Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Expensive $$$ for what you get. The burger isn’t even that great. Don’t believe the hype of this place. You are better served going elsewhere in town for a good burger. If you want to make a drive try FatBurger in Elkridge & Elevation Burger in Frederick. Don’t waste your money on these average tasting burgers and soggy fries.

Great food! Good order accuracy. Also has birch beer which is so difficult to find anywhere. They also provide condiments to go, such as malt vinegar.
The bad stuff you may not like… I noticed one time that an employee had gone to the grocery store in the plaza to buy some ingredients (buns specifically). They didn’t know I spoke Spanish but I heard them say to the guy carrying the groceries in to be more discreet about the bags. Not sure if this is proper protocol and to be fair, this was about 2 – 3 years ago.
The other thing is that the place was obviously a pizza hut (not only because I know, I was there, but because the place literally still looks like a pizza hut building). The inside is ok, but very industrial /​utilitarian, seems slapped together quickly. The chairs and tables are pretty plentiful though.
The speed is sometimes slow, but I don’t know if this is normal for this burger chain. It can take about 20 minutes to get a simple 2 burgers, 2 fries order.
But if those things don’t bug you, you can do a lot worse than here for delicious burgers.

The freebie peanuts were awesome, and the fries were great. This vegetarian did have a little problem with the menu though. Oh well, it is a burger joint, I can’t complain! The kids LOVED this place. Huge portions of fries and they said the burgers were awesome.

2.5 stars for greasy burger and fries. Fries were plentiful, however, they were mostly tiny pieces! Not as good as other Five Guys for food, but service was friendly and this location is quite spacious and has clean restrooms and lots of parking. Right on 97 making it a convenient spot to stop.
