The Vaquero Club

I met a good friend and colleague at Vaquero for breakfast during the holidays. The Club is located in a gated/​guarded community in Westlake, and once the guard got over my entering in my shiny Toyota Prius (I had it washed for the occasion) I was waved on through to join my friend.
They knew who I was and who I was meeting when I pulled up. A courteous employee ushered me through the men’s locker room to a very nice dining area that looked out on the golf course. My friend and I enjoyed a delicious breakfast, complete with fresh OJ, very good coffee, and all the trimmings.
After breakfast, my friend toured me through the men’s locker room where I saw Jason Witten’s locker — can you imagine joining a country club and having your locker next to #82?
I appreciated the time to catch up with my friend and the fact that he shared Vaquero with me. It was quite an experience!
