We were in the neighborhood, and wanted some dessert. We happened to be driving past this location and stopped. They’re mated to a chocolate shop, and share the same door but have separate registers, so this is a review for just the ice cream side. It’s just as good as the other location we visited — they have frozen custard, as well as a plethora of their own hard ice cream flavors. We both opted for just simple twist cones this visit, and they were delicious and satisfying. The thing I like about this location is that it’s more of an ice cream parlor feel, vs a custard stand. There are plenty of places to sit and have a pleasant conversation. I’d definitely come back in again!

I just loved this place. I am not a dessert fan but I have become a fan of their butterscotch icecream. I dint like their sundae though. This place is reasonable for the portion of icecream they serve.

Loved Antoinette’s! Nick Charlap’s is not quite the same however it is also not too bad. The candy situation appears to me to be the same. Ice cream as well except for the lack of cinnamon sauce — this is the ONLY place that I know of that offers cinnamon ice cream. Real whipped cream. Fresh toppings. What else can I say? It is a confectionery cafeteria that offers up a really good product. I will most likely return and the odds of this happening will be increased with the re-addition of cinnamon sauce. The one thing I must note is that this place smells of the real ice cream shops of my youth. Wonderful!

I was visiting from Torrance California looking for Antoinette’s and couldn’t find it until a friendly police officer told me that the name changed and directed me to it. My daughter and I were a little hesitant to try this unfamiliar ice cream parlor, but were so glad we did! We ordered a black raspberry soda using black raspberry ice cream and black raspberry syrup. It was the best ice cream experience I’ve had in 67 years! I used to live in Buffalo near Fillmore and Sycamore as a kid growing up on the original Antoinette’s. I’ve always been a big fan and I still love their orange chocolate, but I now consider Nick Charlap’s as the best ice cream on planet earth! I live in Southern California and people here consider Wonder bread a real delicacy, and I believe that the ability of what is truly good tasting has been lost over the years by many people. I wouldn’t have commented on this If it wasn’t for the ignorant reviews that some tasteless losers have posted. All I can say is just go eat your Wonder bread and let the rest of us enjoy the unbelievable ice cream experience at Nick’s. By the way, the girls behind the counter were very considerate by splitting our one soda into two glasses, which Antoinette’s did not(we did find and tried the same soda at Antoinette’s and we found the service was just OK but the ice cream was not as good to my surprise). Thank You, Genadi and Blakeley P.

Stopped by around 7:45 during our summer heatwave. I was last here when they were in the middle of the transition between Antoinette’s and Nick Charlap’s and it was iffy(ice cream taste and size of portions), but decided to try again. The look on the inside is pretty much the same as it was before and it looks like the menu is pretty similar with a large selection of sundaes and hard ice cream along with custard. I went with a small cone of a special limited flavor of Snickerdoodle. Taste was much improved over my disappointment with them previously. Had a great authentic cinnamon flavor and some cookie crumbs mixed in. As a Snickerdoodle lover and baker, I was impressed! Cake cone was fresh. The size of the portion was also a lot better, though it was still 2.99 w/tax for a small cone. It would be pricey for a family to come in here and subsequently, the prices for sundaes and more add up fast. The girls on staff were very friendly and accommodating to a party of senior citizens out for a treat that were just getting their items as I came in. After one gentleman saw the delicious whipped cream on his friend’s sundae, he asked if he could have some as well. He tried to pay the additional fee, but the girl said to not even worry about it. Cute tip jars challenging who were better tippers: chocolate or vanilla lovers :)

I was a little apprehensive about trying this new ownership of «Antoinette’s» thinking they had some pretty big shoes to fill but was pleasantly surprised. We stopped for dessert on a 60 degree March evening; getting ready for Spring, you know, so their mostly ice cream menu was ok with us. I had the hot fudge brownie sunday with vanilla custard, as opposed to hard ice cream, and plenty of real whipped cream. Wonderful! My cousin had a turtle sunday that she really enjoyed. There were still some chocolate items available, but not like in the past. I would have given it 5 stars except for the service. It was very busy, probably because of the weather, and we all waited patiently in line, but the 2 young women working were not very pleasant. Closing time was a half hour away and customers just kept coming in. They would only serve our sundaes in plastic take-out cups because they didn’t want to use the glass containers any more(tacky) and as it got closer to closing, they only served cones, no sundaes. I somehow think the owners would not like this if they knew…

The problem here is that it has«Char» and«Lap» in the title, but has neither char-grilled food, nor any kind of lap dancing. So they’re not giving me much to work with. I thought this was a food place so I went there to try something and it was dessert only. I tried their ice cream and it was average. The parking lot is also a little difficult to get in and out of. Plus the only reason I was in the area was because I had to go to West Seneca Court to pay a large ticket. I’m sick of the authorities and how their sole priority is money making from traffic offences. Anyway, not much more to say on this one.
