I don’t eat fast food often but when I do, I enjoy Wendy’s. However tonight I looked up the Wendy’s in Westland michigan on Google to make sure they were open. Google said until 1am. I was close by so I stopped at this location. I was greeted with the most genuine…“can I help you” over the loud speaker. At that moment I was thinking in my head. «Why yes you can. That would be why you are here. however, I wouldn’t know where here was without the big Wendy’s sign considering your generic rude greeting» I then decided to order a usual of mine. The half sized chicken Caesar salad. One of the few things that your can guarantee almost fresh after 7pm at fast food restaurants. I’m told at that moment that they do not have any of that item left but they have every other salad available. So curious I asked if they were out of chicken. The woman replied«no the lettuce». At this point I’m completely flabbergasted by her response because if they have every other salad available why wouldn’t a salad that involved only lettuce and cheese(minus the chicken) be available? My girlfriend was in the car with me during the visit and mentioned that she used to work there during her high school days. She told the woman on the speaker that she could combine two Caesar side salads and add chicken and it would be the same measurements as the half salad. I don’t know anything about what it takes to be a fast food employee, however the logic made sense to me. In comes the over zealous careerist«Tonya». She gets on the headset and states that, «I understand what your saying but we close in an hour and won’t chop lettuce tonight». Now either she had no idea what was going on and chimed in, or she showed her complete ignorance by telling me she understood what we asked but she won’t chop the lettuce and hour before close. Which by all means I never requested. I then asked if she really understood that concept of adding two side salads together. She cut me off and again insisted that she closed in an hour and wouldn’t chop lettuce. Sounds to me the school she went to as child forgot to teach her the concept of «comprehension» At this point I’m completely over the salad and mostly just amazed on how rude, lazy, and ignorant someone could sound. I ordered a few chilis and some French fries and left for the last time ever at that location. If you see this review Wendy’s on north Wayne rd in Westland michigan, know that I would have just taken the survey on the back of the receipt… However it was«mistakenly» not put in my bag. :/

Picked up lunch for Mom and a friend — all confirmed Wendy’s lovers. Hamburgers were dry and awful. Won’t be back anytime soon!

After an off kilter shopping experience myself and my family were quite hungry. However it was after 10pm and most eateries were closing soon even on a Friday night. We all decided upon Wendy’s and pulled up to the drivethru. The guy on the speaker was clearly frustrated dealing with a car full of indecisive people. Its a slight pain getting to the Speaker and trying to sort out what we all want while the guy on the speaker has nothing else to do by listen in as we decide our items. Nothing too complex… 2 people wanted the double cheeseburger combos, medium sized, both with cokes, one burger w/o mayo, and 1 large chili. 1 person wanted the spicy chicken filet combo, medium sized, with fruit punch, no mayo on the sandwich. and last person wanted the full sized Baja salad with the red jalapeño & avocado ranch dressings. all was just about $ 30 which is not bad to feed a carful of 4 adults. We paid the cash, got the food and pulled over to the side to sort it all out. After sorting and deciding everything looked kosher we left and went on our merry way home. Once home we divvied up the food. We soon learned that the spicy chicken filet combo was just a plain chicken filet not a spice filet & it had mayo. It could be remedied somewhat… a generous squirt of spicy brown mustard & a couple grinds of coarse ground pepper from the fridge/cabinet helped kick it up a few notches. Everything else seemed fine. But none of use liked the so called all natural cut fries with sea salt. Two of us thought they were even Saltier than they used to be. Clearly Wendy’s has some reworking for that. The next issue was the person who wanted the Full Sized Baja salad… This particular salad was supposed to have southwest style chili & beans as well as crunchy tortilla chips and guacamole on it. No where in any of the bags was any tortilla chips. And the Chili/Beans were in a small container with the bag that contained the Large Chili… Which 2 of us had assumed was an extra cup of small chili given to us by accident. It was not clear or marked well anywhere. Lastly the Baja salad we paid and ordered was supposed to be the Full Size one for $ 5.99. The salad container barely contained much more than basic greens mix. On the Wendy’s drivethru sign it makes you think this is some really wonderful Southwest salad. It was lackluster and lacking. A true waste of $ 6. I know of several failures in this adventure. Some were because of assumptions and some were clear stupidity on the part of Wendy’s employees. The fact that the Wendy’s Website shows 4 Wendy’s locations within a 5 mile Radius of the location we were at clearly shows There is No reason we ever have to re-visit this location again.
