I’m a HUGE Hangar in Amherst fan(original, haven’t been to the new space). Love the environment. It’s like a cleaner version of the old Amherst location with a little more space. Wings: Up to par with Amherst. Same selection. Loved it. Beer: Great selection of beer on tap! Service: Solid. Nothing to get excited about. Went two days in a row(was working with a friend in the area). Two different servers. You’ll get your drinks quick, but once that first round comes in you have to search our your waitress to request more. Food is delivered by someone other than your waitress(or can be). Would have gone 5 star if the service improves. To be clear, it was solid! Just not attentive. I will return and if you like the old Amherst space, you’ll feel at home.

Really good wings and great service. My friends had nachos which looked great too but I didn’t have any as I was stuffing my face with chicken and Moscow mules. It can get busy and loud as its a local favorite.

I went in with my wife recently for dinner and ordered a salad and ten wings for us. Half kbbq half AB. That’s kicking barbeque and afterburner. Which i know from at working at the Springfield location for over 3 years. Well the wings came out half afterburner half jamacian jerk. Not a huge deal but i told the waitress, she apologized and brought them too the kitchen only to return a moment later telling me I was wrong. The cook said this is kicking barbeque. They refused to change the five that were wrong. Needless to say I was pretty steamed and won’t be going back.

I really liked this place. I’ve always been a fans of «wings over». This bar had a good amount of large tvs, tons of beers on tap, a really friendly bartender, and wings over served on plates. I will be back. Only con, beer was expensive, unless you got a nice big 22 oz

First time there, but I love what they did with the place. Wings were amazing and the aviation theme is fantastic.

My wife and I have always loved The Hanger in Amherst. When this one opened we had to try it. We weren’t that thrilled with the one in Springfield, as it’s more of a take-out place. The Westfield Hanger has a comfortable, old school pub feel. We were pleased to see that the craft beer selection was extensive enough to satisfy both of us, as my wife enjoys very hoppy ales and I like maltier porters and stouts. She likes the boneless wings, honey barbecue and garlic parmesan being her favorites. She swears that all three locations have different recipes, and that Amherst is the best. This was a close second, with Springfield coming in third. I usually get the buffalo flavor and haven’t noticed any difference between the three. They’re all good to me, but I have noticed that they all appear to be getting hotter as time goes on. Maybe it’s just me. Our last visit here was a bit different, as we decided to try one of their burgers, as well as our usual wing choices. Neither of us have huge appetites so we asked if we could split a barbecue bacon burger, which they had no problem doing. We were both impressed with the quality of this offering as it was well constructed, flavorful, and cooked exactly to our liking. The bacon was crisp and plentiful. We asked for mayo instead of barbecue sauce and Ashley, our server, was very accommodating(Amherst location had refused the same request). We both agreed that this burger was on par with Plan B in Springfield, or Local Burger in Noho, and at a comparable price. Ashley was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu and craft beer selections. We’ll be back.

The good: The building is really cool and industrial. It lends itself well to a sports bar. The food portions seemed pretty generous. I ordered two apps as a meal and had more than enough of both to take home. The overall consensus was the food was good… nothing amazing, but good. The good or bad depending on why you go: it’s a sports bar and there are tv’s hung everywhere for patrons, which is to be expected. I’d also expect for the volume to be turned up in the bar area where people are more apt to get rowdy over the game. The speakers in the dining area were as equally loud, though; and one was placed right above us, so we had to raise our voices considerably to be heard above it. Perhaps it’s all on one system so areas can’t be adjusted separately, but the volume seemed a bit excessive when the place wasn’t terribly busy. The bad: the waitress wasn’t terribly friendly. I don’t think she smiled once, and she had resting bitch-face, so every time she appeared at the table it looked as if we were an annoyance. My sis ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich to which the waitress curtly asked, «what flavor?» My sister was confused because she assumed(as most would) that a buffalo chicken sandwich would automatically come with buffalo sauce, so she said, «huh?» It would be like ordering a chicken marinara sandwich and having the waitress ask what flavor… the flavor is included in the name of the freakin sandwich! Why would that even be a question? The waitress repeated, «what flavor?» and my sister replied, «what do you mean?» The waitress was visibly losing patience and unhelpfully asked, «what flavor do you want on the sandwich?» and I realized she was asking her to choose from the various wing flavors on the other side of the menu. I pointed that out to my sister and she quickly made her choice. If the waitress had simply said«you have your choice of wing flavors on the other side of the menu,» instead of repeating the same question as if my sister was a dolt, it would have saved both of them the frustration and she would have gotten a better tip.

Great place to get some wings, good atmosphere, wings are great, haven’t tried all the flavors there are just too many but all the ones I’ve tried I have liked both the dry and wet, waffle fries are fantastic too. The waitstaff has always been friendly and courteous and the food always come out quickly.

Stopped by The Hangar for dinner after I asked a co-worker where to get wings while I was in town. The outside of the place leaves a bit to be desired and I was a bit disappointed to notice that I was walking into what was pretty much a dine-in version of the takeout wing chain«wings over». I sat at the bar and was recommended a great semi-local IPA«wormtown» and t was great. I started with some personal nachos can the perfect amount, that came with a cup of excellent chili. For wings I got Cajun teriyaki and Jamaican jerk and both were great. I’m a bit of a wing snob, being the owner of a wing place an all, but I thoroughly enjoyed both flavors. The place was nice and staff was friendly. Minus one star for he bartender being on her phone more than engages with the customers at the bar.

We had a horrible waitress, Ashley. We waited almost 15 minutes for our drinks, she was rude, brought us wrong order, when we said it wasn’t our order, she snarled at us! Completely unprofessional! We will NEVER return to this place because they obviously do not hire people for there customer satisfaction skills!

My wife, son and His girlfriend, and I went here 7÷17÷15. It was late at night, and we were hungry after driving from the Boston area. I like the fact that you can seat yourself.(How many times have I gotten stuffed in a small booth in the corner in other restaurants.) We sat at a very comfortable table. The atmosphere is great. My son and his girlfriend played a few songs in the jukebox. Awesome sound system! The wings were incredible! We ordered the Teriyaki, and honey mustard flavors. This was our second time here. Our first time I ordered the Buffalo wimpy flavor, and my mouth was on fire. I must be a wimp. haha! I like the Teriyaki and Honey Mustard flavors better. Fries were good, Rings were good. Good pours on the drinks, Beer is ice cold. Good size on the cups of soda.

I love this place. 1st time here, will not be my last. Me and the Wifey started with drinks: Jungle Juice and Stoli Sunset. Jungle juice was ℉^¢k!NG amazing! Service was prompt and attentive. Atmosphere is trendy college sports bar, with some creativity. We ordered the Potato Bombs twiced baked with cheese and bacon, we added chili and sour cream. They hit the spot! For meals we ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich with pickles, mayo, and lettuce. Wifey got The Red Baron burger with cheese bacon grilled onions and a fried egg. She didn’t get the fried egg cause she’s a littlle baby! But it was great. Couldn’t be happier with my first time here! Will be back soon!

Now you known what you’re going to get going to The Hangar, solid wings in a number of good sauces. You also know what type of clientele they are expecting to attract when the don’t have child seats or any changing facilities in their bathrooms. Luckily our 9 month old was a champ and well loved by those around us so it was not a big deal for us. Actually the 7 year old at the table next to us was a bigger nuisance, spilling her chocolate milk on herself and crying. So for the food, this was our second visit to the Westfield location, the kitchen is not as quick as the Amherst location. I would imagine it will come. We ordered the basic 15 wings in three sauces, citrus bbq, west Texas mesquite, and hot garlic. Also the waffle fries dusted in the garlic Parmesan rub. Waffle fries were super, when you get to the bottom of the bowl it is like getting to the bottom of the pretzel bits and pieces bag, just a smattering of small pieces and delicious seasoning. I was not feeling 100% so no buffalo. The citrus bbq was interesting, I really liked how the sauce glazed the wings. I just couldn’t place the citrus, it didn’t taste like any specific citrus in particular. The west Texas mesquite was good. There is one garlic sauce that I’ve had at the Hangar that I have really enjoyed, but I can never remember which one. Well the hot garlic seemed to be raw garlic chunks in a buffalo type sauce. It smelled great and I would try it again now that I know what I’m getting myself into. And to top things off they were really understaffed that day. Our waitress was very kind even though she was so overwhelmed. If they are going to be the place to be in Westfield they have got to know when there are big events going on in town.
