My Cowboy Burger was on point. My veggie frites are a great alternative for normal fries. They tasted so good I didn’t need the ranch dip. I received great service from Haver.

Not much to write about. When I go to a burger place, I want the classic, no fuss. But they do have a wide variety of burgers they make.
The classic smash burger was good as expected. Which make them worth anyone’s while to visit the place.

love their burgers and the smashfries with olive oil, garlic and rosemary — absolutely heavenly! the last time i was at this establishment the tables were dirty the whole place could have used a good cleaning. the staff was friendly, though. i’d eat there anytime!

Sadly, this Samshburger was closed for several months due to some financial issues but I’m happy to see it’s reopened under new management (I think I read that this was now operating as a corporate location). In any case, I’m happy to see it’s back.
This was my first visit since Smashburger reopened and it’s as good as I remembered. I usually order the large classic Smashburger with the Smash fries (done with olive oil and rosemary). My wife tried the American classic with the sweet potato fries. We both felt like we made the right choice and both thought our burgers were excellent. I was able to snitch a couple of my wife’s sweet potato fries and I have to say they were excellent — might even try them in place of my usual Smash fries next visit.
Happy to see Smashburger back.

Very tasty smashed beef burgers. You can order everything a la carte; so if you want fries, get ‘em; if not, don’t. Interesting burger toppings and variety. It’s probably about time to go back;) Decently priced.

Overpriced. Small burgers. Mediocre taste. Save you money and go somewhere. Not worth the trip.

This Smashburger location recently re opened after being closed for ⁴⁄₅ months. We tried to order lunch today and an employee told us to order online. We ordered the entire doctors office lunch and realized we needed a credit card to order. We don’t have the credit card that belongs to the independent rep (who is buying our lunch)! So we called back to try to order over the phone. The man who answered argued with our receptionist saying «it’s easier if you just come inside to place the order»; well we work in a doctors office and can’t really do that. He said if we ordered online «our order would just sit there until we pick it» instead of prepare the food at the time requested. He could have taken an over the phone order with the amount of time he sat on the phone and argued with us! We won’t be coming back, which is disappointing because we love Smashburger and were excited when they reopened!

Fries were relatively cold however, the burgers were better than they were before getting shutdown, juicy and full of flavor.

Sign in the window today of the Westerville location that they are hiring and will reopen soon!

Please pay your taxes so that you may reopen. I tried to come grab a bite to eat and saw your sign. :(
The food has always been good, I was glad the sign said you didn’t pay your taxes and wasn’t a health violation lol.

Central Ohio’s three Smashburger restaurants have been closed — and it’s not clear when they’ll reopen.
The vendor’s license for local franchisee Venture53 Restaurants LLC has been suspended because it did not file or pay state sales taxes for either two consecutive reporting periods or three reporting periods in a 12-​month span, according to the Ohio Department of Taxation. The franchisee also is in the department’s Habitual Offenders Program.
Pink signs noting the closings were posted this week at the Smashburgers at 109 N. Hamilton Road in Gahanna, 552 S. State St. in Westerville and 8715 Owenfield Drive in Lewis Center…

The service was good but the food was WAY TOO GREASY (to the point I ended up throwing up)…AND for (basically) fast food it was pretty expensive it was 25 bucks for my husband and I to eat dinner and we split an order of fries! I wouldn’t go back!!!

Yummy! I absolutely love Smashburgers salads! They are quite different than the garden variety salads (no pun intended) you get elsewhere. The quality of ingredients has been top notch every time I’ve been there.
The restaurant itself is appealing — a place you can go and eat a meal comfortably. It’s clean, well lit, and the décor is nice — kind of Panera style. A nice lunch place.
When we’ve taken our kids, they’ve loved the burgers and fries. No one ever has trouble finding something they like. The menu has enough variety for just about any family.
I found the prices a bit high. When you have a family of 6, $ 60 to $ 70 seems like a lot for 5 burgers, 4 orders of fries, and a salad for me (and on occasion a milkshake for one or 2 of the kids), but it’s on par with other places of this kind — like Panera. That’s me, others might find that okay, but for us it’s a very occasional treat. We don’t eat fast food, but this is not fast food, it’s a much higher quality food, and good for a family meal.
I would recommend this restaurant for it’s yummy food — which is flavorful and different from other places around town.

Stopped by with my boys to try for the first time… their first time, too. Stood in line for over 10 minutes watching the cashier struggle with entering items in the register. She requested assistance from someone behind the scenes but no one came out to help. We left along with others tired of waiting and went somewhere else for dinner. So did not have a chance to try the food.

Screwed up order yet again. Took it to the manager to correct and nothing. Not spending anymore time/​$ here again.

I’ve met up with a friend for lunch here a couple of times (usually when they send out coupons). It’s the typical fast casual place — order at the counter and the food comes out to you. I like that they offer three kinds of Honest Tea as fountain drinks.
I’ve tried both the sweet potato and the smashfries, and am really just not a fan of the shoestring style. The burger is decent, though as others have mentioned, quite drippy. I really need to remember to order the kid’s smashburger instead of the regular size, which is far too much food when eaten with a side of fries.
It’s good and all, but I’ll probably only come again with a coupon and a friend. Otherwise, the price and location just aren’t good enough to draw me back.

Went to Smashburger last night for the first time. I ordered the classic smash (reg) with the veggie frites on the side and an Oreo shake. Everything was really good. The burger was very tasty, nice and juicy with a great flavor and the veggies were awesome. The Oreo shake was incredibly yummy, although for the size I think it should be at least a dollar less. The service was great and everyone was very friendly. My only warning is to stay away from the fried pickles. My other half got some and they were EXTREMELY salty. The only thing we could taste with those were the salt and nothing else.

The food was good. Burgers are worth going for. Servers are good.
I would type more so Unilocal is happier but I’m in a cast.

Sunday at 130pm. Busy! We were next in line, but lots of seated tables had table/​order displays (waiting for their meal to be brought out). Several carryouts were going out as well. Tables were cleared and cleaned. Floors were decent. Not too many fries on the floor. Bathrooms need attention that should have been done before opening. Table condiments were full. Ok the food is here. I have regrets that I did not have the menu ordering skills. Smash chicken is right! Probably ¼″ thick. I found any seasoning that was on it, underachieved. Hot sauce helped that. I’m used to bunless sandwiches wrapped heartily with lettuce. Not two pieces smaller than the chicken itself. No bun confused them enough to forget the chipotle mayo. When I asked for the «mayo» that was missing, the mgr brought regular. One bite, and I asked «is this chipotle?» «Oh u didn’t say that». I was made to feel like I was receiving an aftermarket substitute, instead of the factory original. If I order NO guac, then don’t give it to me. That lesson cost me $ 7.29. I will be much happier in the future with a $ 7.99 chicken salad like the one I can get ANYWHERE else. I don’t believe much will set them apart.
Burger lovers should ignore this review altogether. I’m counting calories. Maybe I’ll look up the black bean burger.

Geez this is an example of where I want to give three and a half stars. Since I can’t I’ll give three. I came here with my better half after working out and we were very hungry. I ordered the regular bacon cheeseburger and regular fries and my husband ordered the big classic Smashburger. Not sure from other reviews about grainy meat but ours was tasty and juicy and the right amount of toppings they even asked if we were ok with those or wanted to substitute ad in having it my way and I’m not even at Burger King. My favorite thing was the matchstick fries I mean yummy after seasoning to my taste. Yup I’m a sucker for the little guys and it’s one reason why I’d go back. I got an iced tea and our total tab was less than seventeen bucks albeit we shared and order of fries because they give you a bunch. We had great service and obviously thinking they are upping their game from previous poor reviews. We will go back again.

Tasty burgers, plenty of toppings options, and good fries (regular, sweet potato, or Smash Fries with olive oil, rosemary, and salt).

My husband and I like Smashburgers. The problem is I called the other day to see if I could pick up a hamburger to go… the lady that answered the phone asked me to hold… she never came back and I drove to the restaurant before or if she ever did pick up the phone. When I got there, there was one gentleman in line before me. The woman on duty didn’t bother to notice him or me waiting and waiting and waiting while she kept coming in and out of the kitchen. Then she wiped her face with her hand. I left. I also wrote a complaint to Smashburgers where they said they would get back to me within 48 hours. I am still waiting.
I hear the Smashburgers in Gahanna is good. I also heard someone else had problems with the Westerville Smashburger. There are too many good, reasonably priced restaurants around to warrant bad service from any of them.

Tonight was my 2^nd time trying Smashburger, both at the Westerville location.
The first time was right after they opened. When all six of us that went were unimpressed we decided there were better places to go.
Tonight I was on my own so I decided to give it another shot since it’s been open for quite awhile. It was just as bad, if not worse.
The sides are fine. They aren’t great, they aren’t bad. I almost got a shake but they were $ 4 – 5. No thanks.
The burgers are quite bad. The meat is grainy and taste burnt. They’re also small for the price. The bun has no taste. The bacon was over-​cooked.
I almost went with two stars because the sweet potato fries weren’t gross, but being that it’s a burger place I don’t want to give false hope.
If I’m in this area and want a burger, I’ll go across the street to Wendy’s and save some money for better quality. If I want a great burger at this price I’ll go to Five Guys. The drive would be well worth it.

I’ve only eaten here once a few weeks ago but I thought the burger, of which I ordered the Smashburger basic (as it comes) was very, very good. I especially liked the bun which is made with egg I guess, although my fiancé was not a fan. The place, being new, is super clean and sparkly of course and the staff, also probably new, are super friendly and nice. I didn’t get a chance to try their Haagen Daaz milkshake but saw someone with one and it looked incredibly appealing. Will try that next time I’m there.
All in all, I really liked this place alot but my fiancé said we are sticking with Five Guys. I’ll probably have to sneak on over when she’s at work sometime.

I’m not a huge burger eater, but when I do… Smashburger does the trick!
They have a truckload of flavors and choices – from different buns, to chicken options, to veggie options, to side options. Get it? They have options.
The people are super friendly, the place is spotless, and the food is consistently good. Graffiti Burger used to be my go-​to, but, well, they pretty much suck now. So Smashburger to the rescue!
My only itsy bitsy gripe is that everything is really, really greasy. The burgers are drippy, and even the «fresh» veggies get a dunk in the deep fryer. Blech!

They say California has In ‘N Out and the East Coast has Five Guys. Well, look out boys, there is a new player in town and they can give anyone a run for its money.
I had to get more of that Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger!
The 7oz patty covered with mushroom and Swiss took me to a special place. The burger was slightly more filling than I previously experienced. The bun had more flavoring — as if too much butter was on it but I ignored it! Instead, I let the juices flow from the burger on to my tongue. This 1 burger alone can compete with any restaurant’s finest burger.
Sides — I love the regular and sweet potato fries here but glad I opted for regular as the burger took me by surprise.
If there is 1 down side, it sure is a long walk back to the other side for a soda refill. With good food, you know you’ll need it. On the hand, if you are a beer drinker, they got that too!
Service: My burger arrived rather promptly. Good to see the Asst. Manager constantly walking around and asking patrons if there was anything else they needed or if everything was alright.

After last weeks great Unilocal event here I decided to make a regular hours late lunch stop. Placed my order for the Classic Big Smash, the off-​menu side Fried Pepper Rings and a drinkable, I was then given my self-​serve cup and a number placard and found a seat at one of the large comfy booths.
After a short wait my order was delivered to my table. First off, I like how they deliver your burger here, top off, letting you pick off items or add condiments. You don’t have to commit surgery here to adjust things to your own personal taste.
Second, plenty of napkins at the table, I judge a great burger by the pile of napkins I go through. You want a tidy little sandwich? Then go to one of the corner cardboard box places that splort burgers out of machine in back. This place is all about the 100% Certified Angus burgers, lovingly smashed on the grill.
Fresh lettuce, tomato, red onion and Smash sauce on a nice egg bun made this a juicy tasty classic burger. The lightly battered mild yellow pepper rings were the perfect side and will keep me coming back.
The sum up; Tasty fresh burgers and fried original sides, comfy seating, friendly service and cold beers too. Color me jaded but, there’s a lot to like about Smashburger in my book…
…Doh, the only thing I forgot this trip is that they offer a fried egg upgrade for your burger, oh well, next visit indeed…
