I love Italian bread and they have it. A bakery that has lasted in west warwick for a while, as you can see its not what it use to be. I’m always looking for a mom and pop bakery like matos

This is a lovely bakery as well as a great place to get in my opinion the best fish and chips… Not greasy and the staff always courteous

This has been my first time going to Mato’s Bakery, I end up buying two lemon squares, they were delicious and I can actually taste the lemon filling and it’s well worth $ 1.00 plus tax, I will be going back again soon to try the breads and other pastries and lunch, I recommend this bakery and it’s right on the bus line which is great for me coming from Coventry

Lovely little bakery in downtown West Warwick. They got some raving reviews so I had to check it out. they have your typical bakery pastries, breads and sausages. Love that they are open til 7 since many bakeries close much earlier than that. Very much enjoyed the cherry cheesecake. definitely want to try their pizza and soups. parking is a tad bit cumbersome but that’s typical for this area.

This place is the worst. What they actually make from scratch, which is not much, has a very odd taste. Most of their pastry comes frozen and is simply thawed or reheated and put out on display.(This according to an employee who waited on me). I gave the place two tries, but I am done. Really disgusting.

Fantastic! This place is a little shop in the metropolis of West Warwick. My first venture in was a surprise. There were folks flowing out of the door and packed in tight. The staff did a great job of keeping the line(s) moving. I will admit though that at one point I was getting a bit teed off because of the conversations that were going on with the staff and the customers, but then I got a grip and realized it is a neighborhood place where relationships are required. So i pushed it all down, deep, deep down inside. Anyway, Rhode Island is full of great little diners and bakeries. This is one that I would put at the top of the pack at the moment. That is why only 4 stars, because I always leave room for that one special place. I digress, this is a great place. We had an assortment of things, must of which I have no idea what they were called other than ______berry thingy or cookie thingy. But, they did have a home made dough-boy and a Bismark. The Bismark was different and was made in an éclair pastry. I think this was the second best Bismark in the whole of RI. The Dough-boy was different. I think it was fried pizza dough but it had a lemony flavor, just a hint. So I don’t think it was the best, but if you get it fresh, it is good. All of the other items were fantastic. They all carried their unique flavors. They were not drowned out by the pastry or cream. Oh, did I mention the prices are insainly low. So again, this is one that should be on your list.
