Best place to ride inside in WPB ! Instructors are amazing. Bring lots of water and beware these classes are addicting. Chris and Mark both are arguably the best instructors I’ve had in my life. They bring amazing talent, insight and facts about cycling, and hard core motivation to the one hour class. Sometimes if you’re lucky they run a little over that hour. They love what they do and it shows.

I have visited Velocity 2 years in a row while on holiday for 3 classes total. I can recommend this studio with a couple disclaimers… Pros: — Chris(the owner) is as authentic a rider as they come, as his only mode of transportation IS a bike. He is a great instructor, connector(remembers people’s names & personal details) and has a vested interest in your successful outcome. Chris teaches a great class, takes you on a journey & gets you a great workout. –The music was GREAT. Loud, motivational & that is a big part of the class for me. –Administrative ease of signing up for classes on line & management of wait list etc. was on point. I got a phone call to inform me I got off the wait list and into a class. Easy. –They sell water. Hallelujia! –Passionate members. Clearly there is a loyal following there and robust attendance, which speaks well to the program. Cons: — I am not aware of any cycle certification that would advocate for spinning at such a rapid cadence(155RPM??) in a standing(semi-hovered) position anytime. Anywhere.(Disclaimer: I am certified in Cycle and this felt super unsafe & harmful. I just took things at my own pace during class.) Knees. Ow. Knees, people. Add more resistance and drop your RPM out of the saddle to 70 – 85 and you’ll be good to go. –There are a mix of really old, old and less old bikes in there so try the bike immediately once you sit on it, as I got a dud the first time around where the resistance went from 0 – 20 with a ¼ turn. –Parking: I went on a weekend so street parking was not an issue at all but it could be during busier times of the day. Again, kudos to Chris and his team for bringing Cycle to WPB! You’ve got a lot of fit folks in there and bringing a fitness experience to people and making it enjoyable is what it’s all about. Ride on…

I found Velocity on google; I took a class with a friend from church and she and I LOVED it! The instructor is Chris, I describe he as the«Mad Hatter of Spin»! He’s nutty… in a good way and an expert cyclist. I assumed he’s competed in tours b/c, he makes a lot of references abut Europe, from a cyclist perspective. I’ll be back!

The other reviewers have summed it up — this place has great instructors, and is a great experience. My first time I went, Chris as well as the instructor came up and helped me get set up on the bike and explained what to do each time. They also briefly explained what to expect during the class. As a newbie I had no issues and took things at my own pace! Now I will say the equipment, at my first glance, seemed like it could use some refurbishing or repainting(it’s well used, I should say). But don’t let that turn you off… it’s works perfectly fine, and if you interact with the staff you’ll see how thorough they are, and how dedicated they are to everyone having a good workout.

Well, I just couldn’t stand the thought of going an entire week, while on vacation without attending a spin class, since I’ve gotten hooked on them at my local gym here in Massachusetts. I googled and found Velocity in West Palm, just a couple of miles from our hotel. What can I say, Chris Fix is amazing. His class had me always looking forward to the next thing we were doing. He’s sort of like a cycling machine with a head. It’s obvious he is passionate about what he does, he made me feel welcome & I had a really great workout. It was not only challenging but enjoyable too-he’s got a way of engaging everyone in the class – and we are not talking about a small class, either. It’s quite a gift. I came back a couple of days later & took a class with Cathy. She is also an amazing athlete. However, her style of motivating didn’t fit for me. I prefer positive imagery over the military-style scolding & yelling that some trainers employ. I suppose it works for some. Don’t get me wrong, I still got an awesome workout. I would have enjoyed it more if she had given us a few seconds to grab a drink or just recover a bit before each challenge. I felt like I’d accomplished something just by surviving her class. ;) I was so tempted to return the next day for Chris’ class but I knew my hubby wanted to get an early start heading down to the Keys, so I didn’t. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in the area, though. Fantastic facility & staff, friendly, welcoming environment.

Awesome workout! Velocity is a gem for spin enthusiasts and beginners too! Their staff is helpful in making sure you feel welcome no matter what level/prior experience you may have. Guaranteed you will burn calories and leave their class dripping with sweat and a burst of energy.

This is a beautiful studio with a great atmosphere and an awesome community! I’ve been to two classes so far, with no previous cycling experience, and loved them both. It’s definitely not for the weak-minded, but the instructors welcome all skill levels and help you every step of the way to feel comfortable and to get the best workout possible for you. I will definitely be going back. Just be sure to call ahead or reserve a space online beforehand, this is becoming a hot spot, and seats(«saddles») go fast.(I got on the waiting list for my second class and was able to get in with plenty of notice, so that’s a good option, too.) ;)
