CDM has evidently been renovated so that some of the older reviews simply no longer apply. The Front Desk was very polite and professional even suggesting a different room then the one they were holding for me that they thought I would prefer. The room was neat and clean and freshly scented upon arrival from its recent cleaning. The bed was comfortable; the linens and towels perfectly fine. The bathroom shower was quite nice… the pressure actually pleasantly brisk! Continental breakfast was provided in the lobby. I was looking for a very reasonably priced place for a short stay and would recommend CDM for those looking for something similar. CDM would appear to be a good place for those looking to spend their Cape days and nights out and about in the nearby towns; at the nearby beaches; malls/movies if inclement weather strikes, etc… only to return to a clean comfortable room, equipped with a fridge and microwave, for purposes of freshening up and sleeping.

This motel is really nice for a nice little getaway to the cape. My boyfriend and I wanted a quick cape trip and to obviously not spend a lot on a hotel room which we knew we would barely be in since we were out and about a ton. We got there and the guy in the office was really nice and let us check in early. It’s nice and quite and when we got to our room, the room was nice & spacious and very clean!!! Had everything you would need. And any staff we ran into was very friendly. I would suggest this to anyone just looking to get to the cape and not spend a lot trying to find a place that’ll cost a ton. It’s more suited for adults, just because it doesn’t have a pool and all the other stuff kids like. But for an adult who needs a place to stay in the cape and wants to be near a lot, I would recommend this place. My boyfriend and I were happy with our experience here.

A pleasant surprise for a motel! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. It even smelled nice! Room had fridge, microwave, iron, and hair dryer. Although not currently advertised, they provide coffee, juice, cold cereal, and mini muffins in the morning for no additional charge. Staff was friendly, helpful, and sincere. Perfect place to stay for short visit or for family on a budget.

Kind of a funny story… I made a reservation here because I thought I was going to a concert at the Cape Cod Melody Tent which is about 2 hours from home. My friend and I just didn’t want to have to worry about the long drive. Well I made the reservations here, and then the DAYOFTHECONCERT, I found out that the concert was at the South Shore Music Circus! I called to see if I could cancel, pretty much knowing that the answer would be no, considering it was 10am on the day I was supposed to check in. The receptionist did say no, but I asked to speak to the manager. She said that if they end up selling out all of the rooms, they would not charge me. I thought that was nice, but figured, why on earth would they tell me the truth? So, I figured I was out the $ 100(by my own fault) and went to my concert. To my surprise, they called me the next day and said that the hotel did in fact sell out, and that they would NOT be charging my credit card! I was shocked that they really did stick to that and I think that is GREAT customer service, considering it was completely my fault. I have had bad customer service at muuchhhh more expensive hotels, so I figured this was writing a review about, even though I have never actually stayed there. Obviously, if I am ever in that area, I will give this hotel a shot, considering how they treated me! I can’t really give more than 3 stars because I haven’t even been there!

Castle… Dawn…Motel. Three seemingly random nouns in which the latter-most is only the real descriptor of the place. This is no adequate«castle» to house nobility nor launch a defensive stand against an enemy… but, it does have that Medieval ages charm of lackluster plumbing and inadequate pest control. Ah, nostalgia. My wife and I spent four nights here. Based on the cheap rate we got, we weren’t expecting the Hilton. Or the Howard Johnson. Or subsidized public housing. That said, this is just the place that can be quite agreeable to your tastes… as long as you: a) don’t have high expectations OR b) have normal expectations that can be adequately supplanted by a ridiculously far-reaching sense of humor. The place had sheets, a bed, and other simple amenities. In addition, our room posed the interesting challenge of sharing our space with billions of microorganisms that conveniently enjoyed the moist, warm space of the shower. Nevertheless, we emerged from our trip victorious and free from inhaling any inflammatory respiratory ailments. At least for now. Since I had to take an online quiz for my college class, I had to walk around the parking lot, virtually tossing my laptop into the air to find the Wi-Fi signal. Eventually, I found it, after I plopped down right outside the main office door at 11PM. See, it’s not too bad. Just make sure you’re nimble enough to keep the prodigious ants from crawling into any USB ports or power adapters. To be quite candid, I do not recommend this hotel for certain people and situations, in particular: an amazing honeymoon, a romantic getaway, a girl’s weekend or bachelorette party, mycophobia sufferers, the physically handicapped, the elderly, parents who care about the developmental progress of their young children, fine towel aficionados, Trappist monks seeking solitude, anybody seeking solitude, people who saw the pool on the website and got excited, those who have a diagnosed rust allergy, those who have trouble sleeping to reverberating bass lines, any need of any kind of dependable internet connection, people who look down on loud drinking games played by teenagers, and finally, any kind of tourist. So, if you’re not one of these people, sign up for a week-long stay… you’ll have a blast!
