Called customer service to see if they had a certain product. Very cheerful and helpful associate. She called the department. The gentleman that answered was so friendly and nice. Said he would go and check how many they had but I said as long as they had some I would come and check them out. Very nice customer service!

My mind is boggled after reading the other reviews for the simple fact that the bathrooms in this place are disgusting. There’s always some kind of bodily fluid in and on the toilets. There is always trash all over the floor. I’ve watched the employees walk in and out like it doesn’t look like someone shit all over the floor. Someone did. Now that I got that off my chest, I can’t figure out how this KMart stays open. The store is always basically empty. Always. The store itself is pretty big and the racks are usually orderly for the most part. The prices here are generally higher than they are at Target, and Target cleans their bathrooms. Some employee is getting jipped on their pay for that reason. I can almost guarantee it. The merchandise is mostly crap. We grew up calling it KMapart and for good reason. But that’s Kmarts throughout, not just this one. The garden section is small and when the nursery is open most of the plants are half dead. The customer service lingers between really crappy and was almost good until they wouldn’t stop asking me to open a store rewards card. No means no, man. I don’t want to save a dollar for every thousand dollars I spend here. I avoid this store as much as possible and wouldn’t be sad if they replaced it with something nicer. Anything, really. Maybe something that would draw customers and create jobs since I think only 6 people work here. A girl can dream…

I hadn’t been to a K-Mart since I was about 6 with my grandmother and the highlight of my day was getting a brain freezing icee… Since J & I have discovered– Got to B Glued– water resistant hair gel, my frequency might change. You could poke an eye out with that stuff once it settles in. It’s pretty severe. Even the most frizziest of hair will not move an inch. If you’re not in the mood to maneuver in and out of the Target or Wal Mart lots, drop in here. The parking lot is huge and pretty much vacant. I don’t know that I would shop here on the regular just because there are places closer to me, but it’s decent for a few items here and there. It all depends on what you’re looking for. –Bathrooms were pretty clean on my visit. Jenny A must have ventured in when they were filthy. I’m very particular about public bathrooms, so I must have lucked out after they cleaned them! –Staff friendly –Store was presentable and uncluttered. As for the ghetto and trashy feel that other’s have referenced– seriously? It’s W. St. Paul… venture out and experience a real«ghetto» area which even then is subjective.

So Kmart. I feel like this is the bottom rung on the ladder of department stores. It’s more ghetto and trashy than Walmart. But, you know, it’s ok. Kmart ain’t trying to be anything more than that. Kmart seems like it’s made it’s peace. They aren’t trying to catch up by expanding and having a ‘super center’ or super anything. Really, super nothing. It’s just kinda there. I think it this place was a 24⁄7 store, I would have to get a job here. Because the folks that wander into Kmart already kind of look like the 3am crowd at Walmart. I want to see Kmart at 3am. I know, saying such things is crazy-talk, but I want to see what walks through the doors. It’d be like a zombie invasion of those ’meth makeover’ posters. I have liked the people that work here when I venture in though. Nice folks. Seemingly well-adjusted.

Completely all standards of a department stores are dropped upon entering a Kmart. Its suddenly A-OK for a lack of employees. Now, I don’t mind if the floors aren’t sparkly clean. The employees are a little bit more personal(which is unmeasurable by any statistic), the video games are stellar, and well… I’ve always liked supporting the underdog.

I dig K-Mart, I don’t care what any 6th grader has to say about it. Everything is organized and clean and NOONE ever goes there which means I can buy up all the shasta my little heart desires. This parking lot scared the crap out of me. The little concrete barriers kind of popped up at me and I felt like I was pacman while driving around them. No pills or techno music though.
