Some hits, some misses. Overall, not too compelling. The calamari was quite good, served with an Asian type of sauce. The ribeye was pretty good in terms of cut but nothing special in terms of seasoning. The trout was also pretty good. Don’t believe the pictures posted on the seafood pasta. For $ 25, it came with 1 scallop and 3 shrimps… I was like WHAT?! It would have been ok if the preparation/sauce were good. Unfortunately, the sauce was incredibly heavy and simply lacked taste. I couldn’t muster more than 3 bites. My husband had a pear salad and added chicken to it. The chicken was incredibly dry and tasteless. He couldn’t eat the chicken, that’s how bad it was. $ 130ish later and half of our party left hungry.

This is in time order. We(group of four) came in and get seated, then a group of six came in and waitress asked if we could move and they could seat the group of six, we did. But we seat on a table with only two glasses and plates. Then the group of six got the menus firstly and we had to ask for order and water. Only three menus were given. And only one more plates were given. Asked for menu for one more time and got a wine menu. To get the plates and silvers, we asked three times. One member of our group ordered wine and it came 15minutes later. I ordered quail and it tastes bitter. If this business opened not in Yellowstone where people have less choices, the business would end in one day.

Serenity is a small bistro. Pleasant staff, quiet dining, and great food. The menu has several seafood or vegetarian dishes. We liked it enough that we ate two dinners there do we could try additional menu items.

Serenity was a cute little place with delicious food and great service! We had the trout and bison tortellini and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend having a seat on the patio and enjoying the great food!

This review is being written 60+ minutes after being seated, without yet receiving our food — 3 pasta entrees, as a simple chicken dish. Indoor seating was very crowded and there was no air flow, so we opted for outside. Perhaps that was our problem? We’ve been through 3 liters of water, two baskets of bread, multiple assurances our food was«coming right out.» She has stopped making eye contact with is at this point. Our crostini was good, my Caprese salad was good but came with onions after I requested none– with no offer to remake it. My husband’s strawberry dressing was great, the balsamic dressing on my friend’s salad was loaded with garlic. I love garlic, I can eat a bulb roasted myself… this was raw and overpowering. I ordered veggie pasta with no sauce, I am of little faith it will come as ordered. Time will tell… lots and lots of time from now… Update: pasta arrived, no pesto but loaded with sauce. My husband only got one chicken breast, menu said 2. At this point nothing is being sent back because our room check out tomorrow is 11 am. Avoid. Update: pasta came without pesto, but dripping with white wine sauce. After food arrived we never saw server again, not even to give us our check. My husband had to go inside to track down the bill to pay. We went to the Huckleberry Gift shop down the street, shopped, walked around, and when we came back to the car, our table still hasn’t been cleared and 3 more parties had been seated out there… I still regret not warning them, they might still be waiting for their food.

This is undoubtably the worse dining experience I have ever had. Our server was the worst — I asked for the bistro burger medium rare. I got a well done burger with cold fries — our server didn’t care, didn’t even ask how our meals were. I didn’t want to stay at the restaurant longer than necessary — I asked for the bill — I got a TOTAL — no detail, I asked for a detail — it took another 10 minutes and I couldn’t read it. Do yourself a favor don’t visit this restaurant

Couple of vegetarian options available here. We had artichoke dip and vegetarian pesto pasta. Both items were great. Their soups have meat in them(the staff did mention about it while ordering).

The food is not very bad. But I give one star not for food but for ‘integrity’. They charged us tip without letting us know. They use iPad app to checkout and there are tip options while tip is already included. We paid double tip(btw the service is bad and very slow). After eating in another restaurant, the server told us most restaurants here includes the tip in the bill so we don’t have to pay. Tourists, plz, AVOID this restaurant. I actually went back and asked them to remind tourists about the tip. They said ok without any apologize.

The google rating is 4.8 and this is nonsense. We have 8 people and when we ask for separating checks, the waitress said no and the reason is because she want more tips. What a NONSENSE. When I use credit card to pay, something wrong with the machine or card and the waitress blame on me. Also the steak is burned and my friend ask mid-well and they give burn. We talk to waitress and she just trying to find excuse. She was just blame on the customer. Please do not go there for your own good.

Wow! Has this place gone down hill in a hurry! We’ve been coming here 3 – 4 times a year and the for last few visits, while usually a solid 3 stars, were nothing compared to this last time. From the service to the food, just awful. I had the«rib eye steak»(quotes intentional) and my wife had the duck breast. Both were tough and under-cooked and served below room temperature, but not a s cold as the vegetables which were nearly as cold as it was outside(5 degrees Fahrenheit). When I alerted the waitress to the temperature of the food she said«I’ve made an adjustment to your bill…» which turned out to be a whopping ten percent, and no apology. Places to to dine can be tough in this town, especially during the holidays, but while this place was an alternative in the past it won’t be an option in the future. New owners? New chef? Who knows? AVOID!

Another surprisingly delicious meal in a small touristy town.(The other was the Madison Crossing Lounge). Creamy potato soup, salad with nice homemade balsamic vinaigrette were both good starters. We were happy with the butternut squash ravolli and a beautiful plated chicken dish. Everything was very fresh and lovely. As we were the only guests in the beginning, we felt like we were dining in someone’s home. Lava cake is not to be missed, the best I have ever had.

It’s so hard to decide on number of stars. Compared to what? But I will say we have been here twice and the meals were very good. It’s a tiny place. Service was good not great. Hubby had the baseball swelling and was very happy. We started with Thai calamari and it was good. Needed a little salt but sauce made up for it. I had panang and it was good. Wine was good. Salad comes with meals and it was good. I think it was a good value and I would guess it is better than most in the area I would eat here again

Just yes. This restaurant is in an unassuming little place in West Yellowstone. We stopped there after a long, wonderful day in the park, and were blown away by their amazing food and lovely service. Wine, trout, quail, caprese, and so much more… Just go.

Had dinner here last night. We sat outside(tip: seat yourself! No need to wait for a hostess on the patio). The server was prompt and cheerful despite being responsible for the entire patio area(10 – 12 tables). She had support from other servers who brought out water, salads, etc. The food was fine(not great, but fine) — this is West Yellowstone, not Paris. I find it amusing that all the restaurants here serve a wide variety of foods despite being classified as «French» «Chinese» etc. We had the trout, elk medallions, seafood pasta, chicken curry and the kids had pasta with butter and Parmesan. Wine selection was actually pretty decent. My husband was disappointed that there wasn’t a full bar, but he lived through it. It was definitely a step up from the other places we’ve eaten in town, so I gave it four stars. I’d definitely recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice — it was really fun to watch people walk by. We enjoyed it.

We spent our days near Yellowstone struggling to find a truly good meal. We had resorted to eating at the lodge dining rooms to obtain fresh and well prepared food. Then we walked down the street and found Serenity Bistro. My husbands comment said it all. «An Oasis in my desert of despair». We had the pesto pasta, the ribeye, and the pan seared chicken. All were excellent. The only concern is the small size so get here early if you want a seat!

Terrible service, I ordered the ribeye it was cooked properly however the piece of meat had so much fat and grisle it was not worth $ 29.00

I came here for a decent meal after reacting with horror at the W Yellowstone dining options. Reviews were positive and indicated that this is the best place in Town. Based on my one experience I either chose an off night or the reviewers have never had a decent restaurant meal. My pear and walnut salad consisted of a handful of mesclun mix topped with pear slices so green they were hard and inedible. The dressing and walnuts were fine but why plum tomatoes were on this plate is a mystery to me. The seafood Alfredo pasta was covered with a thin, milky sauce that was anything but Alfredo sauce. The seafood appeared to be from small frozen shrimp and bay scallops. No fish, crab or anything else. And no detectable Parmesan. On a positive note the young women servers were pleasant, if untrained for their job, and the house offers a decent selection of wines.

My wife had the Vegetable Pesto Pasta and said it was 5 stars. Her meal looked like a magical winter scene with green fields of pesto and snow covered tree tops of cheese! My sister-in-law, fellow vegan, and I had the chef’s special Vegetables Stuffed Tomato with a Tomato Carrot Compote. It was a very unique dish and a much welcome change from whatever pasta primavera most chefs are willing to throw together. The dish had two tasty morel mushrooms on the top that were a little chewy but still good. Great place for an adventurous meal so 5 stars. Buon appetito!
