Great food. Best cheese pizza I’ve had as the cheese is always fresh ground with added herbs and spices. On Tuesdays you can get large cheese pizzas for $ 5.99ea, makes dinner a no-brainer. And the pizza is just as good cold so order a lot.

Pizza for the kids! Great deals and delivery. Old school crust and lots of cheese. Great taste and value… Real pizza like when you were a kid before these no-sauce veggie or clam pies came out!

Outstanding pizza. Nachos are unbelievable as well. I have not tried anything else yet but what I have had so far has been just amazing! Fair prices, fast service, local delivery… can’t ask for anything more. With so many pizza places in town, this is among the best. Definitely recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is amazing. I feel like I’m 11 everytime I come here. The pizza is rich — it’s buttery and cheesy and so outstanding. It’s NOT at all the NYC pizza I’m used to but it’s so good it makes me less homesick. The local atmosphere is really great — the staff is very kind and helpful. Go on Tuesday for the best deals!

All I’ve had from Mario’s is the pizza & boneless chicken wings. They both are greasy but good. Not the best but good. The pizza is doughy with copious amounts of cheese & sauce. And grease. The offer a separate game room which can be rented out for private parties. The 2 times I have gone has been for parties & we even held one there. They have a teenager help out with food & another with the games. The machines are a bit dated but enough for a children’s birthday party. Mario’s isn’t fancy & I haven’t had much of their food but it’s definitely worth checking our for a quick pie or even for a party if you’re interested.

Being that this is the closest pizzeria to us we order from here pretty frequently. The pizza is good. I would say the crust is the best crust I’ve ever had AND I’m from New York. The pizza is very greasy but it think its because of higher quality cheese. Our favorite is the soupy/suppi pizza. Its not dried up sliced suppi. Its from a suppi ball… think Italian sausage w/o the casing. The rundown : Suppi pizza 10⁄10 Cheese pizza 8⁄10 Other food 1⁄10

First time dining at Mario’s. I was expecting great food, since I had heard the steak and cheese grinder was good. We ordered the antipasto to start, here’s what we got: chopped room-temperature iceberg lettuce in a bowl with two slices of tomato, four flavorless pepperoncinis, some cooked salami which tasted like bologna and definitely didn’t look fresh, and a few slices of provolone cheese(which incidentally wasn’t terrible). Did I mention that this was $ 10.50? For lunch, my friend ordered the chicken parmesan, hoping to try some authentic Italian marinara. What he received was two small, overcooked chicken cutlets that tasted like old french fry grease. It had a good portion of pasta on the side, but the sauce tasted like it was dumped right out of a can and heated up. I ordered the«Steak and cheese grinder,» and the vapid but nice waitress asked if I wanted it toasted? I’m not sure what that means – (I come from the Philadelphia area, and am used to cheese-steaks) – but I said toasted. What came out was surprising, to say the least: a dry, burnt roll with what appeared to be ground sausage with a glob of tasteless cheese on top. Awful. What is most surprising to me was that even the garlic bread was bad. How can one possibly screw up garlic bread? It was absolutely tasteless, unless you account for the burnt flavor, and I am still not entirely sure how this was accomplished. This food is awful, and it is clear that the owners of this business do not care. This place is tucked away from the beaten path, and if it wasn’t for the friendly waitress, I could confidently say that I will never darken the doorstep of Mario’s again. Although, everyone deserves a second chance, no? To sum up: a salad, a burnt, greasy chicken cutlet, sub-par cheese-steak, diet coke and a water = $ 40.00? Awesome Mario’s experience = Priceless. Do owners ever taste what they serve?

Mario’s does have a pretty large menu with choices for just about any kind of appetite. Pizza, burgers, salads, soup, wraps, grinders, and honestly most stuff in between. The pizza is OK, usually way to greasy and you have to sop up the extra grease with napkins. The crust is good, crisp yet soft in the middle and has good flavor. My husband loves the Soupy pizza and so do his friends, I was not at all impressed. If their pepperoni is greasy imagine the Soupy… ugh! It’s chunks of Soupy that resemble sausage, not the good thin sliced Soupy that we are all used to. As for anything else on the menu, save your time. Every time I’ve ever ordered takeout from them it’s just not good. Grinders are a no go. I ordered an Italian, it was skimpy and seemed to me that the meat was rancid. My sister didn’t think it was rancid but either way it was enough to put me off. The chicken cutlet is made with processed chicken patties, yuck. Their salads are over priced for a basic and unimpressive salad, though they are quite large, just nothing special. Just as their salads are over priced so is everything else, it’s $ 9.50 for a 4 potato skins appetizer. Just about every other app on the menu is the same price; Poppers 6 of them for $ 9 and change. Their plain pizza isn’t too bad in price but still not worth what it costs. They do deliver and that’s a plus, your choices for delivery pizza in Westerly are limited.

I have been going to Mario’s for over 10 years and their food is always awesome! My particular favorite is the fish and chips. The batter is light and crispy, not thick like a lot of places. They also give you a HUGE portion, I usually order the kid’s size and still can’t finish it. Their calzones, pizza and grinders are also great!

Although I live part-time in Westerly, I haven’t been to Mario’s in several years. In fact, I think they even changed names 4 – 5 years ago, but who can remember that far back. We went to Mario’s on a Saturday evening well after the dinner hour. The dining room hasn’t changed much(2 stars — don’t expect fine dining). But we were delighted with the food. I had a calzone totally unlike what I usually experience in the Boston area. And my companion had a very interesting dish — locally made sausage with potatoes in a red sauce. The portion size was huge. We split the calzone and took the sausage and potatoes home for another day. Not your typical bread and rolls before dinner, but a rolled out, saucer-sized piece of dough baked and topped with fennel seeds. It took a little time to get our dinner, nothing extraordinary, but they took their time to prepare it. And it showed. Can’t wait to go back. Good family restaurant.
