Food was excellent, as always. Unfortunately we were stuck with a waitress we had in the past who always gives us bad service. I think her name is Jessica. She’s super sweet don’t get me wrong, giving us a good recommendation from the menu — but she’s never around. Twice we had the same exact experience with her where she would never come back and check on us, offer to refill our drinks or even to come over and ask how our food was. Now I would completely understand if it was busy as I work in hospitality myself but we went at 9pm and we were one of three tables in there. will return but will hopefully get a different waitress…

I enjoy Joes for lunch when I’m in town. Good service and food. I like their meatloaf and the mustard crusted chicken, but their salads are great too.

I Give it an A for space. The place is huge. It’s big and bright with lots of windows so if you go for lunch on a sunny day you’ll have lots of light. It’s clean and modern with a nice menu. That goes a long way in my book. They have Gluten Free options clearly laid out making it easier to decipher. Whether those are any good, who knows. They have bottles of wine on the table if you are interested. I thought that was funny. I was surprised by the menu options, it looked better that I thought for a chain. What I WAS disappointed in, was when I ordered Thai chicken lettuce wraps and out comes Chicken salad in lettuce cups. yeah. Like chicken in a can mashed up with mayonnaise. Pretty sure I read the description well and I didn’t catch the chicken salad part. Ugh. Maybe I blacked it out.

Recently gave it a try. The place was packed so I expected a real treat. Staff was ok, food was ok, place was clean. It was just ok. Prices for«ok» are a little high.

Our party of 7 which included 4 children was pleasantly surprised by this chain restaurant. The focaccia bread and signature dipping sauce were excellent. Our meals were unique in presentation and ingredients. Very tasty food. The service was superior with much attention to detail.

I’m quickly gaining new restaurant favs in Rhode Island. I can thank my co-workers for my first visit here. Great outdoor patio was perfect setting for happy hour. Our waitress — I didn’t catch her name as I wasn’t one of the first ones there — was amazing. She remembered who ordered what drink and quickly noticed when new faces appeared. Our drinks were delicious and our appetizers were even better. Now what was great, was the olive oil, hot pepper flakes, parmesan cheese and garlic dip for the bread(which was really good as well). I can’t wait to have that again.

This is my 3rd time at Not Your Average Joe. The first time I went when it first open. Not good. Chalked it up to it being new. The 2nd time was just average. Decided to give it one more shop before tossing it aside. Glad I did. The service, as usual, was excellent. The chicken dumplings were fantastic. The side salad was very fresh and the best champagne vinaigrette dressing I ever had. The burger was huge and excellent. The peanut butter thing I had for desert was outstanding. The whole meal blew away all past experience. I am now becoming a Not Your Average Joes regular.

Been to Not Your Average Joe’s a few times now. They have a nice bar along the left side where you can grab a beverage or stay for a meal. There are an assortment of booths and tables inside and an outdoor patio. My last visit was on a Thursday night at about 7:30 and I was surprised to find there was a wait for a table. We found a seat at the bar while we waited. We were not in a rush, and the bartenders were busy so we didn’t get a beverage for quite a while, not that we minded at all, just have patience and they will get to you as soon as they can. Our table was called shortly after we got our drinks. Bread is placed on the table along with a bowl of olive oil, grated cheese and hot pepper flakes. The bread has a nice crust and is soft in the middle. Moist enough that you don’t need to dip it in the oil, but soft enough that it makes for good dipping. Our menu’s were sticky and needed a serious wipe down. You could clearly see food between the pages and on the single page drink menu place on the table. I have tried a different item each visit and most have been nice. The menu seems to change each time I visit. I feel this restaurant has a lot of potential, but something is always just a little off. I started with a salad of mixed greens, almond crusted goat cheese and raspberry which was nice. They offer it in a ‘dinner’ size, but I’m not sure it would satisfy as a dinner — for me any way. The salad was placed on the table, but no silverware was presented. We waited a while, the waiter passed by a couple of times and eventually we asked for a fork. Next I had the grilled cheese with tomato soup. There was something about the soup that just wasn’t ‘right’ for me. It is a cream of tomato soup, with lots of basil, which I love, but there was some taste in there that was ‘off’. Maybe it’s the stock base? The menu doesn’t specify ingredients. The grilled cheese was nice and melty with a smoky Gouda which was lovely. The menu states the sandwich comes with mustard and apple. The mustard was overwhelming, even against the smoky cheese and I couldn’t tell it there were any apples in there but there was a small portion on the plate as a garnish. On another occasion I had a Turkey burger which was quite nice. Turkey burgers are naturally dry and the addition of tatziki sauce helps make it moist and easy to eat. There are several beer on tap and a full bar. The menu offers a variety of salads, appetizers, seafood, chicken and steak with influences from Asian, Italian and American flavors. They also have a kids menu.

Never had a bad meal at this place. Excellent and courteous staff, love the atmosphere as well. Always a great and enjoyable experience tosay the least. Forst time here for lunch and hopefully not the last for awhile. Planning on going back soon. Be warned though, Friday-Sundays eating there at dinner time can be a tremendously long wait time.

I’m from Mass and was always a fan. Relocated to Warwick and pleasantly surprised when a location opened up at the Mall. We’ve been at least 4 times since the opening and it has always been pleasant. I love their creative menu most of all! Today there was a minor setback with our Ahi Tuna Wontons(a favorite) and all I can say is they handled it professionally, apologetically and they replaced it with a fresh order, and took it off the bill. The manager came to talk to us later and that’s all I’ll ever expect in such circumstances. Acknowledgement, friendliness and resolution. Our waitress was mortified and my nature was to feel bad for her! LOL Anyway, I still love the wontons app, and my burger was cooked perfectly medium. I’m a great cook but I have a hard time with burgers! My husband’s chicken piccata was good, but the only thing I’d say is that it was one small cutlet. Very small for an entrée. They treated us nicely, I love their menu, the drink specials are great. So we’ll go back. :)

The name is correct. They are below average. Quality has gone down substantially since they have opened. Ordered 3 items for take out today — 2 Chicken BLT sandwiches. Got them home and BOTH lacked the«B». Called to let the restaurant know. Was transferred by Kelly to Paige who told me she couldnt do anything(not sure why they transferred me to her then) and then to manager Mike. Mike curtly said they would take it off my bill. No «i’m sorry» zero customer service. With plenty of options available in this area, you need to have not your below average care for your customers.

I absolutely love NYAJ, they are probably one of my favorite chain restaurants up there with Cheesecake Factory & Carrabba’s. The Warwick venue is clean and modern, the menu is versatile and the service is always on point. You can order takeout and they tend to send many coupons for takeout and dining if you provide an email. Also, you can reserve a table in advance and they have outside seating as well. They give you delicious focaccia bread to start with a side of oil with garlic Parmesan and red pepper flakes. Note: the bread and dipping side is delicious, don’t get too full! I usually start with the ahi tuna wontons, they are by far the best appetizer. Seared tuna sliced over fried wontons topped with a bit of ginger and a couple of sauces. It’s pretty tasty and you can opt to get it with cucumbers instead of wontons if you are watching the waistline or gluten free. My favorite meal: the Rosemary scallops. The large sea scallops are skewered on Rosemary stems and perfectly seared served with a side of Israeli couscous mixed with great flavors. Although this is my go to, I’ve tried their burgers, pizzas, salads and other entrees such as steak tips and salmon and all are feat. Haven’t yet been disappointed by this place and glad they have sprouted another location(Seekonk)…lets get one in Smithfield or Lincoln!

Terrible last night. Well done salmon came out raw, caesar salad had mostly bitter core luttuce and very little green, green beans«sauteed w/garlic and seasoned» tasted like nothing, mashed garlic potatoes were dry and pasty, portion of steak tips was meager for $ 18, chowder lacked substance. Hilight of the meal was the free bread and the side of fries, both excellent. Service, while efficient, seemed apathetic. No manager came by to check on us after there was a problem, server never asked. $ 63 after tax/tip — there are much better and less expensive options in the area — fell ripped off honestly. Hostess was very nice, saved you from 1 star, but honestly 90% of the staff looked miserable. Bad vibe/atmosphere. This place is out of the rotation for the forseeable future.

Children(especially seven, all under the age of 6) don’t belong in the bar area. If you’re looking for an adult conversation and night out look elsewhere. Kids everywhere. Steak was dry and chewy. Stay away. Enchiladas were really good. My dessert never got ordered.

I came here once while staying at a nearby hotel. The great thing about this restaurant is just walking through the door your feel the warmth from not only the heater but from the smile on their faces… on to the breakdown. The Décor: Nothing really stood out to me. It was the classic modern take on a typical family restaurant. I found the colors neutral yet inviting and the flow of the room seemed to help the functionality. I felt comfortable and welcomed from the moment I walked in which is really important when you’re traveling. Service: Sadly, I sat at the bar so my view of the service might be a little different then others. But the bartenders were awesome. Katie or Kate, I think that was her name, was very friendly and even had nice suggestions on what to order. Another plus was that I never felt presser to order a drink. Being that I was working and have very strict rules on when I can consume alcohol, I hate when bartenders try to repeatedly ask you if you want a drink. Almost as if they’re trying to wear down your resolve. I had only my food and water and she was still as attentive to me as if I had been slamming down shots all night. Which for a bartender point of view meant she has EXCELLENT customer service. Really that chick needs to be made bar manager or something. Food: Another bright spot in the evening. I really enjoyed my pizza and really have no complaints. The crust as thin and very tasty, the only criticism that I can give is maybe it could crisper, the sauce was just the right amount and the toppings were on point. For the price of my food I think I definitely I got my money’s worth. I would definitely recommend, and have recommended, this restaurant to anyone. There maybe other places around them that have better food but no one will have better service or experience. They really are doing a great job and I can’t wait o come back.

Not your average joe’s does not have a dodge ball center if you were thinking like me. After finding out the unfortunate news, I was starving, so I stayed for lunch. They dropped the bread off and the rest is history. The olive oil with garlic and parmesan cheese, premium. The chicken tenders in some type of BBQ island sauce, premium. Even the pizza was pretty good, I liked the beer selection as they had some locals to choose from. I recommend coming if you don’t mind going to a chain every once in awhile and you are on your way to the mall or movie.(they got deals with Showcase if you are planning on going before or after) Service was alright nothing over the top, nothing to go and bash them on Unilocal about though. So if you aren’t trying to play dodge ball and maybe just a little bit hungry, average joe’s is spot to try out

Good service and pretty good, all-inclusive menu for a chain restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised. The bread they bring out with the cheese olive oil spread is top notch– it’s Romano and parm cheese with red pepper flakes, garlic and olive oil. I had the grilled chicken kabobs in a cider glaze atop spaghetti squash and Farro salad with raisins. The chicken was well cooked and very tasty with the cider marinade. The spaghetti squash wasn’t too watery and was tasty. I had a side of marinara which was the perfect addition. However, they forgot to add the toasted pumpkin seeds which was disappointing! We were in before the busy Lunch hour but our server was very attentive and friendly.

One of my favorite dinner places… I don’t know if its their fresh bread and garlic oil. or the bottomless lime rickeys(amazing!!!). They have a wide array of dinner choices from salmon to chicken to pizza and meatloaf. Definitely must try the maple brussel sprouts! The ambiance is quaint with cathedral ceilings and wood work. If you go in the warmer months. You can sit outside near their fire place. Its definitely worth a try if you haven’t been!
