Just as Nice

I’ve been here once, shopped for an hour, tried on dresses and had fabulous service! The dress was great, the owner was extremely helpful, and the other women in the store acted like it was a fabulous party (which made for a fun environment to go dress shopping). The accessories are cute, the dresses are cute, the shoes are cute. Loved shopping here, and I window shop here all the time, because…
IT’S NEVER OPEN! The hours only go to 6 on weekdays (not open on Mondays, which was very unfun on MLK when I needed to go shopping), which means that it’s closed by the time my train pulls in to Forrest Hills after my hour long commute home from Cambridge. Saturday has decent hours, but Sunday it’s only open for 4 hours!
Not to mention, when I specifically left work early (forgoing my lunch hour to get there in time to shop) to reach JaN, there was a lovely sign on the door that said «ON VACATION, BE BACK ²⁄₆!» Um, WHAT? There’s NO MENTION of this (or any of their hours) on the website, and I intentionally checked in advance before I left work.
While the clothes are great, do be sure to call ahead to confirm hours, because otherwise you’ll be stuck like me, in the rain, window shopping, when you have a wedding to attend this weekend and were counting on finding fabulous clothes at this lovely boutique. Now, I have to spend additional time going to Macy’s to find a dress.
UPDATE: Just called the store and learned that they were closed the entire month of January, and reopening ²⁄₆. Unbelievable. They need a new web designer, web presence, web whatever to communicate this information!

Super friendly service. Great unique pieces in wide array of sizes. Super cute accessories. My friend and I loved it. And I even got a cute black dress. Nice!

Beautiful clothes gently worn. Jewelry by Chico’s. Not your average consignment shop. Only problem is West Roxbury’s lack of on street parking.
