I love coming here for Seafood. I always get the snow crab with crazy mix medium! The service is great and my food came out quick.

Terrible. We were seated immediately, waited forever for someone to notice us, never got refills or even crab crackers until we got up from our table and found someone to ask for them. My boyfriend specifically stated he wanted ONE pound of Crab and the server(a short Hispanic girl who’s name I never was told) didn’t say anything but apparently you can at least only order two pounds of it. Which again as I stated, she did not tell us or correct us on when we ordered, nor was it on the menu. Service was terrible, crab was overcooked, shrimp was good, and we paid $ 30 for a small crab with little meat that didn’t so much as satisfy my boyfriends hunger. It was ‘two pounds’ of shell and overcooked meat. Never going here again.

Terrible. The host was rude. After we were seated we sat in our seats for a good 15 minute. No one even offered us a beverage. We were passed by three different servers before a server finally asked us if we’d been helped, which we obviously had not been, the confused server then turned and asked the host about who was serving us and he just shrugged. At this point we were done. We left and probably will never come back.

This mine and my boyfriends go to spot. Utah doesn’t have a lot of cool seafood places to go to, so this place is great and a lot of fun. I always get the snow crab, Cajun flavor with a side of rice and I’ll drizzle the Cajun sauce over the rice. A must try!

This is by far my favorite place to eat in the state. I usually don’t even get the crawfish. I go with the snow crab in lemon pepper and a Cajun shrimp basket. With bread and white rice. Sometimes I’ll get a bag of shrimp in spicy Cajun sauce. Always with a beer on the side. The prices are reasonable especially for seafood. I usually spend about 30 a person here but I’m a big water and drinker. If you plan on coming here with a date, you better know her well. Because you’re going to get messy. If you like seafood. Come here. It’s the best in town.

My husband and I were looking for something different for dinner. This place delivered! I got snow crab with mild Cajun sauce… perfect! My husband got fried shrimp with Cajun fries. And only $ 35 with drinks! Will be returning as often as possible. Fantastic!

I love some spicy crawfish! The shrimp is great also! Price is not bad at all. I don’t recommend ordering the crawfish and taking it home address all the juices run out and are left in the bag.

While the food remains the same. The service the last time was undesirable. Obviously this changes everytime but when you ask for the check and immediately after she asks«so you want the check?»… This human should not work anywhere and should be replaced by a robot.

This is my go to spot when I am in Salt Lake. I live in Vegas so we have plenty of crawfish boil spots to satisfy that craving of sodium and spice. I have never had any complaints with Bucket but this time it was just mediocre. First, they didnt have crawfish, which is why we decided to come here anyways. But that didnt stop us from changing our minds. I always order the everything mix spice. This time the flavor was lacking something. not sure what it was. it might be garlic because my hands didnt stench of that smell after lol. we didnt order the wings this time which i regret because i like the jalepeno sauce it comes to dip with. and the wings are nice and meaty!

I came here with a group of people who wanted to have sea food. I personally don’t do sea food, however, I do chicken wings. The wings were ok, a little over breaded for my taste but they were good otherwise. The fries however were soooo good! Yeeeaaah! They also have this green sauce that they make in-house which was the bomb! I would come again for sure for the fries and that green sauce they have, and give the wings another shot. Customer service was great! Really attentive, and very helpful and kind! Which you can’t beat that on a Sunday lunch with friends and family.

It was fun to eat food that gets dumped out on the table in front of you. Too bad I got here too late in the season for crawfish. I had the shrimp bucket which was delish. Medium spicy was my level today. Might try got next time.

This place is totally worth all the mess and hassle because it is just that delicious. You will be seated on a table cover with a plastic bag and be given a bib. You will be eating with you hands and things may get super messy with all the juice and everything flying out. I would totally recommend not wearing anything white and also not to bring anyone you are trying to impress. You order your food by lbs and they come in a plastic bag and a bucket. The bucket is to throw all the shells and what’s not in there that you won’t eat. My favorite is the shrimp and snow crabs. I would always get crazy mix for my sauce and hot spicy level. The hot spicy level gives it the kick it needs, but if you want more of a hard core punch to the face and gut I would say go for crazy hot. I would always get a side of bread or rice to put the sauce in because it is just that good. The calamari is totally recommended, but so be careful it comes with fried habanero pepper. The dipping green sauce it comes with is delicious. All in all I would totally recommend this place esp with the great seafood they serve and the price isn’t that bad for good food.

The moment that this place decided to sit children at the bar where there is alcohol being served, I decided to just leave. I let them know that it was illegal and they could lose their liquor license, but I don’t think they cared. Earlier, when I asked the waiter what he recommended, he said«not the crawfish for sure». … This place is CALLED bucket o crawfish!!! He gave me a sample and SHOCKER. He was right. There was literally no meat in the crawfish. It took about 10 – 15 minutes just to get the attention of the bartender/server. I ordered snow crab legs, which were good, but I left without finishing my meal due to the illegal practices in seating at the bar. I didn’t sit at a bar to be surrounded by 5YEAROLDS! I’m super upset and will definitely not come back again. Oh and by the way, I waited SO long for my check, that I almost just left. I never leave bad reviews. But this place kind of blew my mind as far as bad service goes. I’ll just go eat somewhere else.

For a land that is far far away from the sea, this place serves good seafood. You just have to know what to expect. You wear plastic bibs and eat with your bare hands, on a plastic-covered table. Things get messy with sauces splatter everywhere. In short, this place brings out the Neanderthal in you. Definitely NOT a place to impress with elegant dinner etiquette in your red-carpet-worthy ensemble. You come here for the food. My favorite is the Snow Crab and the Clams, which they serve in pounds in a bag. I always ask if the Crawfish are big before I order that. I was told before that they fly the Crawfish directly from New Orleans. Probably that is what making the seafood here taste so fresh. Then you have to choose the sauces. These savory sauces is what separates this place with other similar restaurants. Seriously. The fifth flowing rivers in heaven should be made with their Crazy Mix sauce. Another tip, order the bread as sides. The bread is warm fresh from the oven, and in between those seafood munch, dip the bread in the seafood sauce and devour enlightenment. It’s pure culinary nirvana, right there. If you feel less adventurous, they do have fried seafood and calamari baskets as well, which are just as delicious. Good for sharing around the table. This place is always packed but I never have problem getting tables. It is as if the restaurant can magically expands at will. The service is always spot on. Friendly and attentive. I will be back. Many more times.

An experience like no other! This seafood restaurant has a Southern/Cajun vibe with a Westcoast spin to it. You’re walking into an a cloud of great smells once you enter the building. It’s usually packed during most restaurants’ busy hours, but that’s obviously telling you that people can’t seem to get enough! The style of food is so different from anything I’ve seen within Utah. The closest competitors the restaurant has are Joe’s Crab Shack(not even close) and KTV Crawfish(no comparison). It’s a family owned business that has the owners constantly coming into the restaurant to make sure all the customers are satisfied. The staff is great! The servers really know their stuff! If you’ve never eaten crawfish before, don’t be afraid to ask them for a step-by-step tutorial. For an appetizer, I start off with the Cajun Wings, and they are absolutely incredible paired with their homemade Jalapeño sauce. Next I move onto the main entrée which is the seafood sold by the pound. The average person generally eats a pound to themselves, but if you’re a bit of a baby dinosaur like me, you’ll start with two pounds. I am a huge fan of all of their options including: shrimp, clams, mussels, snow crab, dungeness crab, and crawfish. My personal favorites would be the shrimp and snow crab. The seafood comes prepared in a plastic bag holding the seafood all drenched in their magnificent sauce. Don’t let the sauce go to waste! Order some bread to soak it all up! Their sauce choices consist of: Cajun, Garlic Butter, Lemon Pepper, or Crazy Mix(All three sauces combined). You can then decide on your level of spice: Mild, Medium, Hot, or Crazy Hot. It’s a great time and the food is always delicious. It’s messy, but that’s what the plastic tablecloths and bibs are for!

Love me some seafood at this place! This place never disappoints when it comes to my seafood cravings. When we come here it’s an order of 2 lbs crawfish, pound of clams, one whole crab, and some wings! And yes, we usually finish it all! The sauce here is delicious! The crazy mix is our favorite and we dip everything in it. The staff is also awesome. There really isn’t anything negative to say about this place. Now that it’s spring/summer time, the crawfish is in season and will be huge! Come try this place!

Falling in love all over again. This time, the spread included: Wings — Jalapeño sauce is phenomenal, perfect texture and Cajun seasoning(Option of 6 or 10) Clams — Lemon pepper/hot, yum! Clams are actually full and big. Snow Crab — Garlic butter/hot, the meat is so fresh! Shrimp — Crazy mix/hot, also cooked for the perfect amount of time not too soft or overcooked Rice There wasn’t anything I didn’t like, so 5 stars it stays! Of course I had crazy mix/crazy hot sauce on the side for dipping along with the lemon, pepper, and salt sauce. Tip: If the hot isn’t hot enough for you, ask for the crazy hot extract. They’ll bring it out in a little cup and you can add in your own preferred sauce from your own bags of seafood to the cup. They charge for extra sauce but not just the crazy hot.

I just don’t think I’ll go back. But maybe if you know what to expect well in advanced, unlike me, you will be prepared and it may be an really fun experience. There’s writing all over the walls, literally. Bring a Sharpie, you can write something that only you will ever read and find humorous as well. Don’t expect silverware, you’re eating with your hands. Don’t expect plates, as the tables get seranwrapped after every use. What you can expect is for your food to be delivered to your table in bags. You open the bag and everyone digs in. You can expect to wear bibs, and you can expect to eat the heads off of shrimp. You can expect to pay per pound for seafood where about 85 percent of the weight comes from shells and outside layers that you peel away to get to the actual edible part. There are lots of Asians. Not a bad thing, just an observation. Not really my sort of thing. Too expensive, not enough food, lack of class. It may sound fun, but this wasn’t really fun for me. I know that my wife was definitely not a fan. But the place was packed, so somebody is digging it, just not me.

BOC is still one of my favorite restaurants in all of Salt Lake. Their newly opened competitor in Midvale doesn’t hold a candle to this place in terms of flavor and service. If you’ve never eaten here before, you shouldn’t wear white or anything really nice because you might get messy and the smell of seafood might linger on your clothing. This is because your order will come in a bag of sauce and you’ll have to remove the shells with your hands which can result in a bit of splashing. It’s a fun and unique dining experience for sure. One of my favorite things to get is the Dungeness crab which comes whole, and around 2 – 2 ½ pounds. It’s not the cheapest, but it’s very delicious in the hot garlic butter sauce. I also love their sweet potato fries and getting a side of bread to dip into the sauce. Enjoy!
