this is one of my favorite deli’s ever! found them by mistake today. used them often when they where on the back bay… suddenly they where gone, and now suddenly i found them today? dough boy in westbrook. the best sands ever! and they even remembered me! too sweet. will be going out of my way often to scarf up a veggie sub, they are the best…

Delish veggie italian with extra Greek olives every time. They have super fresh produce, and a really really great veggie wrap which they put artichoke and roasted reds in! Love this place :) ps, the rolls are SO good.

Went back and got the wings hot… which made the sub really soggy since the wings were just doused in Franks Red Hot sauce. I would not get that option again… stick with the mild!

This place gets 5 stars from me for a few reasons. It’s on Bridge St. for starters which is an awesome location for a deli right in the heart of Westbrook. Plenty of parking outside usually. But lets get down to it… the food is awesome! Fantastic prices for yummy food makes everyone’s day better. Plenty of seating inside and even a t.v. Staff is über friendly too so if you are bored they will probably chat it up with you for a few minutes :-)
even the little things, bottle recycling and trash right in sight when you are finished and the back outside to hear that waterfall outside. shoot maybe you could go back for dinner before 3 am or for a breakfast sandwich in the morning?

A++. This deli opened in Januray 2011, taking over the old space where the Riverfront sandwich shop used to be located. The owners of this deli did an excellent job with the renovation and the space is now clean and brightly decorated. Very nice!
I have eaten at Doughboy’s several times since they opened and the food is great tasting and affordable. Just $ 4.00 for a large ham italian! I also enjoyed the haddock tenders and the clam cakes. Both tasted fresh and were not just some second-​rate Sysco product.
If you are in the area, definitely give this place a try! You won’t regret it!
