I’m heading back to SF soon and my mom specifically told me to pick up food for her from Tan My, this place must be special if my mom asks for a 7-hour delivery! Ruoc Thit Heo — pork marinated with garlic, fish sauce, fresh ground pepper and sugar. Its prepared by cutting, marinating, boiling, then frying the pork and shredding it into little bits to eat with rice and bread. So simple, yet so complicated to make and delicious to eat Banh Cuon Nhan Thit with Nuoc Mam — rice noodle rolls wrapped around pork and shredded mushrooms served with spicy fish sauce. Often served with gio heo, lettuce, and beansprouts. One of my favorite Vietnamese dishes! The rice noodle roll is so soft, and they put just the right amount of meat filling. They have a lot of other good Viet dishes here such as nem chua, gio heo, and different types of things wrapped in banana leaves. Be sure to check it out, and reminder its CASHONLY.
