Although I’m a fan, it no longer matters because they’re closed! :( I just met with my friends here after work tonight and they’re closed, and it seems like it’ll be for good. The cupcake area was gone, there were no cars in sight. Pretty sad. I’ve learned of the place from . It was new to me at the time and so we went. I had cheese tortellini with grilled shrimp. I loved it the first time I had it and the second time the shrimp was a bit burnt but the cream sauce was perfect. The calamari here was also great. I had the wine slushie but it was just okay. Known as the cupcake place, I didn’t really like their cupcakes, I thought the frosting was a bit too sweet. I’m sad they didn’t remain open that long.

My husband and I went here about a month ago. The food was great(try the calamari). The cupcakes are YUM. I was, however, a bit disappointed with the wine slushie. My husband was not impressed with the music that was playing(think elevator music). It just didn’t do much for the ambiance. But, I would definitely go here again and think you should check it out!

This was my fourth or fifth visit, and I predict we are at the beginning of the end for Razzle. The waitress handed us menus, but told us almost all the prices had gone up on drinks. For the price, it was the shortest pour I have had on a wine in years(also, it was so bitter it burned my tongue. Open bottle, I guess). The waitress argued with us about it, which by the way is not a customer service strategy. The rest of the wines that came out while we were there were of a normal quantity. The salads had about a half cup of greens. The entrée, which I have had before and loved, was literally half the size it usually is. My friends liked their chicken caprese, but strangely it was prepared with no basil, so the flavor was bland. The cupcakes seem smaller too, but definitely with lighter/less frosting. There is less butter, more sugar and very whipped for lots of air, which is a good thing. The Aztec Chocolate was almost too hot to eat, while the carrot cake(more of a spice cake flavor) was good. My friends loved the Elvis(peanut butter and banana) and lemondrop flavors. I hope these folks make it, but I am doubtful.

I was unimpressed. The wine slushies are exactly what you would expect(think Del’s made with wine) — good if you have a hankering, but nothing to write home about. The Mediterranean wrap I ordered tasted like something nasty that I won’t type here, and I had to send it back. They need to work on figuring out the right herbs/spices/vegetables combo for that one. Friends I went with had mixed reactions to their own dishes — some enjoyed the food, others found it to be sub-par. The one standout was the homemade tortilla chips appetizer with cheese dipping sauce — excellent. Now the cupcakes… These are Razzle’s claim to fame, so I assumed they would be magnificent. My mistake, as they were tiny(about 2.5″ in diameter) — on the small side of a cupcake I would make at home — and overpriced for what you get, at $ 2.75 a pop. I got the raspberry chocolate cupcake, and was disappointed to discover the gorgeously tinted pink frosting had no flavor at all. The highlight of my cupcake was the small fruit candy stuck in the top. A friend ordered the Aztec chocolate cupcake and was much more impressed, for good reason — lots of cinnamon in both the frosting and the cake, with a hint of cayenne to give it a kick. If I ever return to Razzle, I’ll go for that one. YMMV; order at your own risk.

I was really looking forward to going here and trying out what looked like a pretty interesting and unique menu. My Mom and I shared the Calamari — we got the sauce on the side, because we didn’t want the breading to get soggy.(Good call, because I imagine that it would have made them VERY soggy quickly!) But all in the all, the calamari was tender, all rings, and tasty. That was the best part of our meal. My Mom got a BBQ Chicken Panini — while the chicken and BBQ sauce were tasty, the bread was so hard — it was inedible. I got the Grapevine Burger, it said that the burger was«Stuffed» with blue cheese, when in fact it is actually two separate patties, with a load of blue cheese spread in the middle. The grape/cream cheese spread comes on the side — and while it goes well with the burger, it is a bit thin and overall should have been put on the burger to make it a well put together concept and not just a side thought. The potato wedges that came with both dishes were burnt and the waitress said«they used special potatoes that were darker than other potatoes» — umm yeah… no they were burnt. I took home two cupcakes — a red velvet and a PB Cup. At $ 2.75 each, I expected more. My husband said his PB cupcake was dry, and my first experience with red velvet left me feeling a little flat. All in all, I would never return. Ah well — lesson learned. I would save your money and make your own cupcakes…

I had such high hopes for this place! The concept of a cupcake and wine bar always gets me excited since I enjoy wine and love cupcakes. The food was decent here, the reason I rated it so low was because the service was HORRIBLE. One of the worse I have received at a restaurant in recent years. We weren’t greeted, which okay whatever I am over it; but, when it takes forever to give your order, forever to get the food, the food gets messed up, the water glasses are empty, and a smile is no where to be found by the waitstaff, it is really disappointing. I feel like my friends and I spent more time wondering where the waitress was then actually enjoying our food. With all that being said I will say two out of three of our cupcakes were delicious! The cheesecake one and the carrot cake were great, the PB&J one was really dry.

Razzle was an adorable small restaurant, bar, & «cupcakery!» You’re greeted by delicious looking cupcakes when you walk in the door. which is an automatic plus! The waitress when I went in was so nice & accommodating. The menu does need some updating since they don’t serve tuna anymore(unfortunate, because I really wanted to try the tuna & avocado tartare roll-ups!), but what I did order — spicy shrimp appetizer– was very good & very spicy. Shrimp were cooked well, rice wasn’t overly cooked, and it was presented nicely in a clean white bowl. I didn’t get a chance to try a cupcake, but I’ll definitely go back for more!

Awesome local joint. Went on a Friday at 7 and without a reservation we were able to get the last table. The food is AMAZING — capital A. We had the calamari which is tossed in a different type of sauce with pickled peppers. Lightly fried. For dinner we had the creamy chicken and the gnocchi that was a special. I really cant rave enough about the food — everything was delicious. The portions are a good size for the price. We both ended up taking our meals home because we were so full from the calamari and salad. The prices are extremely reasonable. For 2 people having beer, an app, two entrees, and of course cupcakes the bill was under $ 60. One gripe about this place — there were 3 – 4 things on the menu that we tried to order but they don’t have anymore, so they should work on keeping it updated. Also the menu says to ask about wine and cupcake pairings — the answer given to the table next to us was«the cupcakes change so much we really don’t do that.» Menu updated = 5 stars. Until then, 4 it is. Lastly, they’re on and they have very limited restrictions. Use it!

After reading the reviews here, I had very high expectations for Razzle before I even stepped foot in the establishment. My wife and I had a belated Valentine’s dinner there last night and I can honestly say that it met, if not exceeded, all of my expectations. I knew the place was small, but I didn’t realize just how small until we got there. There are seven tables, the bar and the cupcake display case — that’s about it. While this may turn some people off, we loved it. It created a nice, intimate atmosphere during dinner which is exactly what we were looking for. My one suggestion for the owners is to play some jazz music(or something along those lines) over the speakers instead of today’s hits. We started off with the fried calamari, which they cook in a garlic butter sauce which is just delicious. Of course, we each had a glass of wine as well. For the main course, she got the Maui Pizza while I opted for the Grape Vine Burger. Both meals were served in a timely manner and both were absolutely delicious. My burger features a pair of patties with bleu cheese in the middle and a side of grape cream cheese to spread. It might sound like an odd combination, but the subtle flavor of the grape in the cream cheese mixed with the meat and the bleu cheese to create an outstanding taste. We each got another glass of wine and paired it with a cupcake. Razzle doesn’t have the cupcake flavors on the menu, so you actually have to get up and walk over to the display case to pick them out. Personally, I like this idea because it gives your body a chance to digest some of the food you just ate and make room for the cupcake you’re about to enjoy. I got the Aztec Chili Chocolate cupcake, while my wife got the Chocolate Peanut Butter cupcake. They were both out of this world. The frosting was neither too heavy nor too sweet, and the actual cake part was moist and fluffy. It was an excellent ending to a superb experience. Also, our waiter Bill was terrific. We will definitely head back to Razzle time and time again!

I had been dying to try this place, so one night after work, my friends and I headed over. It was a little past 10 pm, and to our disappointment, their posted hours indicated they were closed. The chef was in the parking lot, packing up her car, and on a whim I asked«so… you’re all closed up for the night?» To which she replied, «You can go in and have a drink if you want»… Letting us in for a glass of wine(after a long night at work) was outstanding hospitality in my book. The service did not stop short there: The friendly bartender talked shop with us for a few, recommended some wines, and told us we’d have to come back for dinner sometime. Maureen, the owner(and cupcake baker) came out and introduced herself, and insisted we try not 1, not 2, not 3– but 4 of her very original cupcake varieties. I had the Aztec Chilli Chocolate, which paired with my glass of 7 Deadly Zins, was out-of-this-world. The Banana-Nutella wasn’t too shabby either! Can’t wait to go back for dinner sometime!

Only recently found this restaurant, which has been open since the last few months of 2011. Only gone by several times on the way to Uncle Tony’s or Bob’s or even the Dollar Tree. It clearly didn’t stand out in its location that something facing the street would, but it’s worth looking for and well worth the visit. Service was great, food was perfect, order was handled correctly. The only downside here is that I didn’t have enough room for one of everything on the menu and every cupcake in the case. A visit is expected in the next couple weeks to try something different off the menu. If you haven’t been… GO!

Wee tried to go to Razzle last night but they were closed so we decided to try again tonight as we live in Virginia and really wanted to try it before we left, so glad we did!!! First let me say the waitress was awesome! She was very friendly and also extremely helpful as far as what she recommended. The wine list, was amazing I want it in my house! We started a the calamari, delish!!! Was different then I’d ever had it and was very tasty! Our meals were all great I had the Razzle shrimp my mother had the stroganoff and my fiancé had the salmon everything was great! I venture to plenty fine dining restaurants around the country and although this is a very small bistro the service and food is up there w some of the best I’ve been to! Will definitely return when I’m back to visit the family!

I was really pleasantly surprised by Razzle. Upon walking in, the cupcakes certainly catch your eye and you know you’re in for a treat. But then you see how small and cozy the restaurant is, and you tend to assume(or at least I did) that cupcakes may be their only real specialty, and everything else is mediocre so they can focus on the cupcakes. But I was proven very, very wrong. Not about the cupcakes being amazing, because they were. But about the rest of the food. From wine(and wine slush!!!) to appetizers to entrees and dessert, everything we tasted at Razzle was unbelievably delicious. We started with the calamari and«egg rolls»(which are more like a combination of manicotti and an italian grinder, but AMAZING), tried a couple of their sandwiches for dinner, and ended with the banana nutella and chocolate chip cheesecake cupcakes. Everything was to die for. We had to bring the cupcakes home for later because we were so full from cleaning our plates during the first two courses. The service was also great. The staff at Razzle is super nice and gives you a very«at home» feel — even when we went with a huge party, and filled up almost the entire restaurant, we felt like we belonged there and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. So, in summary, go to Razzle! And don’t let looks deceive you.

I went to Razzle for the first time last night for an event — «The Ultimate Trifecta: Jewelry, Wine & Cupcakes.» It was a fun time and the event hostess(who did not work at the restaurant) was lovely. This intimate restaurant serves delicious moist cupcakes, but that’s about all it offers. The service was absolutely horrible. We were not greeted by anyone when we sat at the bar and were never asked if we wanted anything to drink besides the complimentary wine slush. Finally, when the owner walked over, we asked for a wine list. I understand the restaurant was busy(and by busy I mean the 6 tables were full), but there is no reason to be rude and ignore customers — especially new ones. With ownership like that, I doubt this restaurant will survive. I won’t be going back there.

I have been to Razzle a total of 3 times and have not left disappointed. The concept of Wine & Cupcakes was the initial draw to this gem, but what I didn’t know, was what a surprise I was in for. First of all the staff is amazing, they are very knowledgeable about the menu and wine’s they offer. We recently went with a party of 11 and they were amazing, making sure we had everything we needed. All the food is made from scratch and it shows. The two meals I’ve had there were amazing! The portions are more than enough leaving you with leftovers to enjoy the next day! The Creamy Chicken was amazing. The chicken was so moist and the peas and bacon really accented the dish wonderfully. Also, can’t forget the cupcakes — we’ve tried a different flavor each time we went and loved them! So delicious, perfect ending to any meal. No room for dessert? No problem, take one home! Perfect late night snack or treat for tomorrow!

The food menu is a bit small, but it’s a nice variety of things. I had the Grapevine Burger, which was messy and delicious. I really loved the grape spread that you can put on top. If you like blue cheese, I would definitely suggest it. My boyfriend got one of the specials, ricotta gnocchi that were really delicious. We talked to the owner for a bit, she definitely cares about wines. Make sure to check about wines that they don’t have on the list — they’re expanding and changing the selection too quickly to keep the list updated. We got a cookies and cream cupcake which I wasn’t particularly impressed with. The frosting was very good but the cupcake itself was a bit dry. Overall, I enjoyed myself and will definitely go back.

Poor Razzles needs some reviews! I’m going to be honest, I didn’t have high expectations. Cupcakes, wine, and food? All crammed into a little spot in between a chinese place and Mardi Gras? Ok, sure. But in we went, admiring the cupcakes in the display case while we were being seated. It is cozy inside, a small bar and less than dozen tables. We were quickly greeted by the bartender/server. I had some questions about the interesting fruit wines on the menu and he was very helpful. After a few more minutes we both had our beverages in hand and were ready to order. As my dining partner has already mentioned in her review we enjoyed the wings! We ordered the mild, so the were sweet with a kick. Perfect for me! The Thanksgiving sandwich. What can I say? It was perfect. Exactly what I want when I’m in the mood for a Thanksgiving sandwich. You can get it as a wrap or a panini, I went with the panini. It came out on a torpedo roll perfectly grilled. The turkey was juicy, the stuffing was delicious and the cranberry sauce brought it on home. I didn’t even bother using the gravy for the sandwich but rather used it to dip my potato wedges in. Thankfully I had half a sandwich leftover which made for a great lunch the next day. Of course we grabbed some cupcakes to go. We made the mistake of not eating them until the next day so I have a feeling they weren’t as great as they could have been. I’d like to head back and try something fresh. Overall I was very happy with the experience! The service was friendly, the food was tasty and the prices were fantastic. I’m looking forward to enjoying a wine slushy out on the patio next summer.

When I drove by Razzles before it officially opened I thought… Cupcakes? Good! Wine? Good! Food? Good! Let’s do this! So once I caught wind of their opening, I knew I had to put my eatin’ dress on and get down there. When we arrived we were greeted not only by a friendly hostess, but also a glowing display case full of tempting cupcake treats. If you’ve got enough willpower to get past the cupcakes you’ll find a small dining room, maybe about 7 or 8 tables and a small bar. We were the only people in the dining room when we arrived, and while that can lead to an awkward dance of too much/not enough attention for the server, our server handled it perfectly. He was attentive, but didn’t hover or linger. When we ordered drinks he let us know they were still working on building their beer and wine menu. They have a decent list of wines available and 3 taps which didn’t house bud/miller/coors which I appreciated. Feeling like something a little different? Try a wine slushy! We were offered samples the two flavors they have and both were shockingly tasty! For food, we started with the wings — a little sweet, a little spicy and a whole lot of delicious. Just thinking about them now makes me drool a little. For dinner I had a ginormous bowl of ooey gooey cheesy baked penne and my partner had the Thanksgiving panini which even came with an addictive side of gravy. Everything we had was dangerously delicious. When cupcake time rolled around we were stuffed! However knowing the cupcake god would smite us if we left without a cupcake, we took home two, a red velvet and and chocolate chip cheesecake. Both were just as yummy as expected, but a wee heavy on the frosting.

This place is seriously amazing. I have been here numerous times and each time I have been satisfied. The chips and dip which are homemade are so amazing and different. I have had the pizza which is perfect and the BBQ wrap which is also amazing. The calamari and fried cheese which I have tried also were phenomenal. The shrimp Razzle was also to die for. Everything I have eaten here especially the cupcakes has been nothing short of excellence. My favorite cupcakes would have to be the nutella banana, oreo, pbandj and the baileys. Razzle is awesome and I highly recommend it to anyone. Especially if they want a classy atmosphere, not to loud and reasonably priced.

Razzle has officially opened and it’s glorious. You walk in and you’re greeted by a cupcake counter. If you want to take your cupcakes and leave, you can do just that. If you want more, you can keep on walking in and grab a seat at the bar or a table. Start with a wine slush. The strawberry riesling is delicious, but so is the watermelon white merlot. They’re a little pricy, but only because you’re going to want a few of them. My «vine burger» was inventive and absolutely delicious. A burger stuffed with bleu cheese and topped with a mixture of light cream cheese and grape slices? It sounds weird but it’s AWESOME. I licked the bun when I was too full to eat anymore of the burger. Really. Equally as amazing? A side of their OMGIWANTTOEATTHISALLDAY sweet potatoes loaded with butter and marshmallows. There are no words for the yum that came oozing out of this. Things I didn’t eat but tried(and were loved by their eaters) was the BBQ chicken wrap, loaded with caramelized onions and again, SOGOOD. The salmon burger was equally as well made and delicious. The food here is way above average for the area, and you might pay a few dollars more for it, but I’d eat here all the time if I lived anywhere nearby. My recommendation is to come in(like NOW before everyone finds out about them), get a strawberry riesling wine slush, a vine burger, and a side of sweet mashed potatoes. DOIT!
