The food here is incredible, really. A little pricey, but local and delicious. I have recommended this place to anyone I know in the Westerly area and have taken friends here — I’d say I ate here about once every two weeks. My last visit to this restaurant on 2÷18÷16 changed my mind and made me wish I could take back all of my recommendations. The customer service was mortifying, and I do not plan on ever going back. My fiancé and I went here around 7pm for dinner to celebrate a belated Valentine’s Day, as this is(was) my favorite place in the area to eat. This restaurant is very small, but only about half of the tables were filled, so it was not busy. Walking in, the waitress told us we could sit where we wanted… and this was the first and only time the waitress spoke to us in 26 minutes. We were not brought menus, drinks, anything within that time period despite being directly across from the main desk/kitchen area and in full sight of all the employees. A large group of patrons arrived for a «reserved» table about 10 minutes after we arrived and the waitress went directly over to them(passing our table right next to theirs) brought them water and menus, and chatted with them. She then walked past our table again, and nothing. After about 15 minutes my fiancé walked up and took menus from the counter/desk and sat back down so we could at least know what we wanted prior to the waitress coming over. I watched her bring food and wait on the tables that were seated before us without saying once that she would be with us or apologize for the wait. I would have absolutely waited if our presence was acknowledged in any way, and continued to recommend this restaurant. However, this was absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received at any restaurant — minus one time at a diner around 3am(but even then, I was waited on shortly upon arrival). I would almost say that this experience was embarrassing for me — being ignored at a restaurant despite sitting in plain site in front of the main desk is not a good feeling. After 26 minutes of literally being ignored, we left Noodle Revolution and tried a new-to-us restaurant that luckily had fantastic customer service and incredible Thai food.

WOW! Totally exceeded our expectations! Got street taco and charred beef salad apps. Both were on point favors and plating. I got spicy beef noodle bowl(not broth) and my wife got Tom yam with ramen. Crazy good!!! Chef/Owner is a super nice girl from Thailand. The night we went she was cooking and waiting tables. Another great, unpretentious spot that needs to be talked about!

Noodle Revolution has motivated me to actually create a Unilocal login so that I can write a review extolling the excellence of this restaurant. It’s rare that I am in a restaurant that I am actually happy to be in… a place I want to stay and relax and hang out in. Well, this is that. It exudes modesty– which is usually something that really good restaurants are loathe to do. No, «really good» restaurants want to drown you in their culinary hipness, often with chic, big-city indifference. This is home cookin’, Southeast Asian style, in a corner store soda-fountain-with-a-counter atmosphere. It is sparsely decorated, and that’s beautiful, because the wainscoting and plate glass storefront windows are far nicer than velvet paintings of Bangkok at night.(Well, that might not be a bad addition in the center of big white wall…) The owner and her entourage are just regular, real, friendly and hard-working. There are no airs put on, no intrusions by waitstaff(«How’s that tasting???» «Are you still WORKING on that?»), and there ARE genuine smiles. In fact, these people are clearly not treated as «staff.» As to the items on the menu– so far, triples and home runs. Thai Charred Beef Salad is a given. You cannot avoid it. It’s potent. It’s fresh. Experience it. We had veggie dumplings, pan-fried… light and seemingly grease-less. I could have easily swallowed down another plate, not for being a stingy portion(6 is fine), but because they were floating off the plate and diving into my gullet. Those are two among the SMALLPLATES– the others are surprisingly non-Asian, and they all look great. There’s also Tacos and a Burger– I’m guessing they’re great, too, but that’s not what I want from Noodle Revolution. The Beef Phở broth is exceptional; it’s a simple bowl, sparsely furnished. It’s about the broth and the noodle. Tom Yum was also excellent– we had the seafood combo– it’s a fuller meal, with a great shot of chili that leaves you in a full sweat, between the broth and seasoning. Of the noodle bowls, we’ve thus far had the Drunken. My past experience with this has been broad, greasy, over-sweetened noodles. This is much lighter, more thoughtful version, and plenty enough to eat. For the Italian friends of Westerly, there’s a line of pasta dishes– again, not what I came for… Finally, the rice bowl dishes are also exceptional– we had Thai Basil Beef over Rice– again, not greasy. Perhaps a little more vegetable presence in it would be nice with all that rice, but still, thoroughly delicious. This establishment is in a funny location… at the northern edge of Westerly, where hwy 91 runs into town. The street parking seems legal, but the white lines edging the road make a swath that’s pretty narrow for a car, especially if there’s a snow bank. But go ahead, park there! Also, bring your own beverage– you don’t want to chow down on spicy noodles without a good clean beer rinse! As to price: I would call this«moderate.» And worth every penny. I am willing to pay for this kind of quality, and it reinforces in me my feeling that there’s so much out there that’s NOT worth paying for. Come here! Eat here! LIVE here! There: my first ever restaurant review.

Go there NOW! We went to Noodle Revolution last night for Valentines day dinner, despite the freezing cold! The restaurant was not busy, so we were able to enjoy our dinners, and we also had a chance to meet the owner at the end of the night. We started with fried dumplings– incredible! They were delicate, not oily, or excessively thick dough. We then had the Charred Beef salad which was truly one of the best foods I have ever eaten… Sliced beef is grilled and served on greens after being tossed in a vinaigrette that defies description! Then came the Tom yum ramen with Seafood. Delicate flavors with a hardy broth that was quite filling and will warm even on a bitter cold night. Lastly we tried Drunken Rice Pot with Chicken. The rice was not greasy — which why I usually avoid fried rice dishes– it was lightly flavored with lemon and spices, and served with bok choy and other vegetables. We finished off with Coconut ice cream– We then met the owner who is talented, welcoming and truly loves that so many people are enjoying her restaurant! YOU Will LOVEIT!!!

I really really loved the food! The charred beef salad tastes like nothing I’ve ever tasted, sweet, sour, salty, spicy beefy and green all perfectly balanced. The pan fried chicken dumplings were bite sized and delicious, they came 12 to an order. I ordered the tom yum soup with ramen and a medium rare version of spicy it came out perfect, just a little bit of kick. My boyfriend got the build your own noodle bowl, you choose your noodle, sauce protein, and level of spicy. No complaints there! The Thai iced tea was served in two bottles, one for the cream, one for the tea and you pour it yourself at the table. First time I’ve seen it served that way, it was cool. Even though the dinning room was small it was full. There was only one server, he could have used a second hand, but was still personable and polite every time he came to the table. We will be back.

they were training cooks tonight, so it took some time for everything, but that was no hindrance to the quality of our meal and it was so worth the wait. every dish was well-prepared, total attention to detail: perfectly cooked everything, flavors so wonderful, portions were just right for everyone at our table, and lovely presentation. the price of each dish feels commensurate with such excellent quality. we’re so happy noodle revolution decided to land in westerly … delicious + fresh food! also vegetarian-friendly, which is a big plus for lots of people. thank you thank you thank you. a couple of months later … have been here several times since december … and seriously, the nights when kate, the owner is around, all the food is spot-on and very very deftly prepared. times i’ve been here when she wasn’t working, well, the food was pretty good, but not as completely stellar as when she is. it must be a difficult thing to find people to work for you who have the same high standards for food preparation and service when you really know what you’re doing and how to pull it off. excellent service this evening from a young man who was attentive and enthusiastic without overdoing any of it. keep up the good work, kate and crew. we love what you do, and you do it so well!

Outstanding culinary adventure. Westerly needed a place like this. We’re stupid for not going sooner. Menu was so eclectic, from Taco’s to Thai Basil Beef to Vietnamese Phở. For appetizers, we had the pan fried chicken dumplings which were adorable and big sized and an appetizer special, pork belly(!!!) bao, which I hope becomes a staple because it was– Wowza. Dinner we both had drunken noodles(mine with sliced chicken, his beef) finished with fried ice cream. Yes we like to eat. Can’t wait to go again. By far our favorite new spot, haven’t eaten at a place like this since my New Haven days. And it’s BYOB which is cool. The owner, we didn’t get her name, but was super sweet and attentive.

This is a small, out of the way, BYOB restaurant specializing in — you guessed it — noodles. Mostly of the Thai variety, but you’ll find a wide assortment on the menu, with many daily specials. What sets it apart is the taste and quality of the food. Everything I have tried has been fresh and delicious. The menu is tricky to navigate but the servers are very helpful and focused on your experience. Parking can be tricky at times but don’t let that stop you.

New favorite Asian place in Westerly… mostly Thai but they dabble with it all… we had a mean shrimp Ramen(so hot, spicy and smokey). charred beef salad was amazing and glad i went with other reviewer’s suggestion and got the sticky stuff on the side… D-LISH!!! Mixed seafood thai rice was also impressive… BTW… we got everything to the hottest level and they let it us have it! Something amazing about Thai spice in that it doesn’t really hurt, tastes amazing and makes my neck sweat! This place has zero ambiance but that’s part of the charm… don’t expect to order a bev… this place is BYO. the place is literally a old house with an open kitchen and it’s like sitting in their living room. Last. must try the Thai Iced Tea… by far the best I have ever had. it is served in a huge bottle, ice and milk on the side.

Incredible flavors from start to finish. The pan fried chicken dumplings and the charred beef salad to start were both delicious. We then followed it up with the beef phở and the drunken noodles. We enjoyed it so much, we can’t wait to go back!

Awesome lunch place with rice bowls, noodle bowls, noodle soup, dumplings, chicken wings… I need to go back to taste more of the menu. We tried the Thai beef salad which had mint leaves, sesame seeds, grilled steak with tons of flavor, the Thai beef rice bowl which was also super flavorful with ground beef, basil and a fried egg(And I added veggies to it which I highly recommend to break up the meat and rice with some fiber :)) and the Tom Yum Ramen which was just a straightforward noodle soup but my favorite of the three because it was SO flavorful with perfectly cooked ramen. They started us off with one complementary dumpling and spring roll for each person, which were both delicious and a nice way to try both apps for free. The server was friendly, though they could use a second person to speed things up. The food took awhile to come out because there was only one chef. And the décor was confusing, with the feel of a cheap Italian lunch spot which didn’t match the fun, modern menu or the unique Thai fusion food. Also a little odd that you can put spaghetti, linguini or fettuccini into your Asian noodle bowl, but then again maybe it’s better than I think. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the area… gotta try the sweet chili chicken wings!

Returned again tonight for dinner, this time with my son who wanted to try Noodle Revolution after hearing how my wife and I enjoyed it. They did not disappoint, and I enjoyed my meal tonight as well as, if not more than I did the other night. We started out with pan fried chicken dumplings with a side of delicious kim chee. There were 12 bite sized dumplings, pan fried and steamed. In addition to the kim chee, the dumplings came with a sesame soy sauce. very tasty. My son had the noodle bowl with chicken and flat rice stick noodles and the black noodle sauce. He loved it. I had the Tom Yum ramen. I’m second generation Japanese so I have an expectation for what ramen usually is. I was delighted to see this Thai version of ramen. The broth was amazing, full of a myriad of Thai seasoning including lemongrass, cilantro and chili. Just the right amount of heat. The ramen noodles were cooked to a perfect al dente texture and the bowl included four nice sized cooked shrimp and veggies. Simply delicious. Great service from owner Kate and her son Shiloh. Kudos to the kitchen staff who prepare the wonderful dishes. I am somewhat disappointed that I am returning home to Honolulu in a few days. I will miss going to Noodle Revolution and trying the other selections on their menu. I highly recommend giving this new restaurant in Westerly a try.

I’ve been here twice already and both meals were delicious! My first time I had the tom yum ramen and tonight I had the wonton pad thai. The ramen was very good. The broth was delicious. The wanton pad thai had small crispy fried wonton’s, chicken, sprouts, cilantro and tofu and pad thai noodles. It was amazing. I will definitely be back here. The prices are on par with other places. $ 13 for both the ramen and the pad thai. They also have tacos, burgers, and pasta dishes. I haven’t tried those. The only problem with it is there isn’t any parking lot. You have to find a spot on the street somewhere. I hope they stay around for awhile.

I started out with the dumplings which were very good. I ordered a «black» rice bowl for my meal, it was outstanding. My dad had the drunken noodles which were perfectly spiced and flavorful. I would absolutely recommend anyone to try it out. Our waitress was so sweet and accommodating, she even left a note on our bill to come back again.

Today I stopped in at Noodle Revolution for a late lunch. It wasn’t my plan to stop here, but I heard the place had good reviews so I decided to confirm this. Noodle Revolution is upscale, but not pretentious. I had the Phở beef soup which is a Vietnamese dish I frequently eat in the Boston area. It was authentic and very tasty. The beef seemed very lean compared to what I usually eat. I had a very nice cup of jasmine tea with my meal. The tea was made in the very traditional Chinese way. The menu is electic… Thai, Cambodian(Khmer), Chinese and Japanese. I think I even saw an Italian dish of linguine with clams. Noodle Revolution is also a place to hangout. It has free WiFi and I believe hanging out is actually encouraged… sort of a Starbucks where you can enjoy a cup of tea and your favorite book at the same time. The staff is very friendly and appreciative of the business. The chef and owner(Kate) is originally from Thailand and she comes from a restaurant family. She explained to me that the menu was very carefully planned. I observed Kate greeting each diner on arrival and inspecting each meal before it left the kitchen. That’s certainly attention to detail. Overall, I am very impressed and I am also delighted we have a place like Noodle Revolution in Westerly. I plan to eat there over and over again. I wish them well.

This place is amazing! Caught word of this place from a chef friend of mine and went last night for the first time with four friends. When we walked in, we had to sit at the counter because every table was taken, it worked out though because it sat four. Its the old Oak St B & B location. Through conversation with our waiter, a young man, we found out his mother was the chef there and was previous owner/chef at Rice Spice Noodles in Mystic, CT and since changed ownership and now have opened Noodle Revolution. This place is so new they didn’t have anything on their all white walls yet and the owner told us that she didn’t expect to be so busy so soon and hadn’t had time to put any artwork up yet. The menu had many different options on it, I saw a taco and a burger and a number of other Thai based things on a menu that must have been 5 pages. To start, we shared two orders of fried chicken and cilantro dumpling. They were kind of on the smaller side but very good. We ordered two bottles of homemade Chai Tea which came with milk and 4 mugs with ice. Im sure some kind of alcohol will be available soon. For my main course I went with Drunken Rice Pot with Stonington Scallops, the rice pot was like the flavor of drunken noodles but rice instead, it had some peppers and Japanese broccoli, good hot but not overpowering spice and about 5 – 6 scallops in the mix. Anyway, this place great and I truly recommend it to everyone —
