The café is kind of at the back side of this gift shop but does have a great ambience! Coffee was great and the giant cookies looked tempting. The small town feel was apparent but it’s a great chill out spot if you’re on a vacation(of course you will be at West Yellowstone).

For the coffee shop: Great scones and coffee. Though it is located in a book store it’s open early so you can hit it on the way to the park.

I would come back. As for the espresso drinks, they are pretty good, though a bit sweet; a hot huckleberry mocha /no whip and a carmel frappé w/whip. I would love to see them pursue microfoam rather than steaming the chocolate in the milk.

This is such a wonderful place! We’ve been Unilocaling the best coffee shops in each new town on our roadtrip. This came up as one of the highest rated cafes and I am SO glad we came! The espresso is insanely smooth. We ordered americanos both hot and iced and they were both amazing. I don’t know how they make their scones so good too! We tried the blueberry one and it was crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, and the blueberries exploded with juiciness– so delicious! Also, their Skinny Cowgirl breakfast wrap is fantastic too! Everything we ordered was memorable. This is a «Must-Go» café in West Yellowstone for sure.

We came by here on our way to Yellowstone Park. The café in the back of the store sold hot soups, cookies, scones, muffins, and coffees, blended iced coffee drinks, teas, and much more. The ladies working that morning were very friendly. Their oatmeal pecan cookie is one of the best cookies I have ever tasted, and it’s also the size of one of my butt cheeks. Free street parking.

Such a quaint little shop tucked into the heart on downtown West Yellowstone. I love how they have a little espresso counter in the back corner. We stopped in and got a coffee and a delicious caramel cupcake. They do require a minimum of $ 5 for a debit card, but who doesn’t these days? The book selection is great and they have a lot of unique offerings. Just one bathroom and since most of the shops in the area don’t offer public bathrooms, there was a line up every time we stopped in. Stop into the Book Peddler for a tasty treat from the espresso bar or a great book!

The coffee was amazing. The bro-ista was 13 or 14 so I was nervous. The cappuccino was perfect. Perfect foam and perfect espresso. That kid must have trained in Italy or Seattle.

I would never recommend this place to a friend. The coffee was old. It did not taste good. Ripoff. Bought two coffees in a mug and had a free refill. Had to pack them to-go and they made me pay extra for the plastic cup! You have to pay for the books in order to take them to the coffee shop.

I enjoyed my visit to The Book Peddler very much. I went in for espresso drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere and the local flair very much. My almond milk lattes were very good and made with love. My wife’s Americanos were very satisfying to her as well. The scone was a tasty treat as well. There was a stellar selection of books for a small book store and the staff was friendly. We enjoyed The Book Peddler’s drink so much that we hit them up on our return visit as well and even bought a book for the little one. If you are in West Yellowstone and need a coffee this is the spot.

Small, comfortable book store with a modest but pointed selection of new books. It this place is more than just a book store! It has Yellowstone souvenirs and guide books. Also. It has a wonderful little café with free wifi and organic coffee with one free in-house refill as well as half price, day old baked goods(!). A great place to wake up before your excursion to Yellowstone Park!

This place is the most friendly place I have visited in Montana so far(and most places have been really nice). The owner is so generous, and everything is good there: from the warm soup on a cold day to the frappuccino(so good that I even had two, even tough it’s winter)… My dad asked for one cookie, and the owner just gave us a sample of all the flavors she had! I’ll definitely come back and recommend this place!

Nestled in among a strip of stores, it would be easy to miss this fantastic spot for coffee and scones. Easily the best coffee(espresso, lattes, teas) in West Yellowstone. They also have a great selection of scones and muffins. The scones are some of the best I’ve ever had — must be buttermilk to make them so moist and yummy. Note: it’s located inside the bookstore in the back.

I always love an independent bookstore, and this place was no exception. Really fantastic selection of books having to do with the local area(Yellowstone, local animals, etc).

This place has new ownership and I really like what they have done with it. They stock little critter books which my 5 year old was happy about! I had a frape and it was very good. The bad part is you can not use debit in the café unless it is over $ 5.00. My drink came to $ 4.75 so I had to buy a huckleberry scone. Having to buy was a blessing in disguise because it was pretty good! This store is charming and local:)

The coffee was really good. And for anyone interested in seriously high quality ceramics: they serve their baked goodies on Heath! This was a nice little surprise and departure from the usual moose-themed plates/cups found in MT/WY/ID. No disrespect to mooseware, it’s just not Heath. Back to the coffee. You’ll find a good solid cup of dark roast espresso at the Book Peddler Café. And the ladies running the show are really nice, too.

The good: very nice employee and the inside has interesting stuff off sale. Drinks were reasonably priced. The bad: Really bad lattes. We had a vanilla soy and a regular. Both had no crème at all and they espresso was almost non existent. Tasted like dirty hot milk. Sorry.
