Thorpes Laundromat

Overall, this laundromat is really nice. It’s very clean and they have a variety of sizes for washers and plenty of dryers.

I forgot something in a washer there and they were nice enough to throw it in the dryer for me while I drove back.

I unfortunately do not have a washer and dryer so off to the laundry mat I go! Thorpes staff are very friendly and they have a card system where you put cash on a card which is so much better then carrying around a sock full of quarters.
The area where all the washer and dryers are is very clean and if you do forget your detergent you can buy it there for cheaper than most other places which was surprising.
I was starving and did have a few extra quarters and went over to the vending machine and was pleasantly surprised by how cheap and healthy some of the options were. There are a few tables and free wifi if you want to work while you wait.
Also, in the back there are a few arcade games, a coffee machine and another television.
The only reason this place does not get five stars in my book is the mildew smell in the back of the mat. It’s the only place that has carpet which makes sense but it still needs a deep cleaning.

Best one I have been to since we moved to RI, the staff is pleasant and friendly. They have these huge washers and got a few new ones that do either ¹⁰⁰⁄₁₂₅ lbs. They recently started selling lottery tickets for those into that and they have vending machines, ice cream and candy. Also they do not take quarters they have a machine that allows you to put money on a card. They also have games for kids if you do not mind you kids playing with the toys and free wifi.
