Great place for dinner if you have unlimited time and enjoy dealing with incompetent wait staff. Food was good but service was disorganized and very slow. If they survive the next few months we’ll give it another chance.

Absolutely off the chart delicious food! Mediterranean style seafood dishes that are creative, beautifully presented and outstanding in flavor. The portions were generous and the Bellone family hospitality is first class. This is a comfortable relaxed atmosphere yet a classy dining experience. I cannot wait to return, and will do so often. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

We went here because we saw good reviews when searching for a place to eat outside on the water. The restaurant was a bit dated but nice and the outdoor seating on the water was really lovely. I saw really good reviews for their Italian food so I decided to get chicken parmigiana, huge mistake. It was way over priced and just not good at all. The quality of the ingredients were mediocre, at best. It was cold so I sent it back to be warmed up, came back with a hot plate, still cold food and now dry pasta. I gave it 3 stars because my boyfriend got a salmon risotto & veggie dish that he liked. It was good but not worth 28 dollars. Additionally, the service was pretty poor. We had a waitress that never ended up putting our drink order in, after 15 minutes or so we had a new waitress and started over. Bottom line is that we paid way too much for a disappointing meal and experience. The view was really the only positive.

Atlantic Ave has a relative shortage of good places for a nice dinner, and Maria’s is one of those select few. The food doesn’t disappoint, though I always find myself struggling to pick something out to eat. Nothing is bad per se, it just doesn’t appeal. The restaurant has ample outdoor seating, and is walking distance from many of the seaside resorts in the area, which is definitely a plus.

Great food! Terrible service! Went three times, there were big problems each time. One time no server(or anyone else acknowledged) us in 20 minutes, another time prompt greeting but bar drinks came after apps. Third time long time for food and mistakes made, no offer to rectify mistakes. I know places get busy, acknowledge that the drinks are running long and bring me a water, or have the host or bus staff offer to grab a server when we’re sitting there with no drinks bread etc for 20 minutes. It seems they hope you’re there for vacation and they don’t rely on repeat customers

Awesome meal. Hubbby and I had the seared scallops, fish and chips, and shared tiramisu. Yum-o. Only thing missing is the view of the ocean.

I think this is a great spot if you’re on the beach looking for a nice meal. It’s way more tranquil than some of the other joints on the strip(although when it’s busy it is pretty hectic) and the food is just a notch or so up from the other spots. I’ve had pasta, steaks and fish here and all were excellent. The service is usually pretty good, although I’ve had some off nights. Overall, I’d say that this is a great seaside restaurant if you’re already in Misquamicut but it might not be someplace I would travel to if I was somewhere else.

Imaginative menu. Not heavy on the typical pasta dishes you see at many Italian restaurants. Portions are generous Lobster Pizza was more than enough appetizer for four people. It is pricey, but goes a long way. Attentive service.

Maria’s is a wonderful American-Italian restaurant located directly on Misquamicut beach. It has amazing views from the 2nd and 3rd floor suites, and the first floor is steps away from the sand. The staff are extremely attentive and professional. The food is fresh, well-seasoned, and hearty. For the type of restaurant that Maria’s is, the food is high quality and worth every penny. By the way, if you are looking for authentic Italian food, you should shut up and go to Italy. This is America. It’s time we embrace this type of cuisine and stop comparing it to the food in a country across the Atlantic. In conclusion: at Maria’s you will find high quality, Italian-inspired or American-Italian cuisine, with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Maria’s is top-notch. End of discussion. I will consider updating with a five star rating after my next meal there.

Hoping to have highly recommended lobster pizza. Server and hostess both told us we cannot have pizza at the outside dining area, even if we ordered other dinner entrees. We must sit at the bar to have pizza. Sorry we dont want to sit at the bar. We want to sit outside in the nice evening air, on the patio at 8:30pm which was at 20% capacity. Guess they don’t want people eating steak and pasta sitting next to people eating lowly lobster pizza.

The food and service are top knotch. The olive oil they use is the best you will ever have. Imported straight from Italy. The portions aren’t huge but are plentiful enough and the quality is there. I got the rigatoni with vodka sauce and chicken which was very good.

I’m not to keen on Italian dining since my mother is Italian, and I can enjoy Italian cooking any time I desire. However, last night I decided on italian, and was disappointed. the inside of the restaurant was decorated really nice, and the lighting and the music made me feel like I was in an authentic italian restaurant. There seemed to be a lot of people at the bar, and they all seemed to be enjoying themselves, but we decided to get a table since there was one available. When I first looked at the menu I was a little shocked to see that going rate of a meal was somewhere from 15 to 30 dollars, and I thought that the food must be really good, or the portion sizes might be on the larger side, but instead I was given mediocre tasting food, and not a lot of it. The service didn’t suck but it wasn’t the greatest either I always seemed to find my cup empty, and having to ask for more water, but they were courteous, and friendly. The food it’s self was presented really nice, on modern plates, and it looked like the chef put a lot of effort into how it was presented, and if the food was grossly over priced I might have rated this place 4 stars.

I took two out of town guests here for dinner and felt that I made a poor choice. Our dinners were mediocre and over priced. There are other restaurants with better food in Westerly.
