What happened? The kids used to always request this place, now even they call it“UN-Friendlys”! It was always about the ice-cream, w/mediocre but edible food. They even added some“salad” options that were OK. The service was always as uninspired as the food, with longer than average wait times at every stage. But, let’s face it, the“Happy Ending“sundae was the draw, the pot o’gold at the end of a long & noisy rainbow. Admittedly, the double entendre always made me wince, but the ice cream was worth it all. Now the“Happy Ending” is gone, along w/the generous kid’s meal sundaes! What a terrible business decision! My kids would never have outgrown the“Happy Ending”…but Friendlys killed it & our patronage. Well, Especially now that we can find their ice cream at Giant or Safeway! Not worth the meh food, sticky booth seats,& inadequately supervised screaming rugrats. Hope they get a clue before they reach Chapter 11 !≠-O

If stars were earned just on service alone then I would have given 5. The waitress and manager were very nice and friendly. But the food is bad. Dry and overdone chicken fingers that tasted like the box they came in. Luckily the ice cream desserts don’t require culinary skills. Unfortunately something we ate there caused us all a bad case of food poisoning. There is something wrong with the kitchen in this place. Service and ice cream can’t cover for food that makes you sick. Will never return.

Stopped in for a Sundae with my wife. The reseese’s pieces sundae was just like when I was a kid. The service was fast and of course, friendly.

This was the worst«Friendly’s» restaurant I have ever been too, I wish I could give it zero stars. The restaurant was dirty, including the restrooms. The walls were sticky, and so were the tables. I ordered grilled chicken and it was rubbery and bland. My boyfriend ordered fried chicken tenders on a sandwich with no ranch and you could tell that they literally wiped the ranch off of it and gave it to him anyways. Plus his food was cold. We didn’t eat there we left. This was the first time I have ever ordered food at a restaurant and not ate there, I was very disappointed normally Friendly’s is normally a nice family place, well not this one!!!

Extremely dirty, I felt disgusting and couldn’t wait to leave. The food wasn’t any better. My husband got a burger and it just didn’t taste right, had a funny smell and taste.

Let me paint a word-picture. It’s around 1:30pm on a Thursday afternoon. There are maybe three or four tables. Otherwise, the restaurant is deserted. I wait two minutes to be seated because the hostess is socializing with the servers. I sit for ten minutes and wait. The servers socialize. They take care of the other handful of tables who are paying to leave. I’m seated right smack-dab in the center of the restaurant. The servers are walking right by my table. I’m impossible to miss. Not so much as a «can I get you something to drink?» For ten minutes. I got up and walked out. The local Friendly’s has never been known for great service or good food, but this was just unacceptable. Although my wallet and my stomach thanked me for seeking other options.

Dirty. My poached eggs were hard. My friends eggs were undercooked. When my friend opened the menu there was a large sample of caramel for tasting right on the menu. When I went to restroom to use some toilet tissue to blow my nose there was a sample of caramel on the side of the roll in case you wanted to sample it in the restroom. When I salted my food the salt shaker didn’t want to let go of my hand. Did I mention dirty? I want to like friendly a but next time I will bring plenty of Purell hand sanitizer and some wet naps. The waiter was polite.

Just go in here knowing that you’ll be completely frustrated by the poor service and you’ll come out fine. Love the buffalo chicken strips, and of course, there’s no point eating here unless you get some sort of ice cream treat. I love the addition of the cotton candy ice cream featuring COTTONCANDYPOPROCKSCANDY mixed right in.

I have very fond and nostalgic memories of Friendly’s restaurants from when I was a child. Sadly, the present reality is very far removed from that. This was by far the worst of them that I have ever been to. The service was slow, the food and ice cream was awful, the staff was inattentive, the order was messed up, and the cleanliness was abhorrent. Our waitress actually had a beard. One may argue that its unfair to criticize someone on their appearance as such. Possibly, however, one could only wonder what other aspects of personal hygiene this person has decided to forgo, and what other exceptions management has made with regards to cleanliness. Not once, but twice the giant stack of unwashed dishes in the kitchen came crashing down in a thunderous roar. When we received our meal, it was not as ordered. When we received our sundaes, the toppings were incorrect, and the remedy was to be handed a small plastic dish with the correct topping as to ‘fix’ it. I realize that this franchise overall is in its death throes right now, and with service like this, it’s not really surprising. I don’t imagine it will be too much longer before the brand disappears entirely. Years from now though, when I do think back on Friendly’s, it will be of the enjoyable times I had there as a child, not of this completely forgettable experience.
