It’s been a family tradition, going back to the 1960s of getting their chocolates, fudge and assorted edibles at this place. Everything is homemade and fresh, this place rivals Godiva. Sometimes it even surpasses Godiva. If only I could subsist on their truffles, melt-a-ways, fudge, etc.

Great little candy store in Watch Hill– has decent selection and prepackaged candy. The shop is small, so if there are a few families in there it can get pretty crowded.

This little nook of a candy shop is tucked around the corner on a busy row of shops in downtown Watch Hill. In fact, if you didn’t know it was there, you probably would NOT walk down the sidewalk adjacent to the public parking lot, bang a left and find it. It has a fine selection of chocolates, but did not have my favorite(dried apricots dipped in dark). I easily subbed in the candied ginger covered in dark chocolate and added in a dark chocolate salted caramel and a turtle. I was pleased with the smooth texture and not-too-sweet dark chocolate on the ginger. The caramel had a slight burnt sugar taste(which any good caramel should) with a beautiful coarse salty balance. The turtle was a bit of a disappointment. I am a turtle purist — I like pecans. This little pretty had walnuts. Just not the same, in my opinion. My dearest got some maple walnut fudge which he felt wasn’t sweet enough. I taste-tested. It was decent, but not great. My oldest son purchase the vanilla fudge. It was meh. I don’t think these choices are a good sampling — if you get fudge, shouldn’t it be of the chocolate variety? They weren’t bad, just not notable. My daughter and youngest son each got a new Pez dispenser(to add to the 37 that they already have) and I treated all three of the kids to their own personal pack of candy cigarettes. After a brief lecture on the hazards of smoking the real deal, they enjoyed their sugary, naughty treaty. A real throw back to my childhood when you actually«smoked» them(nibbled up the pure sugar stick) to be cool like your ‘rents. Now — not so much. But some good, clean politically INcorrect family fun. Their«penny» candy is pre-bagged and a tad pricey. I steered the kids away from the treat bags in favor of a single treat purchase of their choice. The service was friendly. Parking is free for two hours in the public lot so don’t drive around looking on-street. Overall, a pretty sweet find(I could not resist!).
