Sushi King

I thought the shrimp tempura roll was great and so was the dumplings. HOWEVER, I went here on a friday night and I felt very rushed. If you want to go home at an earlier time, change your hours of operation. I would go back again though to give them another chance because the food was good.

Awesome! First time and not disappointed one bit! Had the Florida Gator roll and clear soup, both delicious.
Will definitely return.

This is my favorite sushi place in town. It is the only place that has quail eggs in the area and the rest of the rolls are delicious and fresh. Service is always quick and friendly. I brought my mom here and she was super impressed too, so it’s not just me.

The food is good, I mostly go because it’s fast and closest to me. But the young man there is beyond rude and the place smells like a sewer sometimes.

Been eating here for years… the sushi is always fresh… and they are a really nice hard working family… and when me and my family walk in they always going out of there way to accommodate us in anyway… the food is very consistent. …And the prices are perfect… the kitchen items are always great… give it a try

Adorable restaurant with nice staff. Service can sometimes be a little quicker, but sushi is fresh and good. Wide range of rolls to chose from. LOVE the sesame balls!!!

I can’t understand why this place has such bad reviews. This is by FAAAAAAAAAR my favorite sushi place of all times. I used to come here twice a week but unfortunately we moved and I just can’t find a better place than this between west palm and Fort Lauderdale… Yes the service could be friendlier I guess but I really don’t care as long as my food is good ;) And they’re never rude, I just think it’s their culture to be a little more reserved. This is the only place where cooked sushi is really thoroughly cooked, any other place I’ve tried so far it’s always half raw… I love this place. The crab rangoons are addictive…

We ate here last night, (14÷05÷15) The sushi was not good. The selection was very limited. The service was slow & ineffectual with only 4 tables in use. The sushi bar was empty, yet SLOW. We ordered Sushi & Kitchen cooked items. The kitchen food came first. The BIG issue was after I informed the server of my food allergy, I still got sick. I know an allergic reaction when I have one. I was a victim of cross contamination .
Do not eat here.

My husband and I have been here a couple of times and every time it’s something but today put the icing on the cake. The restaurant had a couple of tables busy which is unusual. In a little down time the server had, he decided to catch up on his manicure and cuts his nails close where we were eating. Totally grossed us out and had to stop eating. Tried to talk to the manager which was the server’s dad, he spoke No English. Not a Good experience will not be returning at All!!!

First off service was completely slow and rude, the service was selective. The party next to us received their food quicker then when we were initially asked for our drink orders. When the soup finally came it had a hair in it. The only time the waiter spoke to us was when the check came. The only reason I gave them a star was because the food was great and I didn’t think I could score this place less.

The food here is always consistently good but that isn’t all there is. The one star is because the service is always horrendous! I’ve been going here for years and it just gets worse! There is one particular young man in there that has got to be the most unpleasant human being that I’ve ever encountered. I finally had enough of his nasty attitude and got up and walked out the last time we went. Won’t be going back. There are much better options elsewhere. Skip this one!

I’ve been visiting this place on and off for a few years, and quite regularly the last two months. I only order take out, as I don’t love the smell of the place. Their sushi is pretty solid, which is what has always brought me back. In all my years visiting this place, the staff has never been polite to me, but I always just chalked it up to the culture in that restaurant. Until today.
I typically order the Maki Combo for 14.95. It comes with a spicy tuna roll, salmon maki, and a california roll. I don’t like california rolls, so I always request they switch it with a different similarly priced roll, like eel avocado. They tell me it costs a dollar more. I’ve questioned the $ 1 charge when I get a roll that costs the same price as the california roll. They say it’s always a $ 1 surcharge. I very recently substituted for a veggie roll, and they said «$ 1 extra.» I was a little livid because I was asking for a CHEAPER roll, and I still had to pay the $ 1 surcharge. I relented and paid the surcharge. But today, I go in for my usual maki combo with eel avocado substituted for the california roll. I’m told by a particularly unpleasant young man, who I’ve seen around but he’s never taken my order before, its $ 2 more. I point out «it was just $ 1 more two days ago.» He goes «oh, that person gave you a discount. It’s $ 2 more.» I said I come here 3 times a week and its always $ 1 more, no one has ever said it was $ 2 surcharge. He responds «well that’s the price.»
Still in disbelief, I say «OK.» But then after a minute of contemplating how I have consistently been a patron of theirs for YEARS, and have brought other people to dine with me here, the fact that they could easily risk my business by changing the price for solely me at their whim, let me know they don’t care for my patronage.

Sushi King was a solid choice for some good sushi. We had the volcano roll (OK, lots of mayo), a spicy tuna (not very spicy), shrimp and avocado, and an eel roll (best of the bunch!). We also had a big order of edamame, which was good. The service was OK. We took a little while to decide what we wanted at first and were ignored for a bit. After ordering, staff was very attentive. Overall a good choice!

Ordered the Kani salad thinking it would be similar to the Krab salad I get at my usual sushi spot — it was dry compared to most but good. Shirley Temple roll was delicious and the sunshine roll which had mango was interesting but sort of blan. Drinks prices are good and we would return. Definitely better spots in the area but worth a stop in.

Great food. Very consistent quality. Why two stars? Poor customer service! Very disappointing.

Not a place I’d take a date, but definitely good for lunch with a friend. It’s not a great location for business I imagine, since its tucked away a little, but try it out!

Not bad. The waitress was friendly to me (slightly concerned after reading the other reviews). The sushi was good, but nothing that amazing. I had a crunch roll and a Philly roll. The location is convenient for me so if I get a last minute craving, I would return.

You don’t get what you pay for I spent $ 24 on two rolls, 13 pieces of plain sushi, not the specialty sushi rolls. Waste of money, they don’t greet you, they have no personality and not inviting. Don’t bother!!!
