I do not recommend this place at all. One of the worst places I’ve ever eaten. It took server over 15 minutes to even come to the table. Ordered food and drinks at same time. Took another 5 minutes to get drink. When server finally delivered drink he dropped the tray on my lap. I get it I’m a server myself and things happen but what really got me was the manager. My phone got soaked along with my cloths. I told the manager. He said he would take care of it. Never saw him again. When we were leaving I had to go find another manager. He had no clue about the situation. At least he was helpful and took my info in case my phone was ruined. And BTW the food wasn’t good either.

The food is pricy but still pretty good. The service however, both times that I went the servers were pretty slow. I understand given that it does get busy but they didn’t seem very attentive and one time one of the servers demanded I give them a bigger tip.

Plain and simple, this place is bad. Food is bland, service is terrible, and if you hit this place on a Friday or Saturday night you will be overwhelmed with the young 20 something crowd who to put it simply, can’t handle their liquor. The staff does very little to control the abnoxious behavior. Many better choices in the Westminster area.

Eh, kind of over priced for what you get. The best part is getting served your mug and it still has all the crude on it from last time. I take it you do not wash them after being used. Classy real classy.

This was an awful experience! Only one girl was assigned to the full bar– she was running around like crazy! The kitchen was so backed up we never got our food– after 30 minutes we settled our drinks and left! This place is mismanaged! The employees are set up for dealing with unsatisfied customers! So sad:(

Just left and not coming back. Went at 630 on Tuesday and sat at bar. 45 minutes later still no food. Would have left at 35 minutes but took 10 minutes to get bartenders’ attention. Never tasted never will

Visited today for my kids school fundraiser. We ordered The crab dip and pretzel appetizers both arrived overcooked. I ordered the chicken parm which was basically cold cafeteria mac n cheese with a little tomato sauce mixed mixed in. Furthermore, they put my salad on the same hot plate as my entrée. Needless to say the underside arrived brown and wilted. The waitress and staff were very nice, quick, and efficient. The manager did offer to take it off my bill. Based on my experience today, I doubt I will eat here anytime soon.

My last visit made me realize that I will never go to a Greene Turtle again to order food. I’ll just stick to the bar area to have a few drinks with friends and that’s it. I was sick the next day after eating from here and could not go to work. I will digress and not go into further details. The end.

This GT blows. Yeah I don’t mince words. I gave this place two stars because they have beer. The way that the inside is laid out is really bad. BWW’s is much better layout vs this GT. The food here is pathetic. It’s bar food but not really good here. The service is bad and most of all of the servers/bartenders seem angry. The Manager must be making them eat their own food in the back and that’s why we received attitude, lack of caring, slow to react, & general work ethic. I had the same bartender one afternoon for HH and I was or ding the same draft beer. Every time the bartender came over she asked me what I was drinking. One would think after I’ve ordered two drafts she might have caught on. Never happened and that’s awful. If you can’t tell this place is the worst Sports/TV bar in Westminster and perhaps Carroll County. Two stars might be too much but they do have beer.

We just ate on the patio at the Green Turtle in Westminster. The tables need a good washing. The waitress brought our food and did not ask if everything was all right or if we wanted anything else. She did not come back to offer drink refills or anything. It was not crowded. She was just a poor excuse for a waitress. People came from inside restaurant to smoke on the patio. When we got the check I asked if smoking was permitted in eating area of restaurant patio. She said«yes, that is why people come out here.» There were no ash trays or signs to indicate it was a smoking area. The cheeseburger that I ordered was cold on arrival. The place is a dump.

I fiancé and I are both Maryland Natives and thought that this would be a good choice and location to meet some friends from PA while in town. It was HORRIBLE! Our service experience was one of the worse I’ve ever received. Our server never introduced herself, didn’t smile until she dropped of the check, messed up on our drink orders multiple times, failed to take our one friends order(we were only a table of 5), never checked back, took 15 minutes to refill after we had to ask –and than the finale, hovered over the table once she presented the check until we placed the card. That was probably the longest she was ever even at the table, and of course after she ran the card and came to drop back off was the only time she smiled. Food was also mediocre, especially in comparison to other locations. Aside from the service and food, it was an all day hapy hour and they werent too busy. Our server told us on the second wrong drink that we had that there was a new bartender. What simple minded individual would have a new Bartender who cant make the simple rail drink or open the right beer the day they have an all day happy hour. Can’t imagine the chaos that would’ve existed had there been a lot of customers. Will not be returning here.

Fries were delish, service was pleasant but my turkey burger was disgusting. Im not sure if it was real turkey… it tasted bizarrely sweet and was rubbery and obviously frozen for quite some time. i don’t recommend this place.

So many things wrong with this place! The restaurant had maybe 3 other tables during lunch on a weekday. We had a medium sized group. Once we ordered we didn’t see our waiter until an hour later when our food finally came out. It had clearly been sitting under the food lamps with hot lettuce in the salads and gross food. 45 minutes in a member of our group went to find a manager but couldn’t find any staff. They advertise a quick lunch menu. False advertisement. Save yourself the trip for the overpriced food and beyond dismal service.

My first time here and I do believe I would go back. We went last night, Sunday, at 7ish… The place was almost empty except for a few Steeler and Redskin fans. I’m not sure if this is the norm, but it was a raven bye week. I ordered sweet potatoes fries(so good, and the dipping sauce was amazing) and the pecan apple salad.(I absolutely loved this salad, it was delicious) the carnivore ordered a bacon cheeseburger, and his exact words are«it tasted charbroiled… It was charbroiled yumminess» He’s a microbrew dude, so this was not a good beer night for him. He rated their beer a 3. He would ask for a beer and our waitress would keep offering bud light instead. I’m not sure why I knocked off a star… It could be it took a long time to get our food(40 mins) and there was no one there really. It could be the steeler fans screaming and hitting the tables… But maybe that’s just the raven fan in me that was annoyed :)

I’m really sorry to report that this usually reliable franchise has gone downhill. Enough that I want the management to know they have work to do! There are lots of choices for franchise food here in town, so to pay $ 76 for dried up nachos, 4 very mediocre sandwiches and 4 beers was astounding. The tab on my 22 ounce Blue Moon was $ 7.50, which if I’d known in advance, I would have had the Yuengling. Our server was prompt, cheerful, and helpful, and she earned the tip that took our total to $ 92, but that’s a hefty price for a fish sandwich(beer battered and it used to come on a nice, big roll that has morphed into a smallish Kaiser), a crabby melt(grilled cheese with crab), a grilled chicken Caesar wrap(miserably dry with no dressing at all), and my daughter’s chicken sandwich. Opting for the fries option at a buck apiece added to the check. Green Turtle management, heed: Get it together in the kitchen or that array of vacant tables last night may be a portent of things to come.

So I figured I’d write an update. Not long after the first review, my trivia team and I found«greener» pastures for our trivia fix at a local place in Westminster. Unfortunately, that local family pub shut down about 3 months ago leaving us high and dry for a place to play trivia. We tried a couple other places outside of Westminster but they were rather far comparatively and equally as expensive and only marginally better than the Turtle. So update — I’m now fully confident that if a tasty food can be ill prepared or otherwise made unappetizing, Greene Turtle will find a way to do it. Their burgers are flavored only by the char from the broiler. Their flatbread pizza was a glop of congealed cheese and looked like the toppings were shot out of a cannon at the dough. The wings remain drier than a pothead’s mouth in the desert. And mozzarella crescents?! Simply a fancy way to give you less and charge you more. I’ve resorted to eating prior to coming to the Turtle or stopping by Wawa on the way home. Honestly, not one thing that’ve had despite trying multiple things on the menu has been better than mediocre. How this place survives as a chain boggles my mind. The only thing that gives this place more than 1 star is that their craft beer selections has improved greatly. Wednesday night offers $ 2 off all craft and premium pints so for a relatively reasonable cost I can drink Dogfish 60 minute, Loose Cannon IPA, Sam Seasonal, Blue Moon and various other tasty beers that many of the chains in Westminster don’t provide. The only other thing that keeps me coming back is Amanda the bartender who works on Wednesday nights. Best server I’ve had at the Turtle by far. She’s friendly, timely and knows how to take care of customers. Only self loathing and trivia keep me coming back here. It’s too late for me but save yourself! Run, run away!

2⁄3 times coming here has been a disaster. I’ve been insulted by the staff and the«owner.» Food is below average bar food at best. Avoid this place and go somewhere where the staff and owners will value you a customer and you’ll get some half-way decent food.

Sadly disappointed, again. Wings are horrible. Food overall is below grade. And the service is mediocre at best. Never get anything with ‘crab’, it’s not Maryland/real crab meat.

First off, the server and manager were very nice, especially the server. However, I do have a tip for the manager — when I’m complaining, you’d do best to listen and say, «I hear you. Here is my solution, :xxxxx:. Does this solution alleviate any of the problem for you?». You did a good job of listening, but you tried to explain why the problem existed and because of that, just kind of sounded silly. So, I haven’t yet told the Unilocal community what the problem was… The problem was the price of the crab cake dish. $ 25 for a tiny bit of crab and a handful of fries. I felt like I paid $ 10 for the fries and therefore totally ripped off. The first word out of my mouth when the plate came was, «Outrageous!». I literally blurted it out! I couldn’t believe my own reaction; shocked by my reaction and by the tiny bit of food they just gave me for $ 25. The ahi tuna that my father had was quite good, if not a little over spiced. Despite this, I have to give the place a 1 star rating. I felt so ripped off, I’m still complaining about it hours later. I guess its not surprising that my first review on Unilocal is a complaint. I’m not one to complain to a manager, let alone write a bad review on Unilocal; this is totally out of character for me. But, I felt robbed!

Each Greene Turtle seems to have their own style and ambiance. This is very open with the bar as the dominating feature. I really like the«jumbotron» over the bar, the multitude of flat screen TVs and the mini-flat screens at each table area. You can catch any game — no fighting over the TV. The food is your basic bar food with the same offerings at the other Green Turtle bars. I have to say, this restaurant turns food out quickly. It’s great if you are hungry. We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and the Chicken Cheese Steak. The Philly Cheese Steak was decent, but the Chicken Cheese Steak had nice chunks of chicken that were perfectly cooked. They do chicken right! We liked the drink specials — $ 2.25 for 22 oz Miller Lite. We had a great server that was attentive, friendly and efficient. She made sure we had drinks and checked back on us frequently. I was impressed especially with our group of 8 and managing her other tables for a night of trivia.
