A great wide selection of fabrics. I found a very beautiful blue fabric for my ao dai that is bring made right now. I can’t wait to wear it!

This was the first store I walked into, and it was probably the most well-stocked of the three stores I looked at. I LOVE my fabric: It’s the traditional red with gold embroidery of the dragon and phoenix, but the under layer is white. It’s not completely covered in gold embroidery like a lot of fabrics meant for wedding ao dai. It’s the perfect fusion of the traditional elements, but with a modern twist to it. Plus, I got a discount since the owner is an acquaintance from my dad’s military days. SCORE. Note: The the address on Unilocal is not correct. I found AA Mini Fabrics on accident when looking for Silk Image, so they must have moved.

I was there this past weekend looking for either: fabric or pre-made Qi Pao dresses that has the Dragon & Phoenix. If you want velvet, they have the simple design of the Dragon & Phoenix. If you want more details and more elegant looking fabric of the Dragon & Phoenix, they don’t have it. Their selection of Vietnamese attire is definately there. They do have some nice fabric to make regular qi pao, but definately not what I was looking for.

it’s lil saigon so u wouldn’t expect to find too many options for chinese fabrics. this is mainly a fabric store for vietnamese ao dai, but i been all over the place looking for wedding qi paos/cheongsams and this place had *excellent* quality fabrics! i was finally wowed by fabric here. $ 12/yard…not bad! they speak mainly vietnamese. they referred to me as «con»(child) instead of «chau»(niece), which i like too :)

Probably best known for their wide selection of colorful ornate fabrics to adorn the cultural Vietnamese ladies’ garment otherwise called the ‘áo dài’(pronounced: ‘ow yai’). Prices are reasonable considering you most likely need to go to a separate tailor to custom make your special outfit; usually worn on major occasions like traditional weddings. Also provide an assortment of footwear complimenting the dress to be made & cosmetics to complete the look. Everything well stocked & organized. Though limited English speaking, the ladies in service there are quite helpful & friendly too. Open almost everyday 10−7pm, on most major holidays too. Also nearby a pretty good BBQ Delicatessen Store that serves roasted duck, pigs, chickens, etc.
