I’ve bought two bikes from the shop now. A hybrid and a mountain bike. I knew what I wanted out of the bikes when I was going to get them but wasn’t sure which bikes would be able to fulfill my riding needs, so I asked the people there. Both times the employees were extremely helpful and definitely have proven to know their bikes. My hybrid(a cannondale cx quick) is fantastic on the road and minor trails. I’ve even ridden it at glacier ridge trails and it handled them way better than I could have expected for a hybrid. My mountain bike(a used Raleigh) I got for fantastic price! I let them know what I was looking to do with the bike and my budget, and within a week they had a great bike well within my budget at their store ready for me to buy. I strongly recommend Sayville bike works. The employees are friendly and very knowledgeable and they have a great selection of bikes.

They always go out of their way for whatever we need. We won’t go to any other bike shop. The owner is always knowledgeable and that makes a big difference.

The store is messy and overwhelming and the staff is rude. After bringing a bike into the shop I was turned away because they said they had too high of a backlog. Someone else I know said she brought a bike there and was charged 40 to change a tube in one tire. Avoid!

I called up and asked about bringing my bike in for a new tire and tune-up. The owner told me there was a backlog so I would have to leave it for a time. This was fine with me so I drove over. When I got there, an employee told me he couldn’t fix it and I’d have to wait a ‘long’ time. I was kind of pissed and I told him I don’t mind a week or maybe two but if he’s talking three months — that stinks. He said he would ask the owner; maybe he could do it now. He asked and he did. The whole tune-up took maybe 15 minutes. With a new tire, the cost was $ 30. I gave the kid $ 40 and told him to keep the change. Despite the little snafu(and the owner’s somewhat annoying ‘tude), the employee’s service was quick and easy. And my bike rides great again!
