dislikes their jobs or just simply have no training whatsover in customer service, or possibly both. The food and beverages were served on dirty plasticware, every plate on our table had food stains, lets just leave it at that. As expected, the food quality was not any better especially considering the hefty prices, I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and was greeted with a luke-warm(nearly cold) sandwich piled with cole slaw and an oily and flavorless fried onion ring. I guess this is to be expected from an airport restaurant but I would have expected at least more of an effort considering the branding of the restaurant, the location, and the fact that there was barely anyone dining there. I guess the monopolistic nature of this restaurant(the only sit down restaurant at PBI) has led it to what it is, an embarrasment to what otherwise is a very nice and quaint airport.

Worst service. Wait, I would’ve had to actually receive service at all to make a judgement on the quality of the service. A friend and I were sat and we were ignored for 10 minutes, no one spoke to us or even got us a glass of water. I got up to ask a server for help and she dismissed my request. We got up and left. I’m from Philly, so I’m gonna go ahead and trash this place Philly style. No respect from these pricks so my recommendation, show them your middle finger as you walk down the hall to the Irish restaurant instead.

Had breakfast here due to canceled flight. Relaxed open area with putting green, foose ball and billiard table. Had 2 pancakes and eggs platter. Came with no meat. Companion ordered scrambled egg Platter which was the equivalent to 4 eggs 2 bacon 2 sausage, home fries and 2 slices toast. Same price. My pancakes tasted microwaved. Service was fine. I would not recommend pancakes but certainly good value to scrambled egg platter

Nice looking place, friendly service and standard american pub fare. I always go for the kid’s meals since they’re more than generous. Great onion rings. I’ve heard the quicken quesadillas are awesome.

If it weren’t in an airport I’d only give it 3 stars, but considering the usually rancid fare at most airports this isn’t too bad. It’s in the unsecured area between the two terminals so it’s very quiet, and there’s a putting green to waste some time if your flight’s late(like mine was). Got the burger and fries. Nothing special but not too bad. Service so-so but again, we’re in an airport, right?

Pub /restaurant. I’m not sure what connection golfer Sam Snead has with this place bearing his name located in the airport in West Palm, but there it is, complete with little putting green and all. I got to the airport a little early as I was eager to get home and also exceedingly hungry and in need of food. I got there just at that time where it was getting too late for breakfast and it was just a little too early for lunch so I had to bite the bullet and pick one — so I went with a burger and a soda. The menu was pretty extensive for a place in an airport and I was pleasantly surprised by the surroundings and the service. The place was generally empty while I was there and everyone working was nice — just the right amount of service. Got my food and it was a pretty decent burger– I figured I’d be flying and wouldn’t eat for a while so I could justify the calories. Prices were decent and I finished up, went through security and was on my way home. I would definitely hit it again.

Best breakfast at the airport since they closed the Cinnabon. The restaurant the rest of the day may be nifty or not. I’ve never tried it. For breakfast it’s serviceable and sit down, two winners over Burger King and the Pizza joint inside the terminal. The breakfast seems to be out of one of those toaster oven things. The eggs and the potatoes have that pre-made, push-reheat kind of thing about them. The Irish pub used to open for breakfast, but they don’t either. In all, it would be third choice but by closures it moves up to number one. The worst part is that Sneads has no need to worry about making it better, since they’re the only game in town at Palm Beach International airport for a sit-down breakfast.
