What a wonderful place. I had the best blackened salmon — I typically take five bites of anything and bring the rest home and I ate the entire large piece of salmon. It was delicious and I can’t wait to go back! Love having an interesting space to stare into — planes up, planes down, planes all around. What else was all around? The owner and chef checking in with all of his customers. You can’t manufacture caring. He cares! It must leak down to all employees because everyone was great. We also had the fried mozzarella as an app — yum. My aunt had ribs — she loved ‘em. I already know what I’m getting when I return. I live 1.5 hours away and I’ll be back! Loved it. I spend a lot of time on Martha’s Vineyard and go to the Right Fork Diner right next to the private(very busy!) plane airport. I don’t fly I just like staring into space… For an hour or two? There’s something about Papps I just like better; however, much love for the Right Fork Diner too. Papps really has it all in my eyes! Many menu options from quick and casual to every step up to wow! Thank you! We will be back and bring others with us.

The food was bland and over priced for such tiny portions … Clam chowder tasted like sour cream with fish flavor!

Outstanding food and service. They will truly go out of their way to satisfy. Lobster sandwich the best I have ever had.

Love this place. Have been t here 3 times since we discovered it in August. Watching the planes come in is so much fun! The staff are so nice and accommodating(especially the tie we brought our toddler grandson). The food is very good and the chef will accomodate special requests.

‘Eh. We stopped by here for lunch and it was ok. There was nothing hugely wrong but nothing wowed us either. We ate on the deck and it is pretty cool seeing the planes take off and land while you eat — so ambiance definitely is the selling point here. The service was not very good — don’t expect to be swept off your feet by any means. The food was ok. The tomato bruschetta appetizer was great — fresh tomatoes diced over cheesy garlic bread. We liked this a lot! The Otis sandwich was delicious — I think probably the best thing we tried! The wraps were underwhelming. The actual wrap was just turning the corner towards completely stale. The french fries were a bit soggy but the onion rings were crisp and very good. The chips tasted homemade and were a good side. Overall, we had an ok experience — we wouldn’t rush back but would consider heading to the outdoor bar for drinks and the view.

Went here for Lunch with my family, love the ambiance of the place, and there was a group doing flights with vintage aircraft while we were there. Ordered salads and meals, my wife got oil and vinegar dressing with the intention of using the vinegar on her fish as well as the salad, everything good up until we were almost done with our meals and we noticed 10 — 15 dead fruit flies floating in the vinegar, we notified our waitress who took the bottle to the back and came back with the check(we were ready for it) and said the Manager had comped us for our salads due to the fruit flies(this amounted to $ 2). I told her that was an insult and asked to speak to the manager. When the manager came to our table he told us he wasn’t told about this until he was asked to come and speak to us. So either he is lying or the waitress was lying when she told us the manager comped us. And after listening to him give 10 minutes worth of excuses he said he was going to comp my wifes meal, which then took another 10 — 15 minutes before he came back to the table. He did also give us a gift card for $ 15, but I won’t be back. There were so many ways that they failed: 1. Having dead bugs in the Vinegar 2. Either the waitress or the Manager lying about when he was told about it 3. Only offering to comp $ 2 after finding the dead bugs 4. Needing to ask for the Manager, that type of discovery should have resulted in the manager coming over right away without us asking. 5. Making excuses as to why dead bugs were in the Vinegar rather than apologizing 6. Taking far too long to fix the check The dead bugs were bad enough, the way the situation was handled will result in me never returning.

Food was excellent! I had the chicken club and onion rings. I still have guilt, because I could not stop eating the generous portion of onion rings until they were gone. The chicken was tender The bun was very tasty. The tomato must have been locally grown, because it was tasty. We watched the planes come and go from the sky deck The highlight was watching the 4F14’s take off with full afterburners. Oh, and seeing the very large Falcon jet land and park. Only one person was on it. Must be nice! It is a fun place and we had a really good day.

Papps was exactly what I wanted it to be: Laid back bar and grill atmosphere without every single item being frozen/fried like you usually get at a bar/grill. We were sad we didn’t get to see any of the F15s take off, but I felt like a kid watching helicopters and small planes take off 200 feet from my table. My fiancé and I had the Otis(crab cake sandwich) and the salmon burger. Both were excellent! The Otis is something the new chef brought over from his previous restaurant and my fiancé absolutely loved it. I expected the salmon to be the standard frozen patty you usually find at this price, but it was actually a big piece of fresh fish on a toasty bun cooked to perfection. We finished our meal off with the Crème brûlée cheesecake; I had never thought of this lovely combination before and it was light and delicious. Service was great and the restaurant was very clean and had tasteful simple decorations. This is a great spot for an affordable meal. I’d love to come back at night and have a few drinks on the deck outside on the roof!

Great atmosphere out on the roof deck. Drinks were reasonably priced and the food was good. The chef came out to check on the meal and the bartender could hold a conversation while taking care of everyone. There’s a retractable awning and heaters over the bar that made me want to head back there on a nice fall evening when the views could be a little more scenic. Overall my entire party(8) was pleased. Everyone said they would return. There are limited adult bars in Westfield but this definitely qualifies as one.

Ok 1st of all the hostess was not familiar with the menu & wasn’t enthusiastic when we asked questions about this restaurant before being seated.(1st turn off), 2nd the waitresses are hideous(1 was 16& pregnant, the other was a complete mess), 3rd the menu was so-so(nothing really appealing or out of the ordinary) 4th the food was terrible(blah, ick, yuck) 5th the bartender would be a better used car salesman. Ok, then the food arrived… It was mediocre(nothing great) salad fine, 1 soup of the day(so-so), entrees below average! Would NOT recommend(maybe for drinks to see planes take off or land) or to have a drink outdoors. Great location, food not so good! Save your money & eat at Wendy’s or Subway

The menu was simple and the food was good. The best part was the planes coming and going.

What a surprise my son and I had yesterday when we decided to try out the new restaurant at Barnes Airport. They renovated the entire place both upstairs and down. It looks great! The menu is the normal sports bar stuff which was perfect for a sunny afternoon. We chose to sit upstairs, outside to watch the planes take-off and land. I was very happy to see so many people there supporting the restaurant and enjoying the day outside. We arrived just prior to a small rain shower and quickly moved our seating under the impressive retractable roof. The food was great with average pricing and the whole experience was very enjoyable thanks to the jets taking off, a few airplanes and a Robinson R66(turbine powered helicopter) coming in just as we were done. It still takes time to pick up the food from downstairs but the servers did a great job keeping everything moving on a busy afternoon. We are looking forward to coming back with the rest of the family.

Atmosphere was very nice, simple, view is beautiful of the runway. Food was delicious. Grandfather had the steak, said it was the tastiest he’s had in a very long time. Chicken piccata was good, fried scallops were very tender and buffalo chicken sandwich was a lot for your money. Prices were very reasonable. Server was very attentive and helpful.

Gave it three stars for ambiance. Food was 2 stars. A nice looking place. Totally updated and comfortable with good views. Great wait staff!!! No waiting for a table at 5pm on a Friday night, which is a huge plus. Food was so so. Have had better. We had buffalo chicken sandwich with home made chips, chilli and Cesar salad. All fairly good but the Cesar salad was made with field greens instead of romaine lettuce. The best part of cesar salad is the romaine which stays crisp even when smothered with delicious cesar dressing and parmesan cheese. Using field greens kind of negates the best part. Dont bring a vegetarian to this restaurant. They will be disappointed.

Good food with a runway view of the airport. This place was always filled with pilots flying to Barnes for breakfast and lunch. The restaurant no longer serves breakfast and the sandwich menu is somewhat limited. What happened to the basics? No BLT? No wraps? Not even grilled cheese? The Clam Chowder was excellent however. The new menu is much better but Papps needs to get«back to basics«in order to attract the large pilot population once again, and likely the local patrons will follow.

Good food and a nice view! Definitely choose to dine upstairs on the rooftop patio! Burgers going out looked fantastic, our table had fried scallops, chicken kabobs, NY strip steak, and a tuna BLT. Everyone loved theirs.
