This cute little joint is right by the beach, you can always take a quick walk there for lunch. They have an indoor and outdoor seating. Food was really good, nothing fancy. I had a jerk steak with fries, it was really good! My boyfriend had the steam platter, came with lots of mussels, lobster and little neck clams. On the weekends they have a nice band playing good songs. The service was lacking a bit. My friend ended up getting a hair in her food, it took almost 30 minutes for the waitress to come to our table and take care of the issue.

I have been to this place probably 5 times and have had only good experiences. This past particular time however was awful. My group of 5 arrived at 430pm on a Monday to get some dinner. Only 1 of us was over 21. We were immediately shown a table and was told about the 20c wing special at 5. We were told that in order to get 20c wings everyone has to get a drink, whether alcoholic or not. They put our drink orders in and told us that they don’t have power at the moment but the kitchen will be running soon. 1HOUR later a man comes up to us rudely and says we need to see ur id. We were like why do we need to show ID we are under 21. He then told us we had to leave and pay for our drinks because you have to be over 21 to have the wing special and can’t even be at the restaurant after 5. We told him we were waiting for an hour and no one said we had to be over 21 and the waitress knew we were underage and we only got the drinks because we were told that’s how we get the cheap wings. We were kicked out anyways and had to go somewhere else. They never took a second to be polite despite the mistakes of their poorly informed staff. Waste of an hour and one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant especially a restaurant that I loved.

Favorite summer spot by the beach! Great for wings and steamers. We had our rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding and it was the perfect casual evening filled with lobster and beer.

No frills«beach» food at fair prices in a casual, fun environment. Go for the lobster roll or lobster bake when summer season is in full swing. Tuesday nights get you 10 cent wings. Order a side of seasoned fries to pair. A perfect spot for beer and some bites.

It’s an ok place. Conveniently located near Cupsogue Beach, which is a plus. Really good calamari. Lobster roll isn’t that great. Good portion, but has weird seasoning in it. Crab cakes are ok but pricey for the portion.

I don’t really understand the rave reviews for this place. I went here twice and both times I had the same experience. The food is mediocre-at best. I went here yesterday with my boyfriend. It wasn’t that crowded. We waited about 20 minutes for a table. We sat outside which was nice. It took about 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Our waitress came and we knew what we wanted. Two lobster rolls, a shrimp cocktail, a sprite and a corona. That was it. My boyfriend asked for the food to come out all together. Pretty easy order you would think, right? 10 minutes later our shrimp came out. It didn’t taste that fresh, but it was still okay. We finished that THEN our drinks came out. A few minutes later our lobster rolls came out. It would have been nice to get our drinks first like they should have, and our food brought together like asked. The lobster roll was, again. Okay. I’ve had way better for half the price. I was half way through my beer and the whole time I thought it tasted funny. That’s when I realized it was a corona light. I didn’t even bother saying anything since I drank most of it, and our waitress never came to see how everything was. The bill was 78 dollars. That seems extreme for what we got. I won’t be back a third time. It’s a shame because the place is cute and they sure do have a prime location, however that doesn’t make up for overpriced average food and poor service.

Great place to come to after the beach. Super casual, great music, friendly staff, and the food is pretty good too. My only complaint is I got eaten alive by mosquito’s…but that’s to be expected at an outdoor place right by the bay… saving grace — They had bug spray!!! Definitely a must try!

I should give five stars but can’t due to the overwhelming fly problem hordes of them on food on your skin it’s sad cause the food is fantastic and so is the atmosphere

Very busy place, we had to wait in line on the road in our car to get in. This is a cool local place with an island feel. It happened to be WING Monday and wings were only $.10 each. We also ordered calamari, fries, and a lobsters role. The desserts were nothing fancy, but very good.

Location is A ++. Food is pretty good too. Amazing sunsets over the bay make for a relaxing atmosphere. Touristy to the max and when the band is playing, loud! Great wing special on Monday night…10 cents a wing! That’s a deal. Enjoy a cocktail and some appetizers and you will be a happy camper.

We have been coming here for years. The steamers are excellent and fresh. They do run out sometimes. That is my only complaint. The lobster roll is great and on the larger size as lobster rolls go. The wings are terrific and Monday nights are 10 cent wing nite. Super casual and fun. There is also live music sometimes at night. A great view of the bay. Service can be a little slow but that’s part of the vibe of the place. Try it if you are in the area. A great local joint.

Nice outdoor atmosphere, friendly service and good food. They had a live band that wasn’t overbearing, too loud nor intrusive. A nice place to bring your family in Westhampton Beach. Unlike Southampton or Montage Westhampton Beach is still accessible and family friendly.

I’ve been here several times. The food here is very good. Definitely above average bar fare. The lobster rolls and steamers are personal favorites of ours and are the«go-to items» whenever we sit down for lunch. The hot chicken wings are some the best I have ever tasted. They are out of this world! Great drinks as well, and reasonably priced, which allows for a fun time in the afternoon sun or at night. Some nights here are more fun than others(depending on the crowd), but this place is definitely worth at least a stop on a night out. The bartenders and servers here are very friendly, but if crowded, be prepared to wait a little bit to be taken care of. All in all, a good establishment. Will continue to go here all summer, especially now that Dune Deck has closed.

Food was underwhelming. Margarita was terrible, and should invest in expanding their menu and drink menu a little. I don’t want to take away from the breezy beach aesthetic… But has potential to be best of both worlds!

After the years I’ve been going to Cupsogue with my family, we finally went here this past summer for dinner. It was my niece’s birthday nd she wanted to go to a ‘beachy place’. We went here right after Cupsogue. Perfect vibe, very casual. People were there like us in summer clothes over bathing suits and then people in polos and khakis. Very fun atmosphere. The wait was over an hour but we hung out at the bar. They had a guy singing playing guitar while everyone drank and ate. The back of the place, by the outdoor seating is the bay view of Westhampton and we were lucky enough to catch the sun setting while finishing up dinner. The food was really good. We all had their stuffed quahog that is huge– good enough as an appetizer. And I had their grilled chicken salad which was delicious. Not a fan of seafood so that’s why I got the salad– everyone else that eats seafood said their food was good. Will def be going back this summer.

Yep. I’ve been here. Several times. Never been asked to leave, so there’s that. These are tolerant people. I don’t remember a lot of details about being here. Good, cheap drinks. Lot’s of people, mostly young and good looking. Gravel parking lot where, thankfully, I have never woken to find my face pressed against. Are you getting the idea that a LOT of drinking goes on at JSSS? You should. A LOT of drinking goes on at JSSS. Back when I drank, I did it here. Designated driver, folks, there’s cops waiting on Dune Road. But it’s a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, they live up to the«shack» in their name in terms of the filthiness of their bathroom, and not in their pricing. But if you’re dining on Dune Road, it’s probably going to cost you a pretty penny no matter where you go(well drinks down the road go for about $ 20 apiece). That said, they’ve got fairly large portions of decent grub. Anything with the fried popcorn shrimp will be tasty enough(the buffalo shrimp wrap, the firecracker shrimp app), and the fries themselves are reminiscent of McDonald’s(in a good way). You’re paying a bit more than it feels like you should, but if you don’t like eating fried seafood in the sunshine with a beer in your hand, you’ve got bigger problems.
