Great donuts! Everyone is very polite and friendly. My daughter loves the donut holes. My son loves the ham and cheese croissants.

Early morning around 4:45 am we stopped to get our sugar fix. I’ve come here in the past and have had good donut experience. I’ll be reviewing my choices. I had a chocolate donut bar and thought the chocolate donut to be just shy of tasting like the milky chocolate I am used to. That really isn’t bad at all for the chocolate coating. Perhaps it is the doughy donut that made the difference in taste. The donut was heavy and I could taste the frying oil. To go with the donut I had a small cup of coffee and glad I did as it made the donut easier to swallow. Did I just get a fluke, new chef?, an old donut… I also took home a baked croissant that I had for an early lunch. Not much liking this either. It was thickly dense rather than bubbly airy. The bottom of the croissant was thick and hard. I guess today was not my day to visit Sun’s Donuts. However, this shop is really not far so I would probably stop here again.

In my endless search for great tuna sandwiches, I found myself a donut shop. I don’t expect much from small donut shops, I’m not very big on donuts, but I have had good luck in finding great tuna sandwiches at them. I ordered the croissant tuna sandwhich. At first glance of the tuna it sell I noticed it’s creamy texture although, the recipe seemed very simple. I don’t make my own tuna, I prefer not to see it made, the taste is all that matters. Being that I was starving, I almost immediately took a bite. With the first chew I realized how fresh the leaf lettuce and the other veggies tasted that totally masked the flavor of the tuna. The croissant was perfectly textured and there was no dripping mess which I expected from the creamy looking tuna. The tuna itself was not exactly what I’m looking for. No dissapointment, I was still amazed by the sandwich. Apart from it I was also given a donut, for free I assume, I also ordered a coffeee, black. I took the donut home with the intention of giving it away, there was no one home. I’d hate to put it in the fridge, so I decided to share it with the dogs. Holy Mother of All Donuts! It was nothing less than a perfect glazed donut. The service was on point!

Ive been going here since I was a kid! Fresh donuts since I come in the morning, but they recently changed owners or something cause I came here often because they had different types of donut holes. They only have the regular glaze ones now, they use to have the cake donut holes and they were delish! But this place is still good! Tried their blueberry glazed donut and it was pretty good compare to other places

This place tastes great. My ham and cheese croissant and tiger tail was better than anticipated. The croissant was filled with delicious ham and there wasn’t too much cheese; surprisingly, a good thing. The tiger tail was the size of my forearm and I’m glad it was because the people I was sharing with chowed down like it was their last meal. It’s cheap and delicious, perfect donut shop in my book!

Truly the best donut place near my house and the lady that works there is always friendly the prices are reasonable and the ham and cheese croissant is the bomb food at this place. Sometimes this fat kid works there and he’s just adorable

The donuts I got were fresh and tasted good, not greasy. The coffee had been on the warmer for awhile so the young lady helping me made a new pot right away. I didn’t even have to ask. The only negative thing was that in my opinion the donuts could have used more icing. But when I factored in the high level of customer service received the icing was a non-issue.

Workers were so rude because I asked them to heat up my croissant. Which by the way I got a ham and cheese one that only came with barely a slice of ham. Coffee was HORRIBLE. They must’ve given me the end of the pot because there were coffee flakes floating all throughout the cup. I will never be going back here.

Best Donuts and Croissants in town. The Ham and Cheese Croissants here are the best in town and they’re freakin’ huge! Bleneded drinks are good too.

Donuts are always fresh and this place always seems to be open when I’m craving for some sweets late at night. Don’t be discouraged that you have to order/pay/look through the metL bars at night. Safety first! LOL!

Great place to get your morning started. The owners are so friendly here. Tip: If you get a croissant, ask them to heat it up – it’s soft and delicious when heated.

Another one of my donut stops along the way to work. The only thing I ever get here are the cake donut holes. In fact, this is the only donut establishment on Beach Blvd. to sell cake(not yeast or raised) donut holes. As such, I give it 4 stars. Their other donuts are nothing to Unilocal about. The coffee — terrible! So I stop by Noah’s for a cup of Joe then on to Sun’s for some donut holes. Can’t beat it to start the day.

Donuts truly are the meal of champions, and Sun’s Donuts is a worthy provider. It just wouldn’t be a Friday morning without my «breakfast» of champions, especially given a round of «almost» champion-like drinking behavior last night at(what I’ll refer to as «YOCHH»). Diagnostics are as follows: My taste test revealed that Sun’s needs to put hazmat labels around the apple fritters. The brick they were calling an apple fritter was so hard on the outside, I could’ve inflicted some serious blunt force trauma. I thought it could’ve been old, but upon biting into it, it was clearly: 1. Fried too long(hence the hardness) 2. Had too much glaze(also contributing to «hard») 3. Filling wasn’t evenly dispersed(so the very middle was soft) However, Sun’s redeems itself based solely on the quality of their«ham and cheese croissant». The ham is lean and the cheese isn’t too overpowering. Though I could’ve used some more filling, the quality of butter croissant was superb. The croissant was buttery and flaky. In summary: Pros: 1. Location 2. Ham and Cheese croissant 3. An entire family of donut holes for the kids(sprinkled, glazed, etc) 4. Price. My apple fritter, ham and cheese croissant and coffee was under $ 5 Cons: 5. Apple fritter could be used as a lethal weapon. You don’t want this quality in a food item. Overall, when it comes to Sun’s Donuts, stick with the ham and cheese croissant.

This is a wonderful independent donut shop not far away from the Super 8 I stayed at over Labor Day weekend. The couple that runs the place(I’m assuming) were very friendly. Prices are quite reasonable, and the donuts are made fresh daily.(One female customer seemed surprised by this.) The plain cake donut is a great place to start, and the others we tried — maple frosted, chocolate frosted, and plain glazed were also quite tasty. The coffee is quite good, and they also offer an assortment of bottled juices. Nice to have within easy driving distance in a neighborhood that doesn’t have a lot going on within walking distance.
