The Original Famous Pizza

We ordered delivery last night and experienced some positives as well as some negatives. I tried their online ordering and after entering my order 5 times I finally picked up the phone to place the order. While on the phone to place my order I was put on hold not once but twice — I was only ordering two items!
After being told our food would be delivered «shortly», we waited for well over an hour for it to come.
The pizza was ok, but the crust was pretty thick for my taste (when you pick up a slice it sticks straight out in the air without bending). The flavors of the toppings was however very good — the sausage was flavorful and the eggplant was well cooked and seasoned.
The meatball grinder was huge — especially for the price. I found too many breadcrumbs in the meatballs for my taste, and they had a pretty overwhelming flavor of oregano. But if you’re looking for something inexpensive and filling, look no farther. (And if you’re an oregano lover, then score!)
Overall, I thought the prices were very reasonable and the taste of the food was good enough for an inexpensive delivery option… although, I would recommend planning ahead and not waiting until you’re starving to place your order.

Don’t ever order delivery. Ordered it two hours later still hadn’t shown up. They need to get more drivers or something. Their in restaurant service is great that is the only redeeming quality I can share

My friend and I ordered a large Sicilian pizza to be delivered the other day. I checked in using my Unilocal app and I received a 20% off coupon. This was the deciding factor in choosing where to order from. Looking at the menu the price for our pizza was $ 10.95 plus a $ 2 delivery charge. I informed informed the woman on the phone of the 20% off deal. However when I asked for our total it came to $ 13. Clearly she didn’t apply our 20% discount. Unfortunately I was working so I really didn’t have time to call back and figure the situation out. The woman on the phone said our food would arrive in 30 minutes. Since we called relatively early and not during a rush hour I assumed our food would arrive in less than 45 mins. This was not the case. After nearly 90 minutes I called to make sure yet another mistake had not been made. I was informed that our pizza would be arriving any minute, and it did.
The pizza itself was very good, the dough was only slightly under proofed. I’d say 9 out of 10 on the pie overall. It was delicious. It also came with coupons and specials taped to the box. I will most likely be getting food here again but not until I’ve tried the rest of Westerly’s many pizza places. Definitely will not get it delivered and I will also try to get the 20% off that I should have gotten on my next order.

I recently visited Westerly beaches and needed to stop and grab lunch on the way home. There was a groupon available so I purchased it and ordered ahead for take out. The place itself is smallish and we didn’t dine in so I’m nit sure how the dining area was. There’s only a few spots to park but also parking on the street. The pizza was really good. I ordered half cheese, half onions, peppers and mushrooms. It tasted really fresh and not greasy at all. The breadsticks were bland though. The owner and staff is really nice. He gave me a coupon to go back. I’ll definitely be back after the next beach trip.
