First time we were here we had a good experience with the group of 10+ people we were with on the patio. This time we were here with another couple so just 4 of us. I do not remember our waiter’s name but he had a great personality however the place was packed and management had him running here, there, and everywhere. There were 2 ball teams in there and they closed the patio because it was supposed to rain. We were there to see a band perform and was told they cancelled because of weather. It was about 10 mins before he took our drink order but about 30 mins to bring our waters we asked for when we ordered our regular drinks. We ordered food and waited 45 mins then informed our waiter we were going elsewhere. We told him it wasn’t him… he was running ragged helping everyone else and trying to take care of his tables. He said he completely understood and comped our drinks. We tried to offer him a tip for his troubles but he refused. He asked us to come back and we said we would. This was just an off night.

My wife and I used to frequent the Harry Buffalo when in it first opened, but over time with multiple menu and staff changes this place is not what it used to be. We went there on Sunday 5⁄15. As we entered we saw a sign instructing us to seat ourselves. We sat by the back garage doors/windows in between two other tables. A waitress was bringing one of the tables a beer. She did not acknowledge us as she walked away from the other table, but I figured another server would be around shortly. I must add the restaurant had very few other tables seated at the time. My wife saw the server sit down in front of a computer and shortly thereafter two others joined her and began having a conversation. We still had not received drinks or even a menu to peruse. As we were sitting two other groups walked in at which point we decided to leave after 13 minutes of waiting without any acknowledgement from the staff. We went to the Winking Lizard instead and are not planning on returning to the Harry Buffalo again. The main reason we decided to go there today was to try the new menu as their previous menu revision left much to be desired. I guess we will not if they’d made any improvements due to the complete lack of service. One of the main reasons we went there in the past was because their fries were amazing but they changed those from nicely seasoned straight cut fries to nasty, chewy and often times cold waffle fries. The boneless wings also suffered a similar fate and don’t hold a candle to Roosters or the Winking Lizard. My wife’s go to meal was removed from the menu. The poor service combined with a decline in food quality make this a place I would recommend skipping.

I have been here several times and the food is always decent and the service is good. Space is very large and the patio is great when the weather is nice. Although the food is decent, it doesn’t warrant the prices. I wish they offered more specials and happy hour-type pricing. Parking can be difficult on the weekends.

Great time before the Indians game, great Service even in a crowd of people. Definitely a group off professionals working there!

I have been to this restaurant several times now and now feel educated enough to formulate an opinion. I was very impressed with the interior. This is a large space and I feel it flows very well. The food has been good on each of my visits. My wife is a large fan of the henny chicken and I have to agree it’s quite good. I am not a huge fan of fried chicken(though technically this is done in a pressure cooker) but I enjoyed it. The truffle fries are delicious. The service is good, but not great. Service can be a bit slow at times and seems to be disorganized. I would say this is more an issue with the management than the wait staff. While they have a solid beer selection, trying to find out what that selection might be is not easy. The only place the draft selection is listed is on a large chalkboard on the wall, and even then they only list the breweries, not which type of beer they are pouring. Having this on a handout at each table would be very helpful. All in all we enjoy our visits here. Each time has been a good experience and the minor negatives were easily overlooked. Come and enjoy it when you have an ample amount of time. You won’t be disappointed.

My buddha bowl was delish! The kitchen accommodated the special request I had with my food. Our server was very nice and attentive. The bartenders kept up with our drinks and the acoustic entertainment was great. I LOVE coming here. Recommended highly!

We went with friends on a weekend night. There was hardly any parking, but it was almost empty inside. Side note about the parking lot, Watch out for potholes! There was no hostess when we walked inso we sat at the bar. Our bartender was incredibly rude, I was designated driver and asked for a water and she looked at me like I had 3 heads and didn’t bother even giving it to me. We ordered the buffalo chicken dip, which was greasy. When it was time to gothe bartender dropped our check on the counter and walked off. We asked to have our check split up, but was given such an attitude we paid the whole check and left. We will never Go back.

First time visiting here and it we won’t be back. The experience was a let down from start to finish. The greeter had an issue with our large group seating at two tables but never really explained why. She just had a bad attitude from the start. After eventually getting a waiter who managed to take some, but not all orders — I had to yell as he walked away without taking my order. I ordered boneless and half of them were undercooked! Nothing worse than uncooked chicken. Oh well, got to try new places. We just won’t be back.

This place is very clean and refreshed. Brett and Kelsey have been awesome here and always greet with the warmest of smiles. They always have the best games on the tv and everyone is friendly even the steeler fans surprisingly. Who dey! Haven’t been here for a Cbj game yet but once our winning streak hits up I will be. Professional and fun place for all ages and acquires any need you have. Quick trip to Easton too. Good beers!

Only go here if you want slow service and raw food! Been 3 times now, 1st time my chicken was raw but I believe in second chances and that mistakes happen. 2nd time my medium well burger came out rare… yes they fixed it both times but I had to wait longer for my food. 3rd time however tonight will be my last visit, again my medium well burger came out rare and the«general manager» try to convince me that it was cooked correctly(pretty sure it was not the GM unless they hired someone oblivious to the way food should be cooked) In every of my 3 visits something more than minor was an issue. I don’t see this place lasting very long.

Since I was nearby I stopped in to see if anything has changed. Still a nice upgrade from Gordy’s. Service was good mid-day, mid-week. I went with the rib and wing combo. The wings were again very good– probably my favorite of the big chains. I had Thai chili, which was tasty but not as spicy as I’d hoped; and honey mustard, which was great. The ribs were awful. I should have known better than to order at a non-BBQ place, but I had to try them. Probably boiled– no flavor in the meat. Not even super tender. The sauce was generic. I got chipotle BBQ, and there was a little heat, but overall it could have come from a Kraft bottle. Subbed the Happy Grains as a side instead of fries. Not appetizing in appearance, but actually pretty tasty, and hopefully healthy enough to offset the rest of my meal. I’ll be back. There’s more interesting stuff on the menu, the wings are great, and I like the atmosphere.

It’s a typical sports bar. If you’ve ever been to an Average Joe’s it’s sorta like that. Although they have less t.v.‘s. I liked the look of the place and the sunken bar. It seemed clean and open. I went with a couple of friends and their two children and we were worried it’d be loud and we wouldn’t be able to talk and hear each other. Music was playing, but it was subtle enough that we were able to all carry on a conversation without any problems. We wanted to sit outside because they have a really awesome outdoor space. They also have a stage out there where they do live music Thurs-Sat. Unfortunately we could only sit out there if we were only drinking and ordering apps. You couldn’t actually order a meal out there. Which blew because it was nice out yesterday and it was freezing in the restaurant. A big plus with this place is that they do have a lot of healthy options. I was able to get grilled chicken and shrimp with a side of steamed veggies and brown rice. All of it was very good. Chicken was moist and the sauce was really good. The only complaint I have about the meal is I wish they would give you more shrimp. I think I had about 5 baby shrimp on my plate :( I tried my friends pulled pork sandwich and my other friends wings and both of those were very tasty as well. All in all it was a good experience. I will like to go back and see the live music and enjoy their patio space. The End.

I have been to this location about 3 times now with my family. Definitely a fan of the upgrade they did to this location(it used to be Gordys), and the food is pretty good as well. Wings are really good, and so are their burgers. I like how they imprint their mascot on the top of the burger buns. They have a kids area too, which keeps my 7-year-old occupied while we wait for food. ONLY thing that sucks is their wait staff. We were constantly running out of drinks, or needed more of something, and we were always waiting. Staff just doesn’t seem to care. Such a shame.

We have been here 3 – 4 times now. The owner is very friendly and attentive. Too bad I can not say the same for the staff. They just seem… not to care? Very nice remodel job to the inside of this facility(used to be Gordy’s). New flat screen tv’s all over and open floor plan. They have a kids area with game systems as well, which is nice. The food is pretty good. The Henney Chicken is amazing, probably the best thing here! Burgers are good too. The other items are good but nothing to write home about. The only other complaint I have is that food seems to take forever to get to table. Besides that it is a nice place. They REALLY need a new parking lot and to do more to the outside of the building though.

I visited for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. I’ve been eating in this building since 1987. It’s been called many things but I think Harry Buffalo is here to stay. Here’s what I liked: — This place is owned by people that actually work there. It started in Cleveland(Go Browns!) and they are expanding to Columbus. — The new owners made a large investment into fixing this place up. The most noticeable improvements are the garage doors that lift up to the main dining area and major interior/exterior updates. — They will keep the outdoor music venue going. — 30 beers on tap. — One of the best patios in Columbus. — The food was great. We tried the pulled pork sandwich, wings and buddha bowl. All of them were good. — Great prices. The happy hour prices were especially impressive. — The service was the best we’ve had in over a decade, at this location. We could tell our server was new but she was super nice and took great care of us. Here’s what I didn’t like: — Honestly, nothing worth mentioning. Great first visit. I’ll be back and will continue to update.

We have been coming to this location for more than 30 years whicht during that time has been many different names and owners. We remember The Scoreboard as one of the first. All of the places since then have had wings as an offering and other bar fare. The places has also long had a nice outdoor entertainment area featuring lots of local and area bands. The last owner just opened the place and didn’t put much effort into the inside. The place now looks newer, remodeled and up to date. We did come to tonight. specifically for the wings. We will probably go back again and try other things and hopefully see a few bands this summer. I use to be, and perhaps still am Columbus’ foremost expert on Buffalo wings. Even though I gave up the website I still enjoy a good wing. We didn’t know that the order we were about to place was tonight’s special. Being a weekday workday we didn’t want ant alcohol or softdrinks with caffeine or sugar. We ordered water. The waitress came back and told us in order to get the special we had to order drinks. My first reaction was that wasn’t mentioned on the menu and I don’t like being labeled a cheapskate because I ordered water. We do go out on weekends or non work days and spend a little more. The waitress probably thought we were cheap because she didn’t hear us order fries with it. We figured that one when they didn’t come with our order. Now to the wings. Clearly they want to make this a little upscale, or try to differentiate themselves from other wings. They marinate 24 hours, dry rub, bake, deep fry, massage, and read poetry to their chickens before taking their wings. Ok, I am kidding a little bit. But they wouldn’t score well on the authentic Buffalo wings scale, but they are good and their sauce isn’t just another Franks or Anchor clone. Many people, including myself will like them on their own merits. The hot sauce is a proper heat level and is definitely unique. The fries when they came were fresh cut seasoned fries. I would have been happy with Fresh cut fries, but clearly this place was to be seen as something serving something a little more than just standard bar fare. The seasoning also was unique, it was good. We will be back again to try other appealing looking offerings. Next, I hope they re-do the parking lot. Our second visit here was a Friday night and a good local band was playing so we were outside in the patio area. Huge area, lots of good service. Only appetizers available outside, but that is ok. My only real complaint about this place is they try too hard to be just a little different. Almost everything on their menu is typical bar fare, but they seem to always have to add their own touch. Many items have one little ingredient that I don’t want.

Ok they have a lot of kinks to work out. I’m sure Unilocal still thinks I’m a biotch but I’m me and I’m gonna remain me no matter how they wanna put me in my place. Um really the people here are clueless. But after you talk to them they tell you how intimidated they are and how the culture there sucks. I ordered the grilled chicken club with fries. Ym we did not get asked if we wanted anything else so we had to ask for condiments and more napkins. Not cool and the servers seemed so sad. My grilled chicken club was just ok and the fries were just okay too. Oh my 30 minutes after we sat the owner comes to us and asks if our food is okay ummmmmm dude never ask if food is just okay geez get happy treat your employees better and oh owner and General Manager get a real personality and learn the restaurant business. Guess Unilocal will continue to block me from Elites but I’m not gonna lie.

I was a regular at the previous business that was on this location named Gordy’s. My friends, family and I have been anxiously wanting for the new Harry Buffalo to open. How perfect that it opened right at the same time as my father and sisters birthdays! I went in right after work at 4:30 pm to check it out and see if it was kid friendly and if they took reservations. The hostess and manager were very helpful and welcoming. The place was already hopping full of patrons. It was very kid friendly and they did confirm they don’t take reservations or call aheads but he assured me he would get our party of 12 seated very quickly. First Impression when walking in… WOW. They totally remodeled the joint. I was blown away. More seating, better flow, extended bar, hostess that seats you. It is no longer a sports bar with food… its a restaurant whew you would be comfortable taking your kids and watch your favorite sports team at the same time! There is this cool like nook when you walk in that has gaming systems and comfy seats for the little kids(or big kids), to play while you wait or all night if you want! It’s so cool! My large party got there around 6:30 and we were seated within 15 minutes. The group of hostesses were very cute and so friendly. Our waitress Ally came right away and was full of smiles and energy. Our drinks came out in good time for a large group. Ally was on it. She constantly checked on us. Not only did she check on us but other wait staff and runners continued to check on us through the entire time we were there. The Food: Can you say DELICIOUS. There was not one thing that we tried that was not good! Here is what we got: Appetizers — Buffalo Chicken Dip. Pita Nachos. Loaded Potato Soup. BBQ Pork Potato Skins. Dinners — Cheese Pizza. Garlic Cheese Bread. Santa Fe Bowl(GF). Thai Bowl(GF). Rib Dinner. Garlic Shrimp Pasta. Garlic Parmesan Boneless Chicken wings. Various build your own burgers. Can I just tell you that ALL12 people in our party did not have ONE complaint about the food. All you heard was«Oh My God this is so good» and«Delicious». Not only is the food good but the prices are so cheap! You can totally take your family and it’s so affordable! The Drinks/Cocktails: They have a cool menu with a beer, shot, drink and pitcher of the month special. I got the Harry Buffalo mixed drink pitcher. It was really tasty but I’ll be honest not worth the $ 15, but I like things a little strong. The Hair of the Dog pitcher was not my cup of tea but everyone else loved it! We got Little Beer shots and they were made perfectly! Their shot of the month for February was just ok. I wasn’t a fan. The drinks came out quickly which is usually what you wait long for at a restaurant. My hats off to the bar. As a fellow bartender they did a great job with the drinks. One of the owners Lee came over when he could see we were almost done eating at the perfect time to not interrupt our meal. He was so friendly and talked to us for a while about the process and the changes that are still to come for the outside and banquet room that they haven’t even had a chance to work on yet. I am excited to see how it turns out! Hands down this place is 100% worth your time and money! I totally recommend it!
